Wormwood actually doesn’t get hay fever during lush season! You don’t even need nettles this run
You'd think the Don't Starve guy would remember this.
Then again he forgot about Worm's plant affinity so...
Listen, brain isn't working right after a rough week - hence the fact that I had forgotten that Wormwood and plants were friends. That, and the last several attempts have just trained me to think nettles so there ya go!

Luckily you can have a bunch of poop with wormwood from the beetles , remember digging in the poop piles will also raise his sanity so make sure to use it to it's fullest
You shouldn't dig the poop pile because they spawn the beetles which make infinite poop
@@cupcake769 i believe the beetles make a new pile every now and then and after all the pile has 3 uses

@@velvetgloves8868 uhh not really , she poops pretty randomly so you can't really predict where it will be but yeah you can have piles near your this is possible , and theyr renewable but i would dig them up , or not entirely , but it's jusy my opinion ofc
(I just like coming and killing bettles everywhere and use theyr poop to put it on mt plant's skin lol)
Wormwood is great for hamlet for various reasons but you'll discover it in time
you know, with worm wood being with plants, I'd like a character that bonds with animals like how he bonds with plants. all creatures become non-aggressive neutral and don't run away from him, he'd lose sanity from killing animals, he can breed all animals as well as tame them and gets sanity from them BUT when an animal is in heat/pregnant/raising a child they will still aggro onto him.
i feel like that would be an idea for another character
also thats alot of stuff for only one character and overpowered
Honest piece of advice: Hit the bandit with a torch, change to your main weapon and get 2 or 3 hits in then swap back to your torch and rinse and repeat. Seriously, im killing so many bandits they had to shut down the jail in my hamlet.
i've never seen a porky guard arrest the player just for stealing FRICKING PLANTS AND FLOWERS !!!! BUT INSTEAD THEY KILL HIM !!!
Since Wormwood is a plant pollen doesn't bother him, so you don't need a fan, gas mask (until you enter the poison jungle) or nettles. You do need plenty of food for Lush season since his hunger will drain faster, but overall it's a lot easier.
Heads up beard, wormwood will still be attacked by flytraps if you have any type of meat on you, so play by bunnymen rules

Yay wormwood! I believe you can make an exclusive wormwood snaptooth trap for the bandits by luring several to a spot and feeding meat to make stationary. Happy hamleting!
7:25 the wiki says it ‘grows over time’ but that it is quicker during rainy season so do with that as you please
Health is not that much of a problem since the mud spa sells health items
You can also use the shears from normal don't starve to cut hedges as well if you want to save iron
at 1:30 i literally shouted You Are Freaking Wormwood, when you finally realized it 6 minutes later i was so satisfied.

Snaptooth is neutral towards Wormwood, Beard... don't fear them! They're "friends" ;D
Also, you made a gas mask... But Wormwood is immune to Hay Fever in Lush Season, and starts to bloom and run faster. I think you are habituated to Wilba and the others, It will take time to adjust to Wormy perks!
I really enjoy playing Wormwood! He's more fun in DST, when you can partner with the Librarian, but he has a very interesting and different playstyle. I'm excited you're playing him!

I do hope your bad experience with Wagstaff doesn’t discourages you from playing him again. The only thing that was done with Wagstaff’s abilities was infroggles and investigating, and he’s in my top 3.

Pillars don't need to be in the same room to reveal secrets as long as you find the cracks on the walls you can knock down a pillar in the ruins and then check all of them at once

The two nitre you see on the shelf are all you can get, they won't restock. I would also suggest buying an umbrella to control wetness, and maybe it protects against being set on fire from thunders, though I'm not sure on that. It's not very good to exchange all your money either, or carry it around, not only you're using a slot normally but you'll need potentially 3 if you buy something cheaper than 10 oincs, one for the item and two for the money. Best to plan shopping trips according to what you want to buy imo.
Pretty good start, do you get the feeling that after something tragic happens in your playthrough the next world gen is gentle too?
We ain't out here trying to play the most optimized playthrough, we're just playing for entertainment.
@@TheBeard777 That's fine too, it's still entertaining, I just feel what I mentioned plays no part in making the playthrough more or less fun. It's basically nitpicking a bit, except I'm not criticizing just for the sake of it, I know you've been really busy lately so maybe bringing it to your attention would be a good thing.

beard shears are a waste of iron instead use razors because they have infinite uses
Razors give one while shears give two, still better for my purposes.

Im pretty sure that if you mine a pillar it knocks down every hidden room in the ruins you've discovered yet, so they dont need to be in the same room you just need to have seen it. Not sure on this one though but worth trying
