Can't stop watching Layne walk out. Camera angles are really good and it really captures the mood of the band. You can tell there is tension but the show must go on. Love this footage!
@@mgeeinc.4270 I think Jerry has a vibe saying "I hope this guy can pull it off". Supposedly Layne showed up for their Unplugged like 20 minutes before it began. @@L0ve4music4lifeI noticed that during the beginning of the first verse 😅 Regardless I am very grateful that I can watch this, granted it is hard seeing Layne in that state 😢
God Am will always be one of my favorite tracks from AIC. It’s dark as hell. Really captures the essence of the band - four guys on a hell ship to the darkest regions of human existence. I’m so grateful they expressed what they did, it took a toll, but damn they did it well. RIP Layne Staley and Mike Starr. We love you endlessly

@Ant Man This is the same guy I've seen commenting on other videos that Layne had a twin and they looked slightly different and switched places all the time from show to show.
How f***ing beautiful and amazing sounds God Am live. Sh*t, it's inevitable to feel sadness to look at Layne in that state, can't imagine the hell he was walking through and still, he looked gorgeous and his voice was so immaculate.

November 2023 and this is one of the best views or angles on Layne Staley I've ever seen. To see Layne is that condition is heartbreaking. This might be his 2nd to last show ever.
I saw Layne in a three piece suit at the start of their set on Lollapolooza in 93 and it was like 95 degrees that day! Needless to say he took the jacket tie vest and shirt off after playing Would the first song to start the show! Very charismatic singer and great stage presence! His voice very unique and an unbelievable range! RIP Layne!
I saw them in Jersey for Lollapalooza 93. They had a crazy net in front of them he was trying to climb on occasion. It was pretty intense set. They dropped the net during one song about halfway thru. Lollapalooza's were great, I miss them! (also miss being young:)
Saw them in 93 at Lollapalooza in nola. He was so charismatic, leaping off of the stage onto a large piece of plywood held up by fans. Completely different performance only three years later.
From a bygone era were stadiums were named after the teams that played there, instead of the bank or corporation who paid for naming rights. Thanks for sharing this rare glimpse into one of Layne's final performances.
I was lucky enough to see a Tiger game there in 1988 when I was a young teenager. Detroit lost to Baltimore.....I almost got a line drive in the face! LOL it was a pretty cool experience! subsequently, I've never seen a game at Comerica Park. I think the Eagles were the first ones to start playing concerts at Tiger Stadium a couple of years prior to this in 1994. They may have had rock concerts there in the 1960's and 1970's, I don't know. I know that before the Silverdome was built in the mid 1970's, the Detroit Lions played their football games at Tiger Stadium. When they tore the Stadium down, it really sad to see. I would have love to have gone to this show, not because I'm a KISS fan (I'm not really a big fan of theirs) but for the opening act of AIC! I know that KISS used The Smashing Pumpkins on this same tour to open their shows at Dodger Stadium in LA. I don't know if AIC were meant to be their opener for the whole tour or not or if Layne's condition caused them to drop out and have the Pumpkins added as a substitute. Great, great footage here! thanks!
I've listened to this bootleg for eons and am currently Losing My Shit over this!! Thank you for putting in the effort to restore this footage of God Am into a complete version, huge bummer the cameraman cut the film there because I've always wanted to see the moment the band was entirely cut off at the end. Always wondered why they were cut off like that haha. Anyway, thank you so much for trading something of yours for this & uploading it for everyone to see!! You're the absolute best
I know some won’t agree but AIC is the best rock band EVER! Period! There isn’t another voice like Layne. I bet I’ve watched the AIC unplugged when Layne had pink hair probably 200 times

This legend was going through hell but still pulled off the best and most memorable performances. I suffer the same disease Layne endured and have days I can barely move let alone face the public. He became reclusive for the last six years of his life but he left us with some phenomenal music while he could still find the energy to do what he did best. Layne's wings are no longer denied. He gained them the second he entered that big sleep💜.
R.I.P. beautiful one. Even on his worst days he could out sing most , and absolutely no one could even come close to sounding like him. He was a true gift to us all for the short time we were graced by him being alive .

If this isn't the greatest, most wonderful gift I have gotten this whole year, than nothing is!
And although my heart breaks seeing Layne like this, and although I can't go through the whole video without tears welling up in my eyes, this being one of his last performances with the band makes this footage precious beyond words.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for sharing this gem of all gems with us.
he's alive...the corporate media say he died in 2002 but really he ran away from the system that controlled him. He has protection from the military. Several artists are alive.

