      Clean the tank, fuel lines, and carb again. Make sure jets are clean and float isn't sticking open or closed. If snorkeled or modified it will need the carb jetted.

      If it won't Upshift with the footshift then you probably broke your shift fork. You will have to do a little research and Google some things and I'm sure you will figure it out. It can only be a couple things. Process of elimination

      Carb. Possibly the float. Clean the carb really well. Take filter off and see if it still does it then. Put the old stuff back on if it worked before you changed stuff. Then replace 1 thing at a time.

    Have you replaced the fuel lines? Ethanol gas will deteriorate the lines and they will colapse if the vent is clogged. The gas cap vent my be clogged from being sunk, sounds like a vapor locking issue.

  • @lonestarangler8407

    I noticed that when you turned it back on you had to pull the choke, then it starts. Choke allows more gas in at start correct? So do you think at a high rate of speed (which requires more air and fuel) you're lacking some fuel on the top end? If you need to pull the choke to restart, to me, it seems like your float bowl might be empty when you immediately try to restart it. Try running it till it dies (again) and when it shuts off Dont automatically try to restart it, let your float bowl fill up (maybe 30sec - 1min), then try restarting with no choke. Might wanna pull the petcock to see if the screen is alil clogged which might affect flow rate from the tank to the carb. idk just spitting out ideas lol!

      I changed jetting and put k&n filter on it and seems to be better now. Sending it as it is now.

      @@alphapackoffroad Jetting should allow more fuel. And really, how often is your customer gonna run at that speed for that long?! lol!

      @@lonestarangler8407 exactly what I am looking at it like. I got it running as good as its gonna get with what I had to work with. Just wanted it to be 100% given the amount of work that has gone into it. If I knew everything that had been done to it before I got into it things would have gone a lot easier with it for sure. It's as good as its gonna get I do believe!

    I've got a 2007 Honda Foreman and I still have not heard this thing run. It was stolen by some kids and I'm trying to help the lady out. Your idle seems way to low though. Did you adjust the pilot jet??? Now I will know how to shift though. I think that Yamaha that I had worked on was easier than this honda....gtrrrr

  • @NelsonCreekCustoms

    What size snorkel pipe is that 2in would help it? If your looking to get it jetted right get the hmf jet kit for it, Pull the petcock and make sure there's good gas flow it's acting like the bowl is empty

    • @NelsonCreekCustoms
      @NelsonCreekCustoms 4 года назад

      I meant pull the gas line off and be sure there's good flow from the petcock

    • @alphapackoffroad
      @alphapackoffroad  4 года назад +2

      There is good flow. I took carb pre filter out of it and it's doing better now. Changed stock air filter out with the k&n filter it came with and rejetted it. It's doing better than it was for sure. But your right about it acting like it was emptying the bowl. That's what I was thinking also.

      Sounds like your main jet is clogged up. Try cleaning the carb really good and use a brush on all the jet openings.

    u may need a tuner for that exhaust since its aftermarket it might be runnin lean
