What a field , it’s nice to hear you commenting on how nice the land owner is , it’s refreshing ! Awesome finds Kurt & Muck , I’m looking forward to you guys returning to that field . So much of our history . Stay safe you guys and thanks Kurt !
I've been interested in detecting for a few years, but haven't started yet. I'm really glad there are channels like this that hold my interest to the point where I binge watch a bit. Fingers crossed to get myself the right type of detector for the environment I plan to sweep, and the type of coin/relics I expect to find in my neighborhood. Hopefully by the summer of 21. Thanks again for the great channel.
Kurt, I've been subscribed for quite a while now but I rarely comment. Thank you for the hard work that you put into making sure we get a video each Wednesday! I really enjoy your channel. You and the rest of the guys are great! This is by far my favorite metal detecting channel! I enjoy Stealth Diggers and GMMD, but y'all are my favorite!!
Nice hunt and finds for a random field. Thats awesome. The Indian Burial Ground will always be there to hit a different day. Thanks for sharing, good luck, happy hunting and take care.
Just Subscribed. Thank you for sharing your knowledge , teaching , and bringing the classroom outdoors . I just started a channel and appreciate so much more the time you take to edit your videos. Thank you!
The permissions you guys get are amazing! My GF is from Reicherstown, MD. I got her a detector and turned her on to y'all. Maybe one day we will cross paths. We would love to meet you guys. Great finds, everyone!
Nice to see you all out. Can not wait until you return to that site with the rest of the guys and hit it hard. Sure there will be silver. Keep them coming and get some sleep.
Another great video- always enjoy your digs- congratulations on all the great finds- All the best from Canada- Paul the Nickel Guy - Love the bank token !
Kurt, we are a metal detecting channel in Korea and we are just now moving back to Northern VA. Weve been watching your channel every week for as long as I can remember and love watching you guys. We've got 136,000 subs who are very interested in what we find in the US. My son and I would love to come up and detect with you one time if that's possible. :)
You have 136K and 1, I just subscribed. It has been a number of years (over 20) since I last visited South Korea - your channel looks interesting and I am curious to see what I have missed since I last visited.
@@wagr9824 a lot has changed since then. Nearly all the rice paddies around and in between bases are filled with new cities and buildings. I was there starting in 2006 and it is a completely different world in some spots. The trails and mountains are still the same though:
I Found the same Canadian Bank of Montreal Bank Token just a couple weeks ago. 1837. Funny, I pull Old American coins off of our Canadian Farms and your pulling an Old Canadian coin off of a farm field. If those coins could tell us the story of how they got where they are!! AWESOME FIND!!!
Great to stumble across your metal detecting videos. I've learned that the copper taco I found several years ago is likely an old, worn copper. Do you find Machin's Mill's contemporary counterfeits or do you simply assume the "British" coppers are all made in Britain? I believe I found a Machin's Mills copper in Maryland. Anyway, I have really enjoyed watching accomplished MD'ers dig the good stuff. There's lots of cools stuff yet to be found.
Thank you ! Thank you !! Thank you!!!! I found one of those Canadian coppers like 2-3 years ago up in NJ and hadn't been able to id it! What a weight off da brain.
Absolutely love u guys would have liked to see brad bob and skinny bill lol you guys remind me of the close friends I had back in high school keep saving history and thanks for all the things u teach and show all holes matter
I think it would be cool if you had a camera on a tripod taking a time lapse of you walking in the fields. Use it for b-roll between digs. Love all your vids.
Sweet finds...I just recently found three flat buttons..all shanked..one was a small cuff button with fancy.. I can't believe i could get so excited over buttons... awesome video.
Way to go travis. If you go back an slow mo your video you'll see the hit an then drop out the bottom of the deer. What an amazing hit. Can't say I've ever seen one hit that way in that angle, an see the out come. An it was a good size doe to. Travis will be eating good this winter. Like I said way to go. Just a little friendly reminder my freezer isn't full yet. LoL. Great video guys. An way to hang in there an track down the kill. As always safe an happy hunting guys. 😁👍👍
Man, when that guy turbo tills, the stuff ought to be jumping out the ground into your pouch. I bet there is some small silver somewhere in there. Can't wait for the sequel, thanks!
Everytime you flip a brittish coin on the horizontal axis like an American coin and then puzzle over an upside down brittania, it cracks a smile from me haha. Its the little things.
Fur trading post is a good a guess as any. Makes sense with the creek right there. Looked big enough to navigate by canoe. It will be interesting to see what the future finds will be out of this spot.
Waww what an awesome permission, good luck on your next hunts there possible gold in that field ive been watching all your latest vids on my smart tv so I've not commented as not logged in there, but thoroughly enjoyed all you latest episodes guys
I have played with a detect once. ! Old I love hunting rocks. I can't wait to get a detect. I would love a personal look at the finds display, bucket list , most wanted , best tricks , favorite machine and why. Maybe you have vids , I didn't find em ?
Very awesome site! That was a wide creek, do you guys ever check out the water areas around these sites? If a possible fur trade post would that be a good place to check?
Love watching y`all....How do you set up your Pro-Pointers? Have an AT Gold and a cheap pinpointer, and just got the AT Max and a Pro Pointer...Now...need input....lol
I've been detecting for 39 years and one thing I hate is corroded wiped coppers that are unidentifiable or trashed. Everyone gets so excited about them. I have a coffee can full of them. I call it my can of disappointment! LOL! Farm fields are the WORST for finding coppers. I have dug BEAUTIFUL large cents and colonial coinage that are just green with almost no corrosion when found in good neutral soil. Indians too. But no matter what you just can't beat the rush of shiny silver coming out of the ground. Dig on! : )
Your finds are puzzling for sure- you have Colonial finds then a gap and some 1830s finds? However no trade weights yet? How close are you to a water crossing or spring? As you mentioned in the intro could have been a short term militia Rev War or French and Indian war camp, then a place sometimes used later on in 1830s as a short term camp by civ travelers. As they say if its a good place to camp its a good place and would often be used over time by Indians, Colonials, then travelers and CW troops.
These guys are natural, grounded! informed & true friends.
Hey Kurt ,
I’m a fellow detectorist from Ontario Canada
and being a fellow history nerd
I wanted to say great find on the 1837 Canadian bank token
In fact it’s actually an 1837 half penny or penny bank token of lower Canada
Minted in Montreal Quebec
A token from before Canada was a country
Which wasn’t until 1867
I have found both types of tokens
One is the same as yours and the others are from 1854 half penny bank token of upper Canada
Just thought you’d like to know a little history from the north
Happy Dirt fishing
From a fellow beeper

Always enjoy your videos. Easy to listen to. Lots of explanations and also like when you show what the coin looked like when it was first minted. ❤️

With all the lead, I wonder if somebody set up a musket ball shop, melted lead into balls to trade for some fur. Nice finds.

3 more episodes to 300! Keep up the hard work! And thanks for bringing us a long
Additionally, Muckio needs to reprogram his detector to play a Mario cha-Ching noise when he finds a coin.
I'd like to see all the Hoover Boys together again for their 300th episode. Would be righteous!
