Coral spotlights have been my go to late night entertainment / research for the past couple weeks. I think i speak for many people when i say that this series is incredible. Thank you so much for the inspiration
Keep mine under 20K with zero issues. I also feed Reef Roids once a week and it loves the stuff. I keep my Alk at 9, Calcium at 420, and Magnesium at 1350. Great job on this subject as I think you hit the nail on the head with this one.
Great video as always (love the coral spotlights!). I have 4 different varieties of leptoseris, all at or near the bottom of the tank and one of which gets very little direct light. All are growing like mad after taking a bit of time to settle in. My goal is to get a bigger tank, where I can have them growing over really large areas. 👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing video! Love the information and great shots. I’m glad you are producing video for coral, but you may have missed your calling as a Hollywood producer 😉
I have watched most of your coral videos - I like the new format with regards to nutrient levels for the coral and how the chemicals react with eachother. The shameless plug at the end isn't so bad either.
been debating wether to pick up the jack-o-lantern and the incredible hulk leptoseris at my LFS for a while and now i’m sold, thanks again for a good video!
Wonderful video!! Really like how you did this. Thank you again for what you do. I hope to buy from you soon knowing that I’m getting healthy clean corals is everything!!!
I will say as for the lepto that I got from your sight it is actually an impressive feeder and has even eaten some of the largest mysis I've put on it. All be it slooooooow.
Jason Fox's Lava Flow Lepto is one of my favorites. Which leads me to my question. I have one, was looking good, nice intense color at first but it's starting to dull out. It is more towards the top of my aquarium. Too much light? Should I lower it down to a less bright spot? I have it under an AI Prime 16HD about 17 inches below the light which is 6 inches below the surface. I have growth so it's not parameters. What do yuh think?
Do you ship coral orders worldwide? I'd love to place a large order for my next upgrade. I was just on your webshop. Very very nice selection. Thanks. D
How aggressive is this coral to other color morphs if it’s own species? I just went to a bare bottom tank and I think I want the whole bottom to be covered in different colors of this!
I do really love these, alas, they do not love me. I've accidentally bleached them without realizing the light got nudged even slightly. I have to keep them in shadows and allow them to grow into the light
I have the yellow gold one and is about to touch a acro and afraid that it will kill the acro colony that I been growing for two years let’s just say is like my baby please what could happen if they touch 🧐😲😨😱
I was wrong, my Pavona is still alive but just barely. I also learned what I thought was a montipora was actually Encrusting Horn Coral (Hydnophora exesa).
Man i have had 2 wwc incredible hulk leptoseris and they wont last 2 weeks before they turn brown and die. Mind you i have tried putting them all the way on the bottom and even on shadowed area with some flow and nothing. My acans and montis are doing good though....
I have an Incredible Hulk Lepto and it has always thrived in my tank. I find Lepto to be incredibly hardy so I would evaluate your system to make sure you are providing what it needs. My Lepto's are literally one of the hardiest corals I own
@@lonestarpatriot876 hmm i wonder why mind telling me your parameters? And do you place them in shaded areas or in the middle of the rock work? Maybe its my kessils or something? Lol
@@marcelrodriguez2067 I keep my Alk at 9, Calc at 420, Magnesium 1350. What is funny is that mine are all at mid level in my tank on rock work and under 20K lighting although they were slowly adapted to the higher Kelvin. They are directly under the lighting so they are not shaded at all.
How aggressive is this coral to other color morphs if it’s own species? I just went to a bare bottom tank and I think I want the whole bottom to be covered in different colors of this!
That would be Sweet! I wanted one side of scape to have a colorful tree like look made of branch rock scaped together and each branch FULLY Encrusted with different Leptoseris.
I have no saltwater tanks but I love watching these videos because they're so pretty.
you should get one, its so much fun
Nobody educates, informs and does gorgeous videos better than You Thanh!! Keep up the awesome work and have an Awesome Coral Filled New Year!!
Thank you, happy new year to you too.

Such great, educational videos. They are beautiful.
Nice. This is so full of information. Thank You.
Thanks for the video!
That’s one big royal gramma!
Excellent video!
Thanks again. When researching coral I look here first.
This was a great one! Thank you so much. I learn a lot from these!

Brilliant care video all the information you could ask for
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it.

I love how long this video is. So much info
He goes as long as he needs
Really like those corals.
👍👍👍 happy new year!
Thank you. Happy New Year to you as well.
I love these coral so much I just picked up both a toxic green and a jack o lantern lepto from WWC. Amazing coloration!
I have watched most of your coral videos - I like the new format with regards to nutrient levels for the coral and how the chemicals react with eachother. The shameless plug at the end isn't so bad either.
My favorite SPS.

24k gold are my favorite one
My incredible hulk died in just a week, i guess these guys really dont like light that much ( i had mines under 200 par and still bleached)
Nice 👍

Fascinating!
I just ordered a JF jack o lantern lepto so this was extremely helpful!
Those are cool I love the 24k gold one
I will say as for the lepto that I got from your sight it is actually an impressive feeder and has even eaten some of the largest mysis I've put on it. All be it slooooooow.
You're the best
Neon green ones are cool
That first Lepto you showed after the animated title...
@TidalGardens 2:33 What kind if fish is this ? It's beautiful.
Really goof vid than. I own one love it it’s amazing
Lepto is the easiest one to keep than other corals. The coloration is a different thing.

I feed my lepto reef roids. Grows like crazy
Yeah my leptos love reef roids.
How do you add it? To the water? Or straight to them?
Marcel Rodriguez I spot feed with turkey baster
I have a small lepto frag and I have never seen its sweeper tentacles.
That's a good thing :)
Mine has been in the tank for all of 6 minutes and it's REACHING
does anyone know what the thing at 6:12 is?
nice coral 🪸
Will Leptosiris beat out aipstasia if on the same rock?
No I don't think it will.
Nope
I am missing the music from your older videos :( other than that great content as allways
Blame RUclips for that. I get copyright flagged for music I PAID for all the time and lose a month of monetization fighting it.
@@tidalgardens wow that's crazy. I wonder how 12g gets away with his videos loaded with clips and music.
What kind of lepto is @1:05?
Do you ship coral orders worldwide? I'd love to place a large order for my next upgrade. I was just on your webshop. Very very nice selection. Thanks. D
Are leptoseris and pavona related? They look eerily similar

What coral is pictured at 6:02?
Tunicate - ruclips.net/video/luWibG1opD8/видео.html
Do you think a lepto might like GonioPower?
Possible. It is a product I haven't used in a long time.
What species are these (not just genus)?
What is shown around the 6 minute mark? Anyone have a name?
Those are tunicates - ruclips.net/video/luWibG1opD8/видео.html

I HAVE THIS CORAL AND IT GLOW LIKE A FREAKING LED NOT LIEING I WANT MY WHOLE FLOOR IN MY TANK JUST COVER WITH THIS CORAL
Next is Psammocora?
I like that idea.
Agreed! I don’t think I’ve seen a video about Psammocora... I’d watch it. Ha!
I just had a Pavona die in my tank and am struggling to keep my encrusting montipora alive
I was wrong, my Pavona is still alive but just barely. I also learned what I thought was a montipora was actually Encrusting Horn Coral (Hydnophora exesa).
How is it now?
ESV!!!
Any leptoseris i put in my tank dies slowly, this and cyphastreas die so fast idk why. Even when i put them in the shade they end up bleaching.
It sounds like they are either not getting enough nutrition or are getting eaten.
@@tidalgardens well i did go through a dino battle a while ago so constantly have to keep dosing phosphates and it still stays at 0 for some reason.
I didn't know you're Ohio based! Me too!
