Is this the most fun you can have in the woods? I was lucky enough to experience a co-drive with Hyundai rally pro Hayden Paddon and it was one of the best driving experiences of my life!

Hands down! Rally Drivers are the best out of all the Racing Drivers.
Seen Through Haggis I disagree sir. I think that the supercar owners that floor it in a straight line from stoplight to stoplight in busy London streets are the best drivers.

I have seen these cars in person this year in Poland and I will never forget it. Our brain just doesn’t get how the hell they carry so much speed on loose surface. I am F1 fanatic but I am telling you, if you want to see something incredible go see WRC event

It was a sublime feeling practically floating across a surface t hat was terrible combined with tackling corners with the skills of a guy like Hayden - it was magic to witness!

Agreed, combo of speed, many different road surfaces all on the same stage at times and the fact you need to listen and trust your co drivers pace notes is crazy.
Rally drivers are the simply the best drivers in the world. I have taken my car on a special stage hill climb in the forest during the daytime, then watched the rally drivers carve it up at full throttle, at night with only their headlights paving the way in near pitch black darkness. It takes serious balls and self belief to do what they do. Much respect.
That must have been an absolutely insane experience.
I have said that for Years and i will keep saying it forever :
Rally Drivers are by far the *best* Drivers of them all, covering all Motorsports.
They have turned the ( sorry for my english, i`m German ) "unstable driving condition" into an *Art* .
The way they are able to control these Cars and be *very* fast even on wet gravel is beyond any imagination of a normal Driver on Tarmac.

A certain thrill seeker friend of mine who had "done it all" in his lifetime stated to me once that being a rally car co-pilot was the most thrilling experience of all. I must say, I can certainly agree with that!

Rallying is by far the best motorsport to watch in person, you can’t beat been stood in a forest out in the sticks and listening to the sound of a rally car coming through the trees in the distance.

@Toni Sukles & @ Wedgeman` it's more a reference too James driving a Renault F1 car that Kimi Räikkönen raced and won in and Kimi took time out of F1 to do Rally driving, plus getting Kimi to laugh is natural next step but may prove to be the hardest for James :). Off course there is still much to do, like rocket cars, bouncing Cadillac etc, etc :D

I'm always in awe of rally drivers too and some ways alot harder than a track especially 120 mph in a car versus a tree wont end well and will hurt even with all the proper kit and roll cage. Amazing skill
A brilliant video again thanks! I have been watching rally cars for a long time, I remember standing in the freezing cold in wales to see the Group B cars, but I have never really appreciated the speed involved more than in those video clips from the screen mounted camera here. Stunning stuff.
Rallying doesn't get nearly enough exposure nowadays genuinely the most exciting form of motorsport love your work sir.

James what has your life become, 1 week driving a F1 car to the next in a WRC. Absolutely crazy! Always knew from the start this channel would be the greatest out there
James has earned a place up there as one of the top three automotive RUclipsrs ( Personally think this one is the best ). But, how in the world is this channel still under half a mill subs? At the very least it should be 750K you guys agree?
although F1 is mental and requires alot of skill i believe rally is so much harder and alot more interesting in my opinion , quality video mate as always , much love

intense driving, great camera angles & editing - you have outdone yourself in this one sir 10/10
To be honest I am really impressed by the i30N. Drove it few days ago. And man it can be a weapon. The ESP in N Mode comes in really late but effective. And the whole experience is so modern but sporty. The mechanical grip with the i30N custom 19 inch Pirelli PZero tires is really enormous. I think it is comparable to a Porsche 718 which also surprised me with the grip level - although it is was the first time driving a Porsche and its few months back.
A bit too much torque steering which is also quite funny on the other hand. It just shows you need 2 hands driving that thing. In normal or Eco Mode it is just so relaxed and like any other car. I even managed 7,8l/100km which is about 36,2mpg for quite some time incl. some over taking and shorter quick accelerations.

Remember though wrc is for the boys Group B rallying was for the men (sorry i grew up with the most bonkers rally cars ever metro 6R4's ford RS200 etc)

Nah it's not that it doesn't get respect, those who know about it respect the shit out these psychos, most people just don't know about it. Shame really, with our amazing terrain/landscapes the sport would be ideal.
I love WRC. Back when the Speed channel here in the US used to carry it live I would make sure to not miss any of it. My opinion WRC drivers are the most skilled drivers in the world.
They get excited of NASCAR not just for the left turns but the brawls and fights thinking it is "sportsmanship."

Such a shame rallying has lost its wider appeal.. special drivers in special cars. The current champion (seb ogier) is a 5 times wrc champion and is relatively unknown i would say. Shame
