Stay tuned for the acceleration test. In the mean time, let us know what you think about the grade we gave the X3 M. Do you agree with the score it got?
Can confirm. A soccer mom driving one of these effortlessly gapped me today in my tuned Focus RS. They're gonna embarrass a lot of bros out there without even trying to.
Its interesting. I bought an x3m non comp the other day and part of what pushed me toward it is how understated it is. I like the idea of rolling around in what people think is a regular x3 and having 475 hp.
I'm pissed at RUclips for not featuring one of your videos or helping them do better. It STILL boggles my mind after well over a year of watching that you dont have 200k views over video.
I don’t know man, it bothers me too. Maybe I did something to anger the RUclips gods somewhere along the line. I’m going to keep grinding regardless. This pandemic thing is making it tough, but I have enough content to get through April for now

Nice review. I just picked up an X3M, base model with similar options. I agree with some points, disagree with others. One the shift paddles are metal with a rubber backing for better feel. Plus my hands must be larger as I have no problem reaching them. I agree P for park should be on top the shifter. Oh and the car isn't just for soccer moms. Its for anyone that needs utility but wants something more than the M40i without going all the way and cost of the Comp. And I like the sporty conservative look.
I fell in love with your Z06. Rented a brand new Stingray I while in Vegas and almost lost control of it. Decided to get a new F90 M5 to be on the safe side with AWD. 😅👌✅
The X3M is a fantastic all-around enthusiast's family vehicle. Honestly, the X3 M40i is already more than enough unless you don't care about points on your license. 👍 I like the dual host format - similar to Everyday Driver. One critique I will offer is I think the score for handling/ride was unfairly low because it's not the vehicle's fault if the owner doesn't use it as intended. ✌🏼️ Edit: ride/suspension
Canal is where I always open up at night, perfect scenery. Looking into an X3M or RS5 sportback after my 440i. Really enjoyed the review, nice content as always.
@@SpeedLabsMotorEnvy yea, delay after delay man, I was supposed to get it this week, now, who knows! might cancel if I can and get a ZL1 1LE instead, or do something else entirely

I see you're trying out the new review method with two hosts. Interesting, much like Straight Pipes or Throttle House. I guess that's how you get 20 minutes of content out of a car.
Love the format and content. I would also like to see some head to head with chapter cars. BRZ vs Miata, WRX vs Focus RS, M3 vs RS5. Do the numbers and driver feel and pick a numbers winner and which one you would buy.
It is a lovely car with great review. The X3 M got power, comfort, luxury, space, fun to drive and savings in gas. I recommend leasing a BMW instead of buying one.
Sean Patel how do you guys get your cars? I assume it’s more difficult to get press cars because of your size. I LOVE the channel tho!! Some of the greatest car content I’ve seen😍
Alright I spent 30 minutes writing an essay and POOF it’s gone. Yeah no I’m not doing that again 😂😂😂 I’m sorry, but I promise I watched the whole thing
Who's the gentleman doing the review with you? He was great. So were you. Both awesome. In fact you guys seemed very natural and in your elements. Maybe do more reviews together in the future? One thing I did want to point out is you kept asking him what score he would give but then you end up going with your own score lol
Paddles on the wheel and not the column receive zero points and there should be no discussion about that point. The best paddles in the "cheapest" car award goes to the Infiniti Q50 Red Sport. On the column, made of metal and feel like they belong in the GT-R. You should revisit that score as those paddles really are pretty awful when compared to many others at a much lower cost. Overall a great review.
Thanks for the comment. I heard the Q50RS paddles are different but in Q60 Red Sport that I drove, the paddles were just little black plastic tabs, much like something you would find in a VW Jetta. Keep in mind that the score is relative to it's class, so far the best paddles in this class (that I've driven) are in the Stelvio QV with Sean's SVR coming in second.
Late to the game this week but it was worth it. Great in depth review and I do believe that having the two of you doing the scoring is a great way to show impartiality. One note, there was too much comparison from Sean with his Jaguar. Not that it's a bad thing but because it's a similar vehicle to what he's driving but the downside of it is that this X3 gets compared to a daily driver while other cars you have driven get compared to the others. While you always had a comparative to your C7 with the other sports car you drove, and you mentioned it while testing the cars, you also compared each one to the other cars you tried which blends in a bit more. Not sure I'm making sense in the way I explain it, please reach out to me and I can try to make it even muddier 🤣 and it's nothing to take away from the high quality of the video either but since this is a new format, I figured I'd mention it. Can't wait for the acceleration test!
No worries Francois, always appreciate the comments even if they are a few days behind. I agree and I think it makes the scoring a little more dynamic because I come from a track/racing perspective whereas Sean comes more from a street/real world driving perspective. Having both gives it a good mixture. Good suggestion on the comparison aspect, and it makes complete sense. I’ll keep that in mind when we do future in depth reviews. What social media platform do you generally prefer?
@@SpeedLabsMotorEnvy seeing as I interact with social media platforms for work all day, I am not a big user of them. I would say Facebook is the one I use the most to communicate because of Messenger. Other than that, I use Instagram and a bit of Twitter for work purposes only.
Finally a new BMW without digital mirrors / cameras. I get it, its more aerodynamic but it looks ugly. By the way, have you ever thought about reviewing some budget cars? Not to often but maybe sometimes?
I have, Sean did the E-Golf which ended up being our least popular video. But I still want to visit some budget performance cars like a Camry TRD or Subaru.
I think there’s a 2020 Cayenne Turbo in the lineup that’s waiting to be reviewed. We drove the Velar SVR right before buying this car. If the Range Rovers leased a little better, we’d be having a different video for sure.

Notnmpressed with this at all. Why would you test the base and not the Comp. Plus the car is epic. I’ve had M5’s, Macan Turbo, X5M and also an RS6. This is my favourite car as it does everything brilliantly. In the UK we get 510bhp for the Comp and I had mine dyno’d at 536bhp. I tested a RR Sport SVR and hated it. Also, when I had my run in service done the engine was much more responsive. Here your car doesn’t have enough mileage for the run in service. Anyway, I believe you’ve sold this car short for what it is.
You‘re right about the noise inside. A lot of bmw‘s have ASD artificial sound design. You can even change it to the sound of other models for exp a rolls royce - ha it turbed off in our F87 m2. Huge difference. Worst ASD is the one in the m2 comp imo. ruclips.net/video/7UK4uLyVsXQ/видео.html About the burble, all artificial. In german schubabschaltung.
