Great video, very fair and balanced. Don’t appreciate the click bait title and thumbnail though. Too many RV RUclipsrs relying on cheesy tactics like that. It is beneath you, sir.

    • @TreeTalkerTheTraveler
      @TreeTalkerTheTraveler  14 дней назад +1

I appreciate your watching, commenting, and kind words. And while I respect your opinion, I disagree as it is not click bait. This video is part of a review of my Brinkley. The subject matter of this video was what broke during the first several months and 8k miles. A thumbnail is a representation of the subject matter. It needs to be simple and notify the potential viewer of the subject matter and must do so in an image as small as a literal thumbnail on a mobile devices. A picture of a broke screw for example or lots of words would not be visible. So a simple symbolic picture is used. No reasonable person would believe an RV would break in two as in the clearly photo cut thumbnail. So it’s a reasonable representation of the subject matter that should not mislead anyone of reason, and thus, not click bait. It’s shows a broken RV. The subject matter is what broke in the RV. It’s on point. I hope this helps explain the thought behind thumbnails.
The title was just “ Brinkley Z 3610 Owners Review.”
But I do understand your view and appreciate the comment.
Thanks again for watching and commenting.

3 are ones I’ve done twice.
Our 9700 mile trip, brakes completely worn out to the rivets.
Trim pieces on the slide face inside falling off.
Half way through our trip we got the wall movement and were then told to bring our 3100 from Key West to Goshen for the repair to the bulging wall and cracked interior wall.

For screws that have backed-out, and 'lost' the threads, jam a wooden golf tee in the hole (with a little 2-part epoxy), cut the Tee flush, then predrill & drive the replacement screw in.

Great videos! We have the 3610 as well, purchased in August so fresh off the assembly line. I wonder if you've had an issue with yours that we are experiencing. When ever we dump the grey tanks, the camper fills with sewer odder. I think it has something to do with the lack of p-traps (all of our other RVs have had p-traps so we are not familiar with the flap style that this camper has). Our only way to prevent it has been to put stoppers and a little water in each sink before we dump. Have you noticed anything similar?

General RV 🤬🤬 I also had a small tear in my floor, which General proceeded to “fix”. I now have an entire”plank” that has been cut out and a new one put in. None of the seams on this plank will stay closed and my subfloor is now in danger of getting damaged. General RV would not repair it and when I asked them to replace the floor that they messed up, the answer was no. I have a Forest River and they also told me no. Now I have a new camper with a floor that is all cut up! If I was a betting girl, I’d put money on the fact that General switched your cords.

The trailer pulls far better than my Lance (a TT) did. It pulls easy, tracks great. I have pulled it over the mountains (12000’ plus) with no issues. My Lance had sway issues (until I got a ProPride). The 5th just tows better.

Watching this through and I don't see anything "broken". Cosmetic issues and something installed incorrectly, that your dealership should have fixed. The missing screws should have been found during delivery inspection before you left the lot IMHO. I'm a firearms instructor and I always tell students that if I'm nitpicking minor things, then they are doing all the big things right.

@@TreeTalkerTheTraveler I AM a little afraid now that the 1yr warranty expired for me. If you need anything like parts they want you to go through the dealership to get them and you know that the dealers charge double for parts and can screw things up. The weakest link in Brinklesy's business is the dealership. They need to do like Airstream and have their own dealership and service centers to keep quality control under their control. If they don't do that now that they are starting they will go down like the other RV manufacturers.

day 10 of owning a '25 z3610 and its getting towed back to the dealership because its so broken. paid 3k for the dealer to fix all the problems these units ship out with because brinkley ships units very incomplete and they forgot to do it. day 10 and my unit is gone. day 10. if you only want to use your brinkley once before its gone indefinitely for warranty work then buy a brinkley.

I hope they get your rig up and working properly soon and maybe see youngster a campground. Do keep me posted on how it goes I’m very interested.

Thanks for watching and commenting. This is a three part review in which I went over the positive and negatives. A fan boy only review is of little value to someone looking to buy. This part covered what broke or didn’t hold up in first big trip. I think that’s of value to a buyer to know. You may disagree. It was what broke during the trip so the thumbnails accurately reflects the subject matter. Thumbnails are literally the size of a thumbnail on some devices so you try to give some indication the subject matter in one or two words and should be considered along with title. If I could explain the entire video in a thumbnail would be wealthy and not need the video. So video is about what broke on a Brinkley and thumbnail says broken Brinkley - spot on.
But if you know a better thumbnail please share as I would love and welcome a better one. It’s harder than people think to make a good thumbnail.
      Thanks again.

Great video sir, I’m not a happy camper and I’ll tell you why. We took it upon ourselves to look at the camper trailer industry over a three year investigation we settled on a Brinkley. We had three dealers in our area that we went to. The first one was more interested in us giving a deposit to hod the unit then reall😊y listening to what we wanted. The second one did listen however could not make the changes to what we wanted stating it would void our warranty. So we then reached out to Brinkley only to be told they could not do what we wanted. So we did some more research and found the manufactures of part that they supply Brinkley. So we can spend $265,000.00 on the Brinkley from the dealer, then another $52,000 on the upgrades after we take delivery. The other part of this was the truck to pull it that was another venture. I do want to make one note clear. The trailer we were looking at had three 7000 lbs axels. The GVRW 21,500 lbs. from the factory the trailer fully loaded would be over what the axels can support. We are very disappointed with the dealers we had access to and with Brinkley management, we did our homework as everyone should, I’m sad to say we will not be camping with a Brinkley any time soon. I wish you the best of luck with yours sir. Thank you for the video. Cheers!

@@TreeTalkerTheTravelerIf you want have to have a fit and finished glitz and glamour Rv. Get a New Horizons. Long wait time as it will be custom built to your specifications and they build their own frames. Not cheap $350k plus. It’s not our type of camping. We like boondocking a lot Rustic camping no one around. ORV is our choice for a Rv. We’ve owned tt and 5th wheel. We like tt better for our off road off grid camping and the 100 gallon freshwater tank that can be fully loaded before the trip begins is a great advantage of a custom built frame to accommodate it. Thanks for your video. I like watching how the mass produced Rv hold up. Our 3 Forest Rivers and 1 Keystone were fun for little excursions but would not handle long term (8000 mile) trips. I’m glad yours is doing great.

Thanks for watching and giving it a try. Not every channel is for everyone so even if you don’t subscribe we truly appreciate that you gave it a chance.
The thumbnail is actually not deceptive at all. A thumbnail is literally the size of an actual thumbnail when displayed on some phones and devices. So you have to use visual representations or symbolism to efficiently communicate the subject matter. You can’t use a lot of words and stay readable. The title can give more information as this one does. This was a video that part of a series reviewing this model RV, a Brinkley. This specific video covers what broke in first 800 miles. How to display broken items in a thumbnail? A screw missing would not be visible as an example. The clearly cropped trailer in two parts does communicate broken items in RV as does the word broken. More words become unreadable. No reasonable intelligent person would think an RV broke cleanly in two like the clearly cropped photo so would understand when combined with title that’s it’s about how the RV held up over 8000 miles. Very clear and correct.
