Man there were so many good songs he stopped playing. If you’ve listen to fecal matter sound of dentage is one he should’ve of kept playing. I wish he played paper cuts live too. He stopped playing a lot of his older songs. Only really played spank thru which is an og song, about a girl and school.
I had both the US and UK imports of the Nevermind singles and Hormoaning EP...as well as most singles/7" from before and after. This began my 90's career of being a music completist. I had no job, was not well to do, but somehow made it happen. I gave it all to my buddy who collects for safe keeping. But I still remember sliding my fingernail accross the cellophane to open them up. Sitting in my bedroom making tapes from all the b-sides and outtakes/cover songs. We were all very fortunate to grow up back then.
First tape I played in my car the day I got my license in 97 was Smells like Teen Spirit, this song was the B-side. Back when you bought a single on cassette or vinyl or still-new CDs. If you had told me then that in the future, I could watch any band in the world play any show ever recorded for free, wouldn't have believed you. (Never thought I'd be an old man telling younguns about nirvana singles on tape. Back then, it was nothing weird...)
I’m only 16 and it’s strange to imagine that listening to music on youtube might one day seem antiquated or outdated too. Never really thought about that until i read your comment just now, but you’ve got me thinking…
@@ihaverabies17 Yeah it's a very different world now. Back then you couldn't even use a band's image on a poster without paying them. (You can see footage of Axl Rose freaking out when a fan takes a picture of him from the crowd, jumps off stage to get the camera off him). Those bands would have been stunned to learn one day their tunes would be free to hear for anyone with internet. We'd sometimes sit by the radio trying to catch our fav bands getting played so we could tape it off the radio & onto a casette.

My favorite nirvana song such great lyrics. Kurt is by far the greatest lyricist ever. I’m honestly so jealous I feel honored to have discovered and listen to his music.
I like how he is using that Epiphone but put a fender neck on it lol he was always modding his guitars. Love that guy! This song was always my favorite next to Sappy. So good
I believe you're right, he was playing a Twin Reverb at this point. if I remember correctly, he borrowed Jack Endinos to record Bleach and loved the sound.
Oh wow i just noticed Chad Channing on drums. Kurt looks pretty old right here for being in his early twenties. Rip kurdt. If it weren’t for nirvana I wouldn’t know half of the bands i listen to

Really should of played it more, it's a solid song from the Bleach era.

@@threed7 umm blew... that closer
Bleach was huge. Paper Cuts, Floyd The Barber, School, etc. I bought it on vinyl, and cherish the album to this day.
Yep. Which I don't get. This one of their best tunes.
I was just researching this song and had no idea it was that old. Makes sense, to me it sounded more Bleach than Nevermind.
Holy shit… how I wish I could’ve seen Nirvana live.
Same, dude. Same......
you bet! 🥲
sodoi
I first heard this when I bought the smells like teen spirit cassette single. This was the b side. Loved it ever since!!
With marcus rios. I first heard this on the Teen Spirit single.
My too dude! I was 9! First music stuff I bought!

Same, don't know what happened to it? I probably traded it for something else of Nirvanas.
Same.
He seems to have enjoyed doing this show :) i like to see him happy and enjoying himself

This is one of the rare song of Nirvana that I've keep on headbanging everytime it played...
Even in his youth he was nothing
Kept his body clean going nowhere
Daddy was ashamed he was nothing
Smears the family name he was something

His own Masterpiece, amazing whst he did REALLY, all from deepest point of his Heart and Soul RESPEKT

What a great song. He wrote so many great melody’s even the early heavy/punk stuff
Its a pop cliche tense in this song
my god this performance is sooooooo gooooood
re: Sifting - I don't believe Kurt disliked the song itself, he wasn't happy with how they played it at that time...
Nirvana still had to convince the audience, so great.
Im digging the strat neck on the Epiphone.
looks like a fender lead or fender duo sonic
pretty sure its just another weird eastwood gutiar.
@@noobymoosehead it is a hagstrom, he also used the et 270 on this tour though
It’s the epiphone ET-270
i think it’s rather poetic that he’s playing a right handed guitar strung upside down like hendrix would have
This is Nirvana to the fullest. Chords and lyrics represents the Bleach Grunge Style.
This is (in my opinion) one of Nirvana’s best songs. It’s such a shame they didn’t really do anything with it after the SLTS single
This is one of my top 3 favorite nirvana shows. Great video as always Alt Copperpot, thanks.
Best edits ever 🙌🏼
This was proabaly the best nirvana show that i can see on youtube. in its full length of course.
