EXCELLENT VIDEO One thing I never leave the house without is a plastic bag I get from any store. The bags they use when you purchase items. The bag fold up stick it in my back pocket, You can use them of 100 different WAY. ...... Use like a GLOVE.... CARRY STUFF... COVER STUFF..... ON AND ON.. TRY IT..
They don’t have plastic bags at any of the grocery stores near me, but I have a nanobag I always have in my sling when I’m out. Comes in handy all the time, heard about it from the comments in these videos actually
While the description says "tool only" it does come with one each of a bi-metal ruclips.net/user/postUgkx0vyBwjtx9GGOuiqUVT2sRoYqmDoNT_RI and HCS blade plus an adaptor plate for non-DeWalt blades. Wish I had known that before I bought the blade kit, but oh well. Since I already have a DeWalt drill, charger and batteries there was no need to buy more of those so this was a great deal. There is one other consideration. DeWalt does't sell the depth guide separately so you need to buy the three parts which make it up -- the N275350 block assy, the N275341 metal rod and the N278801 knob. Amazon does sell all three.
I’ll give it a thumbs up for the Mudmaster. An associate and I are having a healthy debate about G-Shock right now. I have never been a fan because I feel they feel cheap and don’t have as much practical functionality as I would like in the woods. However, with the features you mention, there is a potential G-Shock that I can potentially get behind. I don’t think I would have any use for any of the other gadgets you mention though honestly. It is like pocket candy, extra things that have not much real world function that take up space and won’t get you out of a survival situation for real. 👍🏻 Thanks for the watch suggestion though!
Glad you’re digging the mudmaster! Totally understand on the other gear, kind of comes with the territory of this series with more unique gear, usually one of a kind items are a bit more niche for who would find them useful.
I found the InCharge XL 1 ft charging cable length to be much more useful than the keychain length. I carry the 1ft for EDC and add the 2m length for travel.
Thank you for the tips for building an EDC kit, I have already received the Multiport Charging Cable, and the knife seems an excellent small option to have in the keychain, btw I could see keychain build with some unique accessories in your channel, I currently have in my EDC bag the following: - JOBY GripTight ONE Micro Stand - Nite Ize S-Biner MicroLock - GEAR AID HEROCLIP Carabiner Clip and Hook (Mini) for Travel - Rolling Square inCharge 6 Portable Keychain Charger Cable - OLIGHT I3T EOS 180 Lumens Dual-Output Slim EDC Flashlight for Camping and Hiking - UGREEN 45W USB C Charger - 10000mah fast charge battery bank - a regular pen with Tip for Touch Screen - some USB drives (8 and 16GB) Keep doing excellent work showing amazing and unique accessories. I have been researching about the following tools that fit my daily and/or travel needs: (what will you recommend me) - Gerber SUSPENSION-NXT (daily) - Leatherman WAVE + (daily) - Bit Bar II (travel) - KNIPEX Tools - Cobra XS Water Pump Pliers (travel) I also have the CIVIVI Baby Banter Pocket Folding Knife in my wishlist to be added to my daily EDC bag
Your setup sounds great! Appreciate you sharing it here. Regarding any recs for the options you were checking out - I’ve been extremely happy with the wave+ the past few years! If the tool options work well for you it’d be a great choice.
Thank you! Found it on Etsy a few years ago, unfortunately last time I checked they don’t make the same one anymore. A few similar options if you look around for industrial lamps though
Did your x3 come with the charging lanyard? I think it’s much nicer than the charging cord you showed.. It comes with a clip that you can attach to your keys. The actual charging cord is flat and is also a 25cm ruler. It’s type C to type C and has an adapter for iPhone. Quality materials.
I can’t remember exactly which cable came with the x3. I got a pre release unit though and it was a bit different from the public version. Cable/lanyard you mentioned sounds great though!
You're the man, Josh! Very cool gear here in this video. Thrilled that you featured the Marksmith and excited to hear more on your thoughts about the pen insert! Thanks again, brother!
For the Modl, last vacation i wound up using one to improvise a chest strap for my daypack. i also don't have a lot of use cases, but will keep em around as backup
As long as you’re okay with so-so sound quality they’re really nice to wear. I’ve seen some good sales for them over the past year, might be worth keeping an eye out!
As always an excellent video. The nano bags come in multiple sizes, which size is yours? Do you know what sizes matches up with the standard grocery bag? Keep up the good work.
