From all the bad reviews I've read and seen about Iberojet, this report doesn't seem all that bad. The plane is pleasant and spacious enough though the food portions are rather skimpy. I'd have no problems taking them on a long-haul flight. Thanks for the report.
Agreed. In my experience, at the end of the day you just don't need so many bells and whistles. The A350 is arguably the best wide body airliner out there as of today, that should be enough for a smooth ride. As for the food, I'll take a tasty pasta dish, no matter how simple or cheap, and a good ham and cheese sandwich any day before some more elaborate plates you get out there that, in the end, just aren't up to their pretensions. A good IFE is a nice thing to have in a 10 hour flight though.

10hrs flight on board Iberojet in an all economy seating configuration is in my opinion just brutal. Passengers should be giving a choice of premium economy at least. I can't imagine myself as a passenger sitting down onboard in that plane for 10hrs with that tight little leg room, i will be so stressed out. For being able to do that, you are the man Felix. But they have a 787 which seems a bit nicer and more spacious. Still... My mom took this flight yesterday and I was just checking how worse the airbus is compared.

Absolutely fantastic trip report Felix! That is one of the best looking complementary main courses on a long haul economy flight I’ve seen post Covid, much less on a budget carrier! 😸
No. Cellular services and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth devices on a mobile device have to be in flight mode, bigger devices like laptop/tablets have to be stowed securely. I always put my wired headfones in my ears, as people annoy me on aircrafts, and I try to ignore them as much as possible. It is the best thing, like ever! And after take off, my iPad comes out with movies/series I like to watch. IFE doesn’t interest me at all. I hate flying as a passenger. I am glad I experienced my flying job in the good ole times. Nowadays to tacky Cancun? Naaa…never ever. Overpriced Mauritius or Seychelles? Please noooo! But I do have secret escapes I am not mentioning I love to go to. And they are all far away from people 😆

After having experienced a flight in a 3-4-3 configuration in a PACKED A350 I can second that. Yes it is so damn uncomfortable, now I am vaccinated against it. I can say that this all economy charter A350 does not look as bad. Not even close. Maybe not great but could be worse!
Actually my friend travelled from Cancun to madrid in this Iberojet .... He told it was the one of the most terrible journey across the atlantic.. The crew were not proactive in their service,Food was worse...Worst airline according to his view... But you are very lucky
I think this is an interesting route. However, wouldn't European passengers who book an economy flight for 10 hours prefer a destination like Thailand, Cambodia, etc.?
Thailand and Cambodia? Never ever. Concerning wheather conditions and hygienic aspects, I would prefer Mexico or Caribbean anytime, coming from Germany.
I understand that the leg room wasn't all that pleasant because I wish it would have more room for passengers to stretch out their legs if you know what I mean
Nah, I don't like traveling like this. I'd rather spend big money to be comfortable and pampered than to flight on a flying cattle car all squished up with a bunch of passengers. Not that I think I'm better than anyone cos I love everybody. Just like to be really comfortable when I have a 6 or 7+hr flight. I like to fly either premium economy or business class. When I'm flying long distances.
This kind of airline is not for me ... I want to be given the impression that I am getting value for money, not that they are "counting the number of peas" I am being served ... I am surprised you were given a full bottle of water with your snack which, incidentally, is not free, but complimentary.

When I was in Madrid Airport, as I left the ticket counter, the sign said my gate was a 22 minute walk!
