Well I'll have to admit that when I was 16 years old I was a bandit one time. I got away from a motor cop. Years later after I became a police officer I told the guy that it was me. He laughed and never had any bad feelings. But again that was 46 years ago. Times were different and the police were more understanding, unlike today taking it personal.

i dont ride bikes and generally i dont have a problem when they run away from cops but when they start taking over the road and they start driving the wrong way then that something only a moron would do. if one gets hurt by a car while driving the wrong way then the other bikers will blame the person driving the vehicle when it was the bikers fault
Mad respect for the guy with a 1000cc supersport who has the integrity to pull over. Most cops wont give you a ticket if you pull over, because they're so used to being ran from by bikes. That guy could have totally left that state patrol in the dust in that kind of traffic.

Washington State cops are pricks, especially in King County. No shock that they didn't give you a warning, they'll take your money any chance they get. Honestly, I pity anyone stuck dealing with those self indulging pricks. I'm so thankful I moved away for work, to this day I still freak out when I see a cop because of dealing with those types of cops growing up and it's been over 10 years since I moved.

#1 rule of getting away from cops in a dirt bike: Go off road ASAP. Make sure you either get in a difficult-to-navigate area with trees or rocks or a field that you have a tire advantage: dirt bike tires are made for off road, cop car tires aren’t.

To the guy that thought lane splitting was legal. Lane splitting and driving on the shoulder are very different things in the eyes of the law. Even if lane split was legal what he did was still illegal.
It's not legal to lane split in Washington state. It's 2022 still not legal. Not knowing the laws is not an excuse for breaking them.
You don't have to be faster than the cops, just faster than your buddy...haha