Regarding the inCharge 6 charging cable. I purchased it because of all the great features it offers and that you point out. However, it won't fit far enough through my phone case that protects my iPhone 14. (OtterBox Defender Pro Series Case) The housing of the cable bumps up against the case just enough that it won't allow the Lightning plug to fully reach and make a full connection in my phone. I was worried about that but I didn't see anything in the reviews so I took the chance. Lightning is the most popular one I would use and they have it positioned (hidden) within the USB-C. So that's where you have to open that hinge to gain access which is no big deal but the hinge doesn't work as good as the hinge at the opposite end of the cable. It sort of hangs up each time and is not as smooth-quality action as the other. Plus I'm not going to take the phone out of the case so I'm sending the inCharge 6 back. I still think it's worth it and if it fits I would keep it. They do make an inCharge X model that might solve that issue as it's slimmer but it cost $10 more. It claims 100w ultra-fast charging. Search inCharge X on Amazon. Thanks for the reviews Josh and much appreciated.
I haven’t used cases in so long the thought hadn’t crossed my mind about case compatibility! I actually realized from your comment as well that I made a mistake with the item listing in the description, I have the in charge x (not the 6) I think it’s still a fairly bulky cable so it may not work with a big case like yours but the 100w charging definitely works!
@@joshfenn Hey Josh. Actually, after reading your comment just now, I realized that you were correct. I don't know why I assumed you were reviewing the inCharge 6. You even said in the video that yours was the X. I think because I had just purchased mine and they look alike I thought you were reviewing it. You even linked to the X so my bad. Good information to put that there though about the possibility of the fit with cases like the Otterbox. I just came across your channel and liked your reviews so Subscribing today!! Thanks again for your efforts and for being thorough with following up. .
I bought the Linkbuds the day they came out, and I had to return them a week later. My ears were too painful to touch after wearing them just an hour. I ended up getting a used pair of 1st gen Airpods Pro after and they are loaded better in comfort, and the transparency of the Airpods is much better than the open air design of the Linkbuds.
Crazy to hear about the ear pain with the link buds! They have some big faults for me but comfort was one of the few things that worked well for my ears. AirPods Pro are great though, mainly what I’ve used as a daily for the past couple of years since the sound is far better than the linkbuds.
Forgot the model but assume you’re talking about that new square? Love the heart rate monitor addition but most of their smartwatch connectivity stuff in the rest of the lineup is a bit clunky. Haven’t tried it yet personally but it probably doesn’t hold its own as a legit smartwatch compared to an Apple Watch or something.
Yeah the price tag is crazy, I knew about it because I saw Unbox Therapy’s review about it. I’d probably go for the Apple Watch to stay in the Apple ecosystem. I don’t know much about Garmin but their smart watches have an insane battery life.
Solid point! Not the same drop resistance/durability, but garmin brings some things to the table that G-SHOCK doesn’t. Been on the fence about getting one for some time myself, have you been happy with the choice?
Agree about the Garmin Instinct. I have the original because I got it at a great price since they were clearing them out for the 2. The GI 2 Solar would be my choice now. Supposedly never needs charging (depends on GPS usage) and comes with a lot of hiking features which I use.
The piece of gear that changed my travel tech pouch for better was the Mogics Super Bagel. It combos a power strip, charger, extension cord, all in one considerable small package. Looking at the flash light you had there, do you have any recommendations as to what is the best flashlight/tool to hang form the classic Bellroy backpack loop? It seems like only my hero clip fits there, but kinda disrupts the clean lines.
That super bagel seems really cool! Definitely making a note to check it out sometime. I’d probably stick with something really small for a backpack loop, maybe the Nitecore tini2? It’s barely the size of a quarter and pretty capable for such a small size.
It’s a Casio databank. Got it as a gift from my wife, I’m a bit obsessed with these vintage type of designs. Here’s a link if you’re interested: amzn.to/3XKLbnz

EDC people definitely aren’t related to minimalists, typically different crowds. Fresh take though, I usually get people complaining about my lack of weapons and useless fidget items.

Chunky pen looks like a fun fidget - and nice good Casio to blend w the environment setting.

I use the gerber without the ring, as a money clip.

Didn’t know about that one! Looks interesting but at $600 I’d probably grab a Garmin or Apple Watch if I wanted a smart watch in that price range.

Garmin instinct 2 is a decent competitor for the g shock, actually. I was torn between the two and ended up going south the garmin.