I feel the same. Like its an early Christmas gift. I look forward to seeing much more footage that exists out there of AIC.
Ali ovo je tako depresivno. On se raspada i uopšte ne uživa u ovome.
@@Denniz2743 pay to see!
Can't stop watching Layne walk out. Camera angles are really good and it really captures the mood of the band. You can tell there is tension but the show must go on. Love this footage!
whats the context on the tension? was layne just sick or was there other things happening at this time.
@@mgeeinc.4270 Layne’s drug addiction was messing a lot up at the time
@@mgeeinc.4270 I think Jerry has a vibe saying "I hope this guy can pull it off". Supposedly Layne showed up for their Unplugged like 20 minutes before it began. Sure enough he nailed it, but was a loose cannon doing things this way. Never know what to expect, a show could've fallen off a cliff sooner or later.
@@davidbarnitz6569 not to mention,Jerry had food poisoning from eating gas station hot dogs before "unplugged".
@@captrockh2055 oh wow i did not know that, they certainly did pull it off tho.
His voice really kicks back in during God Am. What a great find!! 🖤
No. No it doesn’t.
@@Gcssdvnkloiutesc it does at times.
Actually was hard to watch. He completely botched all the lyrics😢
@@L0ve4music4lifeI noticed that during the beginning of the first verse 😅 Regardless I am very grateful that I can watch this, granted it is hard seeing Layne in that state 😢
God man what an Xmas present
There will never be a voice like this again
Layne will be forever missed
an early christmas present !! thank you!
I wonder why people keep footage like this for decades and never release it.
Mikes bass tone is sick before it cuts
God Am will always be one of my favorite tracks from AIC. It’s dark as hell. Really captures the essence of the band - four guys on a hell ship to the darkest regions of human existence. I’m so grateful they expressed what they did, it took a toll, but damn they did it well. RIP Layne Staley and Mike Starr. We love you endlessly
HOW DID THEY DO IT WELL...TWO DIED.
@@christopherone1 I think you missed the entire point of the comment
Agree. Goosebumps all over from that haunting song…Miss Layne so much.
It just really is to bad that heroin grabs so many talented musicians, I don't get what it is about that drug but damm so much amazing music was made by musicians under the influence of heroin, it just baffles me
God Am really hit me when Covid came ... All of this death you're sending... World dies I still pay taxes...
WHERE has this footage been sitting for all this time?!?!?!?! THANK YOU!
On his worst day he was still gorgeous and more talented than most ❤️
True 👌
Get your head right.
At lost last this footage has been released!!!! This is huge!!!!!!
Wow... the performance of God Am is beautiful. One of Layne's last, live, and greatest performances.
Congrats to those who got to see it live. What a gift.

The hair looks so cool.
I’m a Linkin Park fan (AIC isn’t my era) and I can hear how Layne influenced Chester’s earlier sound when he was with Grey Daze. (Although I also heard some Seb Bach in Chester’s voice). Being a LP fan, I couldn’t help but also enjoy listening to AIC. May Layne and Chester r.i.p. This footage is a gem.
Absolutely! Probably also why Chester went on to perform "Man In The Box" on stage with Alice In Chains in 2006. two completely fantastic vocalists. RIP both of them.
The thing is is AIC is amazing and linkin park sucks..............

How f***ing beautiful and amazing sounds God Am live. Sh*t, it's inevitable to feel sadness to look at Layne in that state, can't imagine the hell he was walking through and still, he looked gorgeous and his voice was so immaculate.
Holy shit I never thought this footage would come to light also thank you very much this is very interesting to see pro footage of some of their final concerts
I started crying, immediately. This guy and the entire band had such a monstrous impact on so many of us..
My daughter's middle name is Layne.
Rest easy, Layne. 🤘
It’s honestly really sad and shocking tbh to know that Layne didn’t pass until 6 years after this.
I wonder how he managed to survive that long :( Sitll remember the day I got that sad news like it was today. F#$%g drugs
@@nmsgoncalves Unfortunately for me I was only 5 years old when he passed…wish I could have seen him alive and well
@Hollie E I never had the chance to see him live since he never came to Portugal. I was 22 when he passed. Been listening to AIC since 1992 ( I was 12)
@@nmsgoncalves that’s so heartbreaking :( if only he knew how much his passing would’ve affected so many people all over the globe. addiction sucks for making every addict feel so alone even when they’re beloved
@brad pity true, but I believe it kept many of us away from them. It set an example (not his passing, but his self destruction). And I've talked to some people who actually found strength in their music to beat the addiction. Either way... it's sad to see him and others die due to drug related issues.
This is both great and sad, seeing Layne in this shape breaks my heart, but i thought i had already seen all the Layne's performances on the internet, this footage is pure gold, thank you so much for sharing with us man!

November 2023 and this is one of the best views or angles on Layne Staley I've ever seen. To see Layne is that condition is heartbreaking. This might be his 2nd to last show ever.
They played three shows after this.
@russellschwartz3912 Kansas City was the last show right?
@@iLuseMy1v1s sadly yes.
Thanks for posting this rare footage from one of their last shows with Layne!!
I've seen you in 5 vids. We get it stfu
Perfect gift for the year end. Thank you so much for sharing this gem with us.
This is excellent! God Am’s my favorite from AIC. Thanks for sharing

Cameraman Must of Known The Songs Back To Front. Definitely knew what he was doing
that & they did a soundcheck earlier that day!
My dad was here he always talks about how insane layne sounded. So glad I can finally watch this🖤
This actually feels like a dream
When he walks out, I felt dizzy. Like is this real!!!
LOL
it was a pretty cool experience! subsequently, I've never seen a game at Comerica Park.
This legend was going through hell but still pulled off the best and most memorable performances. I suffer the same disease Layne endured and have days I can barely move let alone face the public. He became reclusive for the last six years of his life but he left us with some phenomenal music while he could still find the energy to do what he did best.
