We absolutely love our Brinkley 3610
Yeah, I hope Brinkley continues to hang in there with quality build and support. From what I've seen and heard from some friends that have one, they have a winning game going. Thank you watching!
Hahaha - love the opening!! That Grand Design Influence is gorgeous!! It's almost Spring! WooHoo!
No kidding. Getting the rig this week.
No comparison. The Brinkley blows this away, and I own a GD!
So do we. Had they been around back in 2019 when we got ours, we would have given them a serious look. Luckily, we've not had any major (or really minor) issues. (watch it all fall apart this year, now that I said that). Thank you watching and chiming in!
If I had to choose without more research, Brinkley just for the better frame design. Better frame means less frame flex and fewer frame failures. That seems to be the thing going around right now.
Yeah, Frame Flex is all the talk right now. I'm still trying to find out if it is a Grand Design only issue or other manufacturers as well. Thanks for watching. The Brinkley IS very nice and had they been in the market when we were looking to buy, it would have been on the top of the list for sure!
@@RVWagginTails -the majority of it is a Grand Design issue.
great intro loved it
Timely video we just did the Toronto show this weekend
We did Tampa back in January
Wendy is Brinkley all the way...toy hauler or not...might get her in a Valour
Me...if money wasn't an issue...Brinkley....with budget....Keystone, Alliance & forest river....all toy haulers
That young gentleman you talked to from Brinkley, is very knowledgeable for a young fella...we had a long chat with him in Tampa.
Looking forward to your next tours.
Thanks Rob,
I had been wanting to kind of poke fun at ourselves for not being there and make it LOOK like we were there and that we were some kind of "star" and many other channels were "star struck" seeing us. LOL.
Looking forward to this RV season!
Go Brinkley for sure ❤
We are looking. Not sure if we'll replace our current rig just yet, but as we prepare for "most time" RVing, we might need something a bit more roomy than our GrandDesign 295RL. Thank you for watching our video and please, stay in touch!
Both have Lippert Frames
How many frame manufacturers are there?
Great cliff hanger! I’m intrigued!
Yeah, its a different looking rig! Thank you for hangin' with us!
Lets go spring! Nice share and info! 🎉
Thanks for watching. I truly appreciate you hanging with us
I enjoy walking through all the different RV designs. If I didn't enjoy retirement so much, I could see myself selling RVs part-time.
You and Keith should go into business! LOL. Thanks for watching!
I like Brendin, I met him at the Hershey RV Show. He knows his brand (Brinkley) very well. Those ducting hoses for the furnace totally won me over, but the nail in "Here's your sign." was when I saw all the plumbing used brass fittings instead of plastic. Grand Design is selling a bunch of crap RV's and a lot of people are having their Frames fail on them.
I've seen the frame flex stuff, just not sure if it's a GD only issue or not. Brendon was great. Tina really put him on the spot a couple of times!
@@RVWagginTails at the moment, I meet more people with Grand Design issues than any other brand
@@rvfamilylife and that's a shame. Wasn't that long ago that grand design was the Brinkley of today.
I would research Grand Design and there frame failure issues thoroughly before buying one those units.
Anyone looking for an RV should do research. It's a shame that Grand Design is the focus of the ongoing issue. Thanks for commenting and watching!
Thanks for the shout out guys! We do have those chairs and they are comfy, even for my big butt!!! The puck lights in the bedroom are on a dimmer if they are too bright for David.
It was fun walking through your RV in Louisville. It's a pretty rig for sure. Thanks for watching. Happy and safe travels.
Tina
We were at the tampa r v show in 2023. It was a lot of fun. Were you able to get press passes for this one? Lynn and Danny
I called a buddy of mine who's manager of a dealership nearby. There really were no press passes and the pass that I could get was during a work week for me . Boo on that!
Thanks for watching. Fingers crossed for Tampa 2025.
Isn't GD the one with all the frame flex issues?
Well, I know they have been having some issues with frames flexing. I just saw a video from Big Truck Big RV where he goes and interviews some engineers from Lippert.
Here is that video link -- ruclips.net/video/NVbNxtzO-mQ/видео.html
I’ve seen all their videos (BTBRV), and others made about the specific failures.
Something’s very fishy between the relationship between Grand Design and Lippert relating to Lippert’s frame failure issues on their 5th wheel RVs.
Until lawsuits take this to task and they discover who’s responsible, I would be very cautious about Grand Design 5th wheels.
My take: Lippert is pointing to Grand Design as the problem since Lippert says they build to GD’s design as GD’s superstructure stiffens the frames, which is the root of the failures.
This story will change as soon as the lawsuits begin.
I’m wondering what other 5th wheel manufacturers are having frame failure issues.
I’m very curious of the weights of the peoples rv with frame failures. I know one big channel that just sold theirs had to have been way over weight, and several others are packing way too much in them.
@@Brinkley_like_a_backroad We visited a RV manufacturer before we started the channel and I can tell you that the manufacturers KNOW that ppl overload their rigs.
I can't speak to your query, but the RVs should certainly be designed to carry full holding tanks, loaded to typical use weights, rough roads, and a reasonable safety factor. My opinion, anything less is inappropriate and creates a life safety danger to the user and general public.
Brinkley
When it comes to 5th wheels, only one has longevity. Montana. The frame breakage from the newer builders is unacceptable. A frame should be built to last, and should only fail from age and fatigue!! Lippert builds to engineers. What builders put on them, that causes this problem. You can't just put another axel under it, and call it a toy hauler.
Frame flex is all the talk right now. If I've read articles correctly this issue is on the larger models.
Thank you for watching and commenting.
Two Words..Frame Flex from Grand Designs
Is the issue only with Grand Design? If so, that would be a red flag. Please check out these videos from BTBRV
ruclips.net/video/NVbNxtzO-mQ/видео.html
Frame flex from Lippert
If you watched BTBRV the metal was very thin not what I expected, IMHO!
Lippert builds frames at the dealers order, design, and specifications. When they change the layout of the inside of their designs and not check with Lippert, they take the responsibility upon themselves. Or use substandard fasteners to attach their walls or frame builds it once again falls on them

WE FINALLY FOUND YA!!
We saw you guys peeking on us!
After what is going on with Grand design I wouldn't buy their grap if you gave it away the frames do not hold 😊
I'm not 100% sure of this but I believe the major structural issues also known as the frame flex are on the larger RVs. But as always, you should do your homework prior to making a major purchase on anything.
Now isn't the time to purchase a new RV do to manufacturers cutting corners and the issue of frame failure. Buyer Beware. Buy at your own risk.
We are not in the market. But enjoy looking
