P.T. Barnum and Ray Scott arguing in the afterlife over which one conned more money out of more people than the other …. And laughing their asses off for eternity ..
I stopped bass fishing years ago, got the freshwater striper and saltwater fishing bug. I have a 24' bay boat with Yamaha 300 and power poles, because I just wanted one, not because I needed it. But I have been taking it several miles offshore on good weather days, where I couldn't in previous boat. But unlike many dudes, I didn't buy an expensive boat "hoping" I could pay for it and strapping myself down just to get it. That's the part I don't understand with dudes that get a new truck and $100k bass boat but living paycheck to paycheck. Prior to getting my first bay boat in 2019, I fished from a 2180 DLX Carolina Skiff with Suzuki 115 for 13+ years. Purchased it new for $13,200 and ran the piss out of that boat for years. I catch no more fish from the 24' bay boat than I did the skiff, but the bay boat has a lot more pros than cons saltwater fishing.
Thanks for the comment.I agree there are definitely perks to a bigger boat it rides better, more stable, better layout for storage etc i plan to upgrade at some point when the time is right.
@@BredForBass - My first boat was a old used Stratos with Merc 125 2-stroke. I fished out of that boat for years until I purchased the skiff that the bass fishermen with the shiny new boats laughed at. But they didn't laugh so much when I put that skiff in skinny water and was dragging hogs in the boat, places they couldn't or wouldn't take those new boats. I would troll that skiff back in 1' of water through pads and hydrilla to get to the monsters while the guys in the shiny new boats sat out in the deeper water and watched. To your point, it don't take a $100k boat and $500 reels to put fish in the boat. 25 years ago when I was raising kids and trying to scratch up money to have a little fun, I was just glad to be on the water. I had a worn out 18' bass boat, 1 bait caster and 1 spinning set-up with a small bag of tackle. I enjoyed that just as much as I do now with a nice boat and garage full of gear.
Good video brother! I am looking to start tournament fishing since I just recently got my first official bass boat. (Same boat as you) 😂 I appreciate the knowledge transfer. Also nice Finn fishing hat. Shout out Ty Berger. He’s another one that shares a great deal of knowledge. Keep up the good work
Appreciate it bro It’s a great boat enjoy it! And yes Tyler shares great information he has been a good dude to me he has helped me with A lot of things especially RUclips.
My boat was 14 grand it's a 04 nitro nx883 and with talons and Lawrence and Garmin electronics. All in its under 20 grand so it's obtainable bud. I love my nitro.
I won a AOY with no electrics at all in my club. I eventually got an ultrex, side imagining and livescope. It took time but I worked for it. You don't need it. It's a want thing. I think the ultrex will help when I fish for the state champion at the end of the month on Erie. I eventually want to get rid of my laser and get a 9.9 rig for the small lake tournament's we have around here. Hover is bad ass.
Yea I’ve strongly considered putting a 9.9 electric outboard on my boat that will let you fish the 9.9 lakes and electric motor only lakes. There some sneak hole electric motor only lakes
Hi, I bought the bass tracker classic a couple months ago and was wondering if you've had any trouble with your live well not wanting to fill? I can hear the pump going and have even taken the nozzle in the live well all the way off.
I have not had that issue but I know others have.Check the back bilge area and see if you have water in there after trying to fill. The hose may have popped off some or has a leak in it that could be your issue. Also try putting the boat into reverse when you start to fill that will help the pump take the water into the livewell

Some really good stuff you shared! Thank so much!
No problem thanks for watching!
The guys with that amount of electronics are just compensating for lack of time fishing and knowledge.
Good insight, BFB. Thank you for sharing with us. 🐺🎣

It's the rod storage alone for me.
That definitely is a big deal! I don’t have a rod locker on my boat and wish I did
