Can i still spray paint in the 60s its oct 12 2024 and i live in central illinois. My mobile home is a 1988 aluminum
One more suggestion know I make sure everybody is make sure you have no leaks going on and make sure all your plumbing is new. Make sure you don’t have old clay pipes because the roots grow through that we’ve been paying all these years. I have Roto-Rooter clean the pipes and they don’t fix the pipes you guys they just cut the roots out of them so the whole time that septic water is leaking into our dirt and that’s what contaminates are dirt and that’s what contaminates or fruit trees in our gardens that’s why they grow.
WHOOHOOEY !!! What an AWESOME difference paint makes. Great job !!!
We're trying to find about an acre or so to put a mobile home on, right now. We're are excited for our own "journey to bliss!" Thanks for sharing and I ❤ your new house color. Great choice and can't wait to see the windows boxes. 😁
Ivy Bradford Thanks so much! And God bless your Journey 😊
GREAT GREAT JOB IT LOOKS GREAT IM PAINTING MY MOBILE HOME AND YOUR ADVICE HAS HELPED ALOT
Good job! Prepping to paint my mobile home. Glad I found this because I've been skeptical.
Thanks for sharing
The house looks beautiful I've been thinking about painting my house its a concrete house for years. Living alone and having back issues is not good. I want to but maybe I'll start in the back and see how that goes. The best to you and family. GOD BLESS
Yessss I needed this!! I plan on painting my doublewide this fall and am absolutely DREADING it!! Hopefully mine will look as good as y’all’s!!
Susan Reed Awesome! And thank you!
Oooooooo! Love that blue/grey color!
I painted mine first thing, and with a roller and brushes! It took over a week. After watching this video, I'm sold on spraying paint with a paint gun. Wow, that was awesome how fast it went!
It looks like you guys have so much exterior space; are you not living at at mobile home park? That is my hesitation to buying a mobile home. The new color looks a gazillion times better! Spraying it looked like it went so quick.
Domer Home Thank you! We actually live in this really neat little neighborhood where about half the homes are mobile homes and half are site built homes but they are all on around 1/4 acre to 1 acre! We were so excited to find this place 😊
Our Journey To Bliss That's so awesome to have the exterior space!
I think the white trim around the windows will make it look so pretty and fresh! I don't know if you are near an Ikea, but they have these neat patio/deck squares that you may be interested in. They are called "Runnen" if you want to look them up.
Megan Young Oh cool! We'll look into them! Thanks!
That is beautiful I love these kinds of videos yall have a nice place
My 2003 Solitaire needs to be painted but in the park (which is a very good and very strict park) where I live, spraying isn’t allowed😏. I have the shutters with the Solitaire diamonds. I like that touch. I didn’t know yours had a little add-on back room. Very pretty. Can’t wait to see the white trim and shutters.
Cubby Levi thanks! The Solitaire diamonds sound pretty!
We painted our mobile home too and it was def easier than I thought it would be. The spray gun is a life saver. I did use the metal guard instead of the card board so I may use that next time. Great color too.
You're so lucky to have property. Looks great.
small footprint Thank you! We feel very blessed!
Awesome we just bought aost the same house in florida moving from ohio love the slgan of your site live simple live well thats what wete doing best of luck to you and your family
You did a great job. Love the color.
Like the color and cardboard paint guards in the application. When the window trim is done, it should add to the dramatic improvement.
Yes! I love it! Very nice
i'd like to see the white trim around the windows done, it looks good though
Could you talk more about painting the interior of the home. What kind of walls were there, vinyl covered, wood panel or sheet rock? What kind of paint did you use to get the look you have?
Other people have asked for that information, too. I'll make a video soon discussing that topic!
@@OurJourneyToBliss Thank you I'll look forward to it.
Looking good. Makes you proud. Just warms the heart. ♥️
I’m thinking of painting mine! (By hand?!) eeep. Thank you for all the tips. I know this is old, but I’m glad to have learned. How’d the windows turn out?
Nice..love the color.. probably bcuz we just painted our home this past June and chose similar colors😁...Your friend did make the painting look easy👍👍
Great job-the color is beautiful.
