I have the new 27 model here and the older 24 model. The 27 is an extraordinary piece of equipment. Improves on all aspects of the 24 touch. It has a high ticket price but it’s exceptional at what it does and speeds up workflow. Love it. I just liked the Wacom 24 touch older model but the 27 is something special 🙌.
When you look at the cost of art supplies a year, anywhere from $250 to $5,000, any tablet looks like a good deal depending on your use case. I personally tried a lot of other brands and keep settling on Wacom. I'm not justifying any kind of greed-flation and I haven't had to deal with Wacom warranty as my devices haven't failed, yet. One is over 10 years old.
I strongly recommend you to look at the xencelabs pen display 24; I bought this model and it's simply amazing for the price and quality (I'm a story artist in 3d animation). In addition, the driver and user interface are excellent and well thought out, intuitive. So, bye bye wacom, thank you for all these years but you no longer meet my professional expectations!
I can’t believe how Wacom have hiked their prices for these new tablets. I’ve been a commercial artist for 20 years and I would NEVER spend that amount of money for a tablet like this. My last Cintiq was a 16", Wacom seen to think it’s OK to hike the price by A THOUSAND POUNDS for ONE inch more screen real estate(17”). They must be having a laugh!!! 😂🤣
Is the support as good? Before I went Wacom I had a UGEE 2150 and while I could deal with the bulky design, it got to the point where it didn't seem to get any updates anymore, and if I wanted a replacement pen I had to order one from China. That was within a year and a half of buying one.
do you think that the size (17 inch) is prohibitive for a professional digital artist - illustrator? (I intend to give it as a gift to a friend who is a professional)
17 is probably good for just illustration. The bigger screens are more for software with a lot more windows and buttons- like 3D graphics. You could always just ask your friend what size sketchbooks or screens they prefer and why lol.
May seem overpriced compared to other brands but people seem to ignore these are 4k, 120hz, native 10-bit, up to 99% adobe RGB, pantone certified, multitouch screens which is indeed expensive and what other brands do not offer (at least not everything in one package). Sure they do add extra to the price because there's no direct competition yet. Other brands need to step up but at the same time they would then probably closely match Wacom prices while keeping lower production cost (lower quality) instead of being a match competition at lower prices. In the end customer pays anyway and Wacom has no reason to worry, same old story with any big brand. Stop buying then they'll have a reason to be worried.
"but people seem to ignore these are 4k, 120hz, native 10-bit, up to 99% adobe RGB, p" No they're not. Four thousand dollars for this basic tech is insane. An nVidia RTX 4090ti has far more modern tech in it at half the price. Maybe if it were a modern QLED or OLED panel... but it's not.
It is very expensive and honestly 17 inches with such a stand makes the portability more difficult... So a 24 cintiq pro could be a better choice...even better a xencelab 24 😅
The 27” works with a single USBC cable (included) ,that’s if your computer has USBC ports or Thunderbolt ports. As for the two new versions, I’d say they too will work with one USBC cable. However, if your computer doesn’t support USBC then there’s cables included for older computers! The supplied USBC cable is 2meters long, but I found that I needed 3meters as my Wacom isn’t adjacent to my computer. I therefore bought, an Apple Thunderbolt 4 cable at 3meters, it works great, of course it’s not cheap, but when you’ve bought one of these, why would you scrimp on the cable !?!?!?
@@mjphotographyhk8778 The real question is why are all manufacturers scrimping on included cables in the first place, especially for the price you have to pay 🤣 Every new generation of products they cut the cables by 5-20cm 😛
4 thousand dollars? They're leaving their lunch out for Apple to just come and take. Apple? Where are you? You could easily do a 17 inch panel that blows Wacom away.
To be honest it's overpriced as you can buy a Surface Studio 2 portable laptop for digital Painting for around the same price without being grounded to one location not to mention XP's 16inch Pen Tablet with their New 16k pressure for only around £529.99.
@IsaacBrown-kk7jx Out of curiosity, have you tested it, and what type of art do you do. I personally haven't myself as I only have up to 8192 levels of pressure, but l do notice when I switch back to 4096 as I do mostly lineart and am always having to adjust settings to match when I draw on Magma Online Drawing board because of the difference in pressure's. Also, when sketching, it's noticeable as the less pressure available, the less control you have for me anyway as I notice the details. Not forgetting Wacom prices art expensive as they seem to forget their no longer top pick for drawing devices considering not everyone can pay those price's and there is equally better aquivalents' available that perform just as good for half the price. I would say the only thing I noticed when using an XP drawing display was how tilt feels different. That's not to say I don't like Wacom as I have used their pen and display device's over the years, but as time went on,I switched to more affordable option's that do basically the same think.
@@Amaronduk the setting u have to do is probably about pressure curves and not because 4k pressure is limiting , in reality if u configured all pressures sens to your liking beyond like 250 sensi is actually indistinguishable
if you are professional this might be a good investment but for hobbyist too overpriced, you'll know you pay more on the brand other than product itself

Man you made Apple look like the budget option.

4000 dollars for a screen, congratulations Wacom, after 16 years I am probably moving to Huion devices.

It is overpriced. The market isn’t same as before. The other brands have good product as well. Only they don’t accept the circumstances.

Yes im thinking about how much these art products cost its absurd.

What about running After Effects on this????

for argonomic stand 499$ is a joke

Can i get one for free
I would always buy Wacom, the other cheaper brands have bad color accuracy even if they're calibrated, somewhere the price is always justified.

nah
No one actually needs 16k pressure sensitive, practically a gimmick

Do they still have annoyingly loud fans for that eye-watering price?
Most likely lol
But previous gen had an update so you can turn them off within drivers.
Yes
