    Dynasty in the making. 20 plus years of greatness! David Robinson Tim Duncun, Manu Ginobli, Tony Parker. Etc.

      I would not put 2008 there. They really overachieved in 2008 and the Hornets should have taken them out in the second round. And no way that they would have beaten the motivated Celtics in the Finals either way
      2017 is the biggest what-if of them all
      And 2004-2006-2013, each series decided by a rough heartbreaking Spurs loss

    • @oronasundial
      @oronasundial 28 дней назад

      @hmhm856 We'll I definitely don't agree with you on that. Maybe had pop actually began playing his center's from the years of 2006-'12 we could've easily had eight titles no doubt. Sure maybe Celtic's would've been too much in '08 but they're core was already 12 plus year vets who we're aging, by 2010. no way they could've beaten us more than once no one did.
      Except the Kobe Shaq Lakers which the entire league couldn't beat at one point until the Spurs did in '03 than Detroit in '04 than we beat Detroit. A team I don't think most team's today couldn't had beaten that includes the warriors. However '04 always bothered me the most even worse than '13 because had pop not sat out Duncan we definitely beat the heat back to back. '04 always felt we we're just cheated by a larger market by a shot that shouldn't had ever counted.

    • @oronasundial

      @@hmhm856 just think about this, had Spurs won that game in '04 vs the Lakers it's easily the best game win ever. Like up there with Elliot's memorial day miracle if not better considering the fierce rivalry. So by default....loosing it in that way easily puts it over the one in '13 considering that was more of the coaches mistake not ours. But I'm still very happy how things turned out in '14 so I still love our history and cherish the Robinson year's and our big three dynasty which we all got naturally straight from the draft. No cheating no super team building. But yes, to me the biggest what if and is the reason why I haven't seen the NBA or Spurs games since 2018. Is the way we lost kawi. And what could've happened had that warriors team didn't intentionally injure him game one in 2017 Western conference finals, where we're up by 25 before that happens. It would be great if we do get kawi back our a player like him, than maybe I'd start watching again.

    • @hmhm856
      @hmhm856 День назад

      @ 2013 Finals as well wasnt just Duncan being on the bench in late game 6, with the Spurs unable to get defensive rebounds in the final minute of the 4th quarter, but it was also both Manu and Kawaii missing clutch free throws in game 6 in the final minute of the 4th quarter that would have made the Ray Allen moment non-existent.
      And with 2004 second round Lakers matchup, even though Fisher hit a lucky unreal shot, so did Duncan before Fisher. So if eliminate both lucky shots, the Lakers win game 5 either way
      Also, keep in mind, that starting in the 2012 season (the strike shortened season) until the end of the 2017 playoffs, the Spurs were a popular team again, like they were in the David Robinson solo era. They were no longer seen as the "boring" team like they were seen from 2003-2011. So I disagree with your point of the league wanting to see the Heatles win a title instead of the small-market-Spurs.
      But yeah, the Spurs havent been the same since the end of the 2017 playoffs. Since then, they have been a first round exit or missed the playoffs. Unreal that they havent won at least 50 games since the end of the 2016-2017 season. It would be awesome if they win one more title, at least in this 2020 decade

      Duncan was the only spur on the 99 03 and 05 title teams..think about that..in a span of 7 seasons and 6 years the entire roster around him changed for his 2nd and 3rd titles and finals mvps....shows how much fans know..they dont realize while duncan was the key they built a great team around him even after he won..sure they lost the 2000 season due to timmy injury but they never stopped adding guys and drafting and developing...other title teams could learn from them ..thats how you stay relevant for 20 straight years...rose kerr( who barely played) robinson and Duncan were the only spurs on both the 99 and 03 title teams...

      @Lenny Felix IMO l think the Spurs would have beat the Bulls in 7. YES the Spurs had No One who could/would be able to defend MJ. But then again one else did either. With that being said. The Bulls had No One who could've stopped the twin towers. Robinson was still VERY effective and a Young Beast Timmy D. All the Bulls bigs would have been in foul trouble thru the entire series. And they had players who could have very well contained Pippen. So that would have left MJ to carry the load. And the last time l checked one Man can't be 5. Especially when u have 2 future HOF players on the opposite team. Think about it. All the Bulls championship teams. Never had too go up against dominant Big Man. And this was a time in the NBA when Big Men were key

    I remember all those years of heartbreak in the playoffs, especially after killing it during the regular season. That's why the wins that followed were so sweet. You can truly appreciate all those wins over Duncan's career because of those losses prior to his arrival.. What a run of success, unmatched by any franchise in North American professional sports. When Duncan retired, the Spurs had a winning record against every single franchise in the NBA. That's why he's the best power forward of all time. That's why he's considered a top 5 all time greatest in the history of basketball. He retired with the second highest win percentage in NBA history. The 3rd highest win %i n history goes to Tony Parker and the number 1 player with the highest win percentage in league history is Manu Ginobili.

      Ewing for sure....starks was tough but i think his shooting in game 7 vs the rockets in the '94 finals was historically bad....if he mad any shots knicks win. Like the rockets missing a million 3s at home gane 7 vs the warriors a few years ago

    • @whats_holden_up
      @whats_holden_up 2 года назад

      Ewing was past his prime at this point wouldn't of made a difference. If prime Ewing had this team from 92-95 he'd maybe win some rings and couldve probably beaten the Bulls and Rockets, prime Ewing in this series is different but not 99 Ewing.
