2. Can only catch the first Green Pokémon I find per Route (includes Pokémon to evolve INTO Green Pokémon, but not non-Green Pokémon that evolved FROM Green Pokémon); Species Clause

43:52 SV seems like the perfect games for a "Under 400 Base Stats Total" Run". All the underwhelming boss fights become significantly harder and would require a lot more theorycrafting.
true, but then the handful of tricky main game fights like the false dragon titan, arven, final nemona, and the professor would become enormous roadblocks. not even considering the game stops pulling punches in the dlc, especially dreaded den kieran, the 4 phase ogerpon battle, the bb elite 4, champion kieran, and terapagos being absurdly strong

Power creep actually means there are very few eligible pokemon in later gens for the 400 BST. Even Spidops has 404 BST and thats the lowest fully eveolved mon from gen 9 😂 so I'd need to adjust the limit i think

@EeveeHawkFan youve got a point BUT in my defense there is not a separate bug and spider type so in the pokemon universe Muffet WOULD be a bug specialist since spider pokemon are bugs. Though double in my defense bugs as a word often (incorrectly) refers to not just insects but most lil creepy crawlies, hence the fun meme of "shrimps is bugs" which is not true but i love it anyways

I thought Grass Cat Pokémon was a good classification. There is such a thing as cat grass, and Sprigatito is a cat with grass magic. On it’s own it doesn’t sound clever, but then you start thinking about how cats go nuts for cat grass and the myth is that they get high off of it, and Sprigatito looks like weed

I really don’t think you need to worry about Katy’s pastries. You can see her wearing gloves all the time; her hands are clean. Not to mention, why would Bug-types be any less sanitary than any other type? I’d rather let a Tarountula touch my food than, say, a Wooper. (No hate to Wooper; I love Wooper, but given how muddy they always are, I wouldn’t want one to touch my food.)
Also keeping bugs is a fairly common hobby IRL and I don't think a baker who has a pet mantis or tarantula would be bizarre or unnerving
@@hollowinside9511 I would certainly be unnerved. Mantids creep me out and I'm terrified of spiders. I'd be fine with some other bugs, like ladybugs or butterflies, or even crickets and cicadas.

@hollowinside9511 Phobias aren’t rational. You’re completely right about mantids, but you can’t just tell someone to logic away a phobia. Overcoming phobias is a difficult process that can take a really long time. Even logically knowing that mantids aren’t dangerous, they’re going to struggle to control the fear response.
@tsifirakiehl4250 theres a difference between a phobia and using said phobia as an excuse to insult and justify unnecessary hatred towards a literal animal that categorically couldn't have done anything to deserve said hate. It's an uncomfortably common pattern with various "scary" animals that often leads to said animals being killed based simply on appearance or making humans uncomfortable, which has genuinely devastating consequences depending on the animal targeted. (Ocean ecosystems often struggle to recover after the mass murder of great white sharks - a very ecologically important predator - bc of Jaws)

The "PBS Kids sandworm from Dune" bit absolutely threw me for a loop, especially after all the popcorn bucket jokes
Yanno, I've always liked that Nemona is actually an already accomplished trainer to a certain degree and she's continuing to train new pokemon and improve, and that she's having battles against newer trainers with her newer team to help both grow. It kind of defies that old joke about having a level 100 Gyarados and getting challenged by a route 1 bug trainer you snuck past when you were there for the story.
Yeah, I love what they did with Nemona. She’s effectively completed the game and gotten bored with always winning, so she’s using underleveled teams to train the player into a real challenge for her. That’s a really fun twist on the classic rival character.
The hard thing about Scarlett and Violet is you can absolutely see the potential. A few really remedial fixes, not even fixing bugs just fixing design, would DRASTICALLY improve them both for normal play and challenge runs.
I love the alternative FlygonHGs and the ad segways so much that I never skip the ad segment- not to mention seeing PoppyHG always brightens my day ❤
Would love to see a redemption nuzlocke (or any game) using only pokemom that have died before the Elite Four in a previous run!
I propose a Farmlocke. You can only use farm animals (pigs, sheep, chickens, horses, cows, etc.) and also you have to do a verse of Old McDonald for every encounter and make up a sound for each one.
The FlygonHG cinematic universe continues to expand.
Anyways, the thing about Scarlet and Violet is that if you don't already like them, it'll be hard to go through them over and over again. I think you should treat these games like you do with Gen 7--only play them every once in a while. I feel like if any Pokemon game is a candidate for burnout, it's these ones, so don't force yourself to try to play them.

I'm just appreciative to FlygonHG as most other challenge runners I've seen stop at the disappointing champion, despite my opinion that the real champion of the region is Nemona (has the title, victory road ends with her, actual decent team). Not only did you do that, but the other two roads as well. Can always count on quality content!
Would love to see you tackle the Indigo Disk DLC. The double battles were super challenging, ik you've expressed that Scarlet/Violet aren't your FAVORITES, but i think that with the held items and relatively competitively designed teams, the DLC would provide a good bit of fun for you

Interesting point in the end. I believe the possibilities are what makes S/V so easy. Tons of pokemon, variaty of type combination, broken moves like Flower trick, 150 TM's and easy way to obtain them. Ban TM's and the game gets more challenging.
Interesting thing about Katy being a Bug trainer and a baker...there are species of ants, such as Red Harvester Ants, that bake bread!

I will say though, Sada definitely isn't the worst mom. Second worse, absolutely. But Lusamine is definitely worse, imo.
We just haven't had a whole lot of bad moms in this series which is a shame when there's so many terrible fathers. Though I wouldn't count the robot because she's not Arven's mother. Maybe if she builds a little robo-Arven as a companion wherever she ended up, or if she's able to return and they agree to see each other in a parent and child relationship, but as it stands the robot has no children.

Idea to make the Scar/Vi challenges more interesting: regardless of how many encounters there are, you can have only 6 Pokémon. Nothing allowed in the box. Can only get new members (after the initial 6) if something dies.

I wish you didn't hate these games. I definitely hate the graphical errors, but these were some of the most fun games in the series, in my opinion. The "natural weather" being set at the start of battle makes sense, though it shouldn't fade visually. It's one of the weird things that happens when time runs the same in and out of battle, which should definitely not be the case.
Good video, though, as always. Your ad transitions are the best, Poppy's a cutie, and somehow your videos draw me in the whole time, even though I know the story. Lol
I can see how they would get tedious to play over and over again but most people don't play in that way. I love SV!

somthing ive done in my sv nuzlockes is have seperate teams for each storyline. pokemon get drafted into a certain team depending on which storyline the area is closest to (pokemon outside of a gym town go to the gym team, etc) it cuts down the amount of options and does require some grinding but its been fun.

I always thought it would be interesting to do a run where you cannot remove pokemon from your party, meaning you have to be very strategic about when you catch pokemon cuz after you have 6, the only way to change your team would be to let one of your mons die

in the pokemon black pokédex it says that leavanny makes the clothes for baby swaddle so it makes sense that it’s classified as yellow because the leaves are not part of the pokemon but a product of leavanny swaddling sewaddle with leaves it sews together ,because it’s a nurturing type pokemon that acts as a nanny and uses leaves