Cedar shutters would look amazing and pop on that feather falls color!!!
I would stick to lighter colors for two reasons, one to keep it cooler inside and two my park will only ok certain colors, I would paint around the front window with a lighter color just so it stands out a bit......but good job...now I need to paint my home and roof what do you recommend for my roof paint, silver coating, 100% silicone, elastomeric, acrylic, rubber, flex seal, truck bed liner paint etc......
Add white to ur trim and around the windows it’ll really bring out ur house
I love it and the color
looking great bud keep it up.
Healthy trees, though large, don't endanger homes. If arborists are telling you to top the big ones, they're imposing a slow death sentence for the tree. Best to keep them 'limbed', not topped, or just remove them altogether. Hate to see mature trees destroyed unnecessarily. Love what you're doing as a family. Wish you all success!
I'd of liked to see more accent, like white gutters, and down spouts, and around windows. As long as Amber likes it, it's a win though. I'm a painting contractor, and have seen the craziest thing over the years, believe me.lol Looks good, and it protects it real well. Fun fact, paint was developed to protect surfaces before they even thought of coloring it.
cant wait to see the end result !
Thanks for sharing. Why didn't you show the window that wasn't finished, and why did you decide to change the color, and what color did you decide on? I'm thinking of doing that and wondered if you encountered a problem. My old windows are black aluminum and I want them white like it looked like you were doing.
You did a nice job!! Looks great!!
Really nice color, my friend just purchased her mobile home:) and I will share your ideas with her thank you for the videos
love the color.
Thanks for content gave me inspiration
Can you make a comment about the type of paint you used for the outside?
where you painted over your gutters?
Wanting to paint my 90s mobile home. How well has the paint held up? Any peeling?
Please please let me know how u call those kind of windows I have the same windows
Great job on the painting your mobile home, I appreciate the great tips..
Your Home looks So Nice!
6:42 I would recommend cardboard as well and if you're on a tight budget let the cardboard dry and then use the opposite side, just tape the hole closed and cut a new one if you desire.
Interested in knowing what your power bill runs per month in this mobile home and does the central a/c keep it cool ? My friend just had a Coleman a/c installed in her mobile home and it was 4000 dollars...I like the color but I could see you adding some white shutters to the front window would set it off
Looks great, the shrubs around the house would look great if they were trimmed up some.
Awesome job guys! I love the color payoff, think y'all are going to enjoy for many years to come. If u don't mind me asking, can u give any tips on finding a good arborist, & maybe the average cost to have them come out? I too have large trees, mostly water oaks, that are not looking very healthy & are making me nervous.
Kimberly Christie Our neighbor just happened to be an arborist but maybe search online for arborists near your city. Sorry we don't have any other ideas. 🙄 But we heard that to have a tree around this size taken down is usually round $1500.
Love the color!
May I ask you what type of spray painting equipment did you use.
Looks nice
Wow beautiful. What paint hub were you using? I've had 2 and disappointed in both. Please let me know I have a privacy fence to paint.
Judy, I'm not sure what you mean by "paint hub", but if you mean store, we used Kelly-Moore paints! They are a great company with great products! Thanks for commenting!!
Painting the inside my living room green and need
any tips from you/neighbor on how to paint mobile with aluminum siding?. we re being forced to paint it and put a cool seal coating on the roof but cannot afford to hire a painter. have no idea where to start.
Aluminum siding can be a more tedious job. Remember to make sure it’s cleaned and scrubbed very well. You may wan to purchase a product designed to clean aluminum siding. Then you’ll have to prime it prior to painting it. If you want to speed it up, you could buy an airless sprayer from Harbor Freight. It takes some learning on how to use and clean them properly, but they really speed up the job. You could also talk with other people in your area and ask what they did. Maybe someone close to you knows someone who would do it all for cheap!
For faded aluminum siding you want to add EmulsaBond to the first coat of paint. That’ll help it bond with the old chalky paint. For the second coat just use straight paint.
