NO! your totally right! I've been in this hobby for 5 years and now in that exact spot. My system, organization and how the room/coral care is setup. Seeing people with WHOLE closets behind their tanks makes me almost jelous as THAT IS what it really takes! Basically a small bathroom/utility closet to cater to the whole reef system! This is why I CANNOT wait to get my Coral wall and station all setup in my office so that EVERYTHING looks soo simple and easy. While unneeded and can be automated and is. The abilities to take water and dip corals dipose of water and care for all things coral in one spot right nearr the tank makes life SOOOO much easier to do ANY task.
You could do 24/7 livestreams on the show tanks! I think that would be interesting, and coming back every couple of days, or weeks, would be very interesting to see the growth and changes. It's worth a shot! Love everything else you said!
My phone notification truncated the title of this video to "What is the Tidal Gardens Meth..." and I just see Than sitting there in a lab coat with blue hues all over. This coral farm is all a ruse. It's clear now he's got a Gus Fring-esque basement where the real action happens.
I've been following him since he started his RUclips channel, I think it's been like 13 years, and I've seen how his business has grown. It's always interesting how he explains things, although I've already heard some of them in other places and I've learned a lot from him, keep going.👍👍👍
Than, I would love to see a video where you go through and look at some packaged consumer aquarium options and apply your thought process/method to them. Not necessarily rating them, but giving us the questions that would go through your head in terms of reliability, stability, ease of maitenance, etc. Just an idea - feel free to take it or leave it!
Im on almost 2 years no water change, 3 times a year i get an oceamo ms test for 65$ and correct from there. Unless there is an issue from the water test would be the only reason I would do a water change at this point. It works and works well once you realize fish and coral like stability almost as much as they like the parameters to be within that happy range
Moonshine type methods may not be for everyone, but pretty hard to deny at this point that it works, there are large scale operation, tanks bigger than what tian has by 10s of thousands of gallons, applying this method with success. Doesnt mean you never do water changes, means u do them when needed, and the cost savings of less water changes shouldnt be neglected
Than!! Help! I have a blueberry sea fan, and all the time in the world to feed it phyto 20 times a day, and Im culturing my own phyto. Im dealing with gair alfae smothering oarts of the sean fan closing up polyps. Any recommendations? I have teied peroxide dip/dosing. I have vibrant but have not used it yet
@tidalgardens Awsome just got my first pair of atlantik orphek. Hopefully the corals and i like them 🙏 BTW we admire you lot's brother. Blessings and thanks for the hard work
Hey Than, speaking of "methods", what video editing software do you use? I trust what works for you must be surely be good enough for what I need to screw around for fun.
You never complain about good purchases…only bad ones. If we spend $300 on pump…because the $600 one is too expensive….but really you needed the $600 one you now bought a $600 pump for $900.
One of the best videos in my opinion. It was a Tidal Garden wisdom buffet.
Very Jake Adams vibes in this one
9: my 😊😮 10:14 ok😂😅😂n8😮 is 0h49 @@Jstn190
Best frags I have owned to date have come from Tidal Gardens.
Thank you!
I don’t hate on it, I like the Triton method for example. It works well for me.

I wish.
😂
@@tidalgardensif you set your mind to it, it would be the best there ever was 😂
MF got a bow-tie on. Definitely running something.

Tons of insight into the reef aquarium commercial industry, but also amazing advice for any business in general. 👏🏻
Glad it was helpful!
12:52 i love the way he said "good luck with that" with the grin
#9 hilarious. Self deprecating at its finest. Appreciate the humility.
What a tidaltalk 🙌🏼 great episode love listening to the thought and consideration that came into building that facility
amazing. thank you for what you do! super appreciate the level of honesty
Always great advice and I appreciate reminding people that 5,000+ gallon commercial systems don't operate like our tanks. It isn't said enough.
Sometimes individual tanks in those connected systems behave differently than one another even.
looking forward to expanding with some of your ideas in place. I've started to adapt a lot of what your thinking into the way I go about my systems
Go for it!
Labelling is basic manufacturing, as are floor plans etc, reduce waste where ever possible to reduce overheads and increase cost!!

this video is gold
Thanks March!
I would love to come and tour this beautiful facility.
Love the TG Method idea! Some great conversation pieces that I'd love to dig into with you soon.
For sure. This place is so different than the last time you visited as well. It would be good to catch up!
Than enjoyed meeting you at the Charlotte reef show! Glad to know you went to Michigan! Go blue! Keep up the great videos!
Go Blue!
I love your channel 🥺
Good info thank you
YAY NEW VID!!!

The mushrooms at 27:40 are amazing! Are they a type of Yuma? Do you have those for sale? Keep up the great work! Love all the videos.
They are a type of Ricordea yuma. They tend to not do well in captivity.
Thanks for this video!! Quick question you use orphek lighting?
We have a few fixtures yes. We have some Amazonas, OR3 bars, and Atlantik fixtures.
@tidalgardens Awsome just got my first pair of atlantik orphek.
Hopefully the corals and i like them 🙏
BTW we admire you lot's brother.
Blessings and thanks for the hard work
Than - Are you using Dalua Illumagic X4 lights on your Display Tanks? If so, how do you like their performance?
No I haven't tried those lights yet
Hey Than, speaking of "methods", what video editing software do you use? I trust what works for you must be surely be good enough for what I need to screw around for fun.
I edit on Final Cut Pro. Becka edits on Adobe Premier.
Wait, you don’t actually have a store front? I can’t make the drive from Michigan to come visit and purchase anything in person?
Visits available by appointment
Is it just me or does Thein look like he was a childhood tragedy away from being a super villan? 😂
I've likely been a super villain for a very long time.
I have a 5 gallon
First!
The snail shown around 12:05 is infested with parasitic piramid snails that possibly also infect clams and will end up killing your snails.
You mean, no BBQ??? 😢🥹😭
29:50 what is the name on this beaut??
That is a Fox Flame Acropora
