Totally. He used a law mower through a synthesizer at one point in a song from 2016's soundtrack. He definitely thinks outside the box. I still can't believe Nature Gaganbaigal has passed away last year (the mongolian singer). He was a huge musician, very creative and energetic. For those who don't know him, just listen to folk/trash metal band Tengger Cavalry. I assure you some badassery!
i was shocked to find out here. i've been listening to Tengger Cavalry and waiting for them to hopefully do a big European tour so i can see them, now i feel like shit. gone but not forgotten, we still have his awesome music

Uses a 9 string guitar and delivers the most brutal and heavy metal OST in game history. Brilliant.
@Luke F No it was Id. Initially they didn't want guitars, but in the process of making the soundtrack they changed their mind.

*glares and slowly pulls out super shotgun*
@@MrMegaMetroid this is called prog metal, not Dubstep or whatever you interpret into it
@@fuckinantipope5511 i never said its dubstep. I said It uses electronic and dubstep elements like synth lines and sine waves rather than actual instruments like quitars. He did put some in but not alot. If you watch his breakdown on the gdc (fantastic watch) he talks about it, and also how the game would feel like a joke if they used guitars because metal in itself doesnt have that much of a serious reputation in the context they want to use it. If prog megal doesnt use many instruments then we have no argument. You just agreed to what i said and gave it a name. Cause i didnt know what genre this is. Most sounds of this are sampled from games or are purely electronic.
*sneaks in a few bass guitars to rebel even more*
Y'know, Mick totally could've just one offed this round and repeated what he did for doom 2016 but with a little more intensity, or a little more variety.. but no. He's pushing the envelope a second time so the soundtrack feels fresh and divergent from it's predecessor. Always good to see a conposer like testing his limits with every project.
I'm still astonished that the devs told him 'no metal' all those years ago. Hilarious to see how far that went!