Looks great 👍
Don't care for the color choice but it is your house not mine but I must say it looks very good in the video, some great tips on the video too!
Wow! I can’t believe it went this fast! What sprayer did you use?
Yes, went quick! I cannot remember the brand of sprayer he uses, but it was an airless sprayer. They make quick work of most projects!
Nice bro I like the color
Looks good
Spray painting doesn't last as long as factory paint because they bake the paint on.
LOVE THE COLOR..MAYBE DO THE PORCH LIGHT GRAY OR TAN..
Do I need to use primer to paint an old Steel mobile home
Thank u that help a lot how come the porches were not paint?
Haha, good question! We are planning on building a new deck in the front soon. So we figured we would just wait to do that... thanks for commenting!
My mom just hired a guy to paint and the paint didn’t have primer and he’s not even done yet and you can literally peel the paint off so I want to know if he needs to take the paint off before applying a primer before painting again
I just want to know how much a avarage or estimate to what should be charge to paint a Mobil home just got a project but going tomw give them an estate and sell it
What is it underpinned with and what’s been done to the outside walls?
Love it that was neat.
Im thinking about getting my dads home done
Take ur gray water to water ur yard help with the water bill
From where I can get the spray gun ?
Did u have to primer it
What state do you live in? I like your yard. Wondering what kind of trees you have. Wasp & butterflies?
What type of paint. I was told acrylic and I bought a x5
I need to repaint my mobile home but I live in a MH park so I have no Idea how to go about this or the price
Where can i get that spray paint gun you use or whats the name??
If you're interested in doing something good do a landscape food plot plant a little bit here a little bit there that you can eat
Nice!
I wonder what part of usa 🇺🇸 🤔 are you located those trees remember me to Oklahoma
I just bought a double wide and it's ugly. Can't wait to paint this spring
How much does sprayer cost to paint the mobile home????
Do you maintain the back to keep snakes out?
Cubby Levi yes and mostly mice, weeds and ticks😊
That's a lovely home you have...what area do you live in?
forever one Thank you! We live just outside of Tulsa Oklahoma 😊
What paint brand / color is that ?
I got a price for my 960 Sq ft mobile home and he said 3,500 for the whole interior and just for the ceilings.. does that seem high? Please help
Nice.. wish It we're mine
I would think you maintain to keep snakes away?
Stephanie Duran Yes and it helps keep mice and ticks and weeds out too. 😊
Put some figs trees in your backyard, you will no longer be wraps because bird's love fig trees
figs are pollenated by wasps
Final Cost ?
If you can spray it allways spray save material and it tastes less time 5-minute job in 5 seconds with the sprayer
Great job though please turn down music if you don't mind?
Great video. What a good neighbor (friend) to show you how to do this and help you. So why do you keep that area maintained in the back? At first i thought so you do not get litter back there. Love your mobile home.
Candy Renee wonder this too?? Maybe fire prevention but it's not really dry. Maybe to keep ticks away lol
yeah Kayla Austin. I would bet that could be. I never thought of ticks or fire prevention. I was trying to figure what is behind their yard. I cannot really tell; maybe an empty lot?? One other thing I thought of is so that maybe ground hogs would not be tempted to burrow there (or any other pests or snakes) :)
Yes! Sorry it took a bit for us to respond ladies! But we keep it mowed because it helps keep mice, ticks and weeds out of the yard. 😊
Didn't think about mice!! Good to keep it mowed 😂!
Amber wants everything.. 😂
No to blue.
Did you shave your head? Looks very distinguished. Though maybe I'm just imagining a change? Lol!
the op kingdom Haha Yes! You're very observant!
Toi
*Trim your shrubs, clean it up. Paint job looks great but the places looks sloppy as heck just being real.*
Stopped viewing when I heard the music
Music too loud
I don't mean to be negative but every video you turn to you're just looking to get a quick answer of what you need and they have music and it's an hour worth of talking thank you for your video sorry just very frustrating every RUclips video you get on they talk and talk and talk and talk
How to paint fast, just paint the gutters and downspouts the same color, ahahahaha. But seriously, no thanks.
