Scenario Analysis in Power BI - Using What If Parameters

  • If you work as an Analyst, you probably already know how crucial it is to create a scenario analysis for your teammates. It allows them to manipulate historical data and set up different business cases based on different criteria.
    While Power BI is a data visualization tool, it provides a built-in option to quickly pick up user's input and use that value in a forecast measure.
    In this video, we are going to cover the basics, see what is generated when you add a What If a parameter, talk about usage, and finally explore two real-life examples.
