He laughed and never had any bad feelings. But again that was 46 years ago. Times were different and the police were more understanding, unlike today taking it personal.

In Florida what he called a lane split looked like he was riding in the breakdown or emergency lane. A big no-no. Can pay up to $150+ depending on the cop.
#1 rule of getting away from cops in a dirt bike: Go off road ASAP. Make sure you either get in a difficult-to-navigate area with trees or rocks or a field that you have a tire advantage: dirt bike tires are made for off road, cop car tires aren’t.
