Currently watching this while in the train on my way to the airport for work, I work as a Service Agent (basically a flight attendant on the ground) for KLM at Schiphol AMS. These videos always make me even more excited than I already am to go to work and provide passengers with the best service I can!
I often Zed fare on you guys and always have a great experience!! You've always been able to let me check in super last minute for my connecting flights in Europe after arriving from the US. It's always very much appreciated!! You guys are great!
I miss Copa Airlines - I used to fly with them quite frequently BOG-PTY-LIM, back in 2015/2016 they used to serve sandwiches for a 90 minute hop from BOG-PTY. Great, vibrant crew as well.
Flown Copa airlines twice from Denver and loved it both times. We flew in a massive thunderstorm which was amazing to watch and had to go around. Love copa
This was a 737 MAX 9, and the abbreviation "739" means "737-900", an NG model, the previous generation. Anyway, when pilots have a long enough runway to take off from, as in Cancún, they are in no hurry to rotate. They often accelerate the engines more slowly and allow the plane to run longer on the runway, which forces the engines less and is good for their useful life.
I always get a window seat on the left when going into to Panama. That view is amazing. I've found Copa to be very reliable and comfortable and I very much like that airport.
Kind of funny how you focus for a reasonable time the conviasa plane and not even mention about it, Venezuela no longer exist to the eyes of aviation so sad cause I was born there and we had such aviation history! 😢
It looks like 737-800. I am taking about interiors. I know max has his own features outside. I am from Nicaragua and I am pretty sure that Copa Airlines is the best airline in Latin América. I have travel with Copa Airlines many times in my life.. since 1984.
Hey simply aviation, nice trip you did, can I ask if you got the cellphone from Copa Airlines for the inflight entertainment or is it yours and you went to the link?
Did they actually have Taskmaster on the IFE? Interesting choice to fitout some of economy only with seatback screens, but the flight looked comfiortable and uneventful on a modern product (noting that ex-Copa E190s are now flying some routes for Qantas and Virgin Austrlia)
I'm gonna fly from Confins (CNF) to Panama City (PTY) really soon. I wish they flew the 737 MAX on this route but they fly the "old" 737 with the split scimitar winglets, which might be good enough for a 6h~7h trip. Then I'll be heading to Mexico City (MEX) three days after the first flight and I believe they fly the same 737 version on this route as well.
Yes I read it, Let me be more clear Copa Airlines is not full or partially owned by the panamanian government. You say “State Owned” wich is different to a public company that is the condition of Copa
Good report mate! I really enjoy going to Cancun for their beautiful beaches and especially for the warm welcome I receive from the mexican hospitality. My favorite airline there is Aeromexico 👍.
What other central American carriers are there? COPA has now taken over that market. They have done it with quality and good investment so hats off to them.
I highly recommend doing a flight irl from KDTW (Detroit) - LFPG (Paris) they added a Airfrance A359 and I’m taking it from Detroit-Paris on April27th of 2022. I highly suggest doing a flight like this 😁
*Finally* Copa Airlines! I've been waiting for this trip report for a long time! Thank you :D Greetings from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦😁🖐️ Loved the Harley Davidson store by the way :)
737 Max 9 What a plane Cool and unique video I love your videos! I think I said this before, but I seriously can’t live without you guy’s videos Keep uploading I love your videos
Hello! Can someone please tell me how can I find incoming flight before I get on that plane? For example if I'm at Dublin international airport waiting for Frankfurt flight. How or where can I find the aircraft that is coming for me? With your help is much appreciated!
I just flew on the Southwest and American Airlines Boeing 737-8 MAX in 2023 Summer Southwest Airlines IAH-MCO / B737-8 MAX American Airlines MIA-IAH / B737-8 MAX
Thank you Felix. Your trip reports are some of the bests on RUclips. I really enjoy watching them. Very anxious to wait in between for the next one. Take care n always Happy n Safe landings. Greetings from Bremen, Germany
It's no longer partially owned by UA (49%). It was until 2008. COPA is owned by Copa Holdings, S.A. (NYSE: CPA) is a publicly traded foreign private issuer listed on the New York Stock Exchange and parent company of Panamanian carrier Copa Airlines and its subsidiary, Colombian carrier Copa Airlines Colombia and Wingo.

Love flying with Copa. It's a consistent product and the Panama hub is just great and convenient.
Thanks for reviewing COPA - really a fantastic airline that offers a pretty affordable gateway to central/South America from the states.
i mean wow. them views over the water just after the plane took off looked beautiful.
Flown Copa airlines twice from Denver and loved it both times. We flew in a massive thunderstorm which was amazing to watch and had to go around. Love copa
I flew Copa YYZ-PTY-UIO and back on a 737-8. Absolutely no complaints from me. Comfy, decent IFE and tasty food.
I’m loving the constant uploads! Keep up the great work!
Omg you finally did Copa!!! Been waiting for this. Hopefully I'm not dumb and somehow missed a different review on this airline from you guys
The 739 has such a long takeoff run for a relatively small size.

@Khoi Le Anh To be exact it's ICAO designator is the B39M
Its 737. Not 739

Flew copa from Guatemala to NY a few years ago and it was awesome! The food and service was also fantastic!
Awesome trip report like always. Cancun was my first trip report ever, seeing that coast brought back memories. :)

As a Panamanian, I feel honored that you flew on my country's flag carrier 😁
I'm from America, and our unofficial flag carrier is American Airlines.
@@joezegers why is it unofficial? We also have JetBlue and delta and United
@@joezegers We do not have a flag carrier. Official or unofficial, especially with 3 legacy carriers that are all massive.
Great video. Always loved flying on COPA. thanks.
10:11-10:32 this side view reminds me of the approach to CGK on runway 25L/25R 😁
Finally!! So glad to see a tripreport on my favorite airline! :)

I'm surprised that Copa Airlines hasn't updated their livery yet, even though United/Continental doesn't own them anymore.
Expect such things from panamanian state owned companies. Copa airlines is partially state-owned.
@@imeakdo7 Copa Airlines is not state owned

Everything alright?
Hope they bring the snacks back. And pausing the video during deplaning, looks like Business Class only got water and Snyder's Pretzels. Yikes
Great work mate. Nice video
Nice to see that A340 from Conviasa in CUN airport.

Why does Copa Airlines, United Airlines, and Continental Airlines' logos look so similar?
It is because united own 49% of COPA.

Simply aviation, if possible, try to catch a flight on spirit airline’s newest A320 neo. I heard that the airline is finally improving.
