Awesome job on the Rubicon & wished my 01 still looked that good & it’s rusting up falling apart from pushing snow but it’s still going. As for the D1 & D2 goes. I never used D2 again after I heard Honda had to replace a bunch of transmissions because it said in the manual to use D2 for torque like for towing. I used to use D2 for towing but I lucked out & had it in low while using D2. It’s in high that ruined them in D2 when you tow. When you put it in low it doesn’t matter if your in D1 or D2 because it cancels them both out & it’s in Low. The 03 manual says to use D2 on slick surfaces.
@@KaiDenardo I’ve topped out at 50mph. I wished I never plowed snow with it because all the salt they put on the roads. I’ve welded patches to the frame. Now my display screen stopped working & I replaced the rectifier from what I heared but that didn’t fix it. If I take a fuse out & put back in with key on the display comes back until I turn it off. I’ve heard others having this issue & one person said the ground from rectifier wasn’t grounding out. I’ll have to check the conditions.
@@KaiDenardo It’s alright but not a lot of thrills. It’s a great work horse & I love the engine braking. I only use the brakes to come to a complete stop & still have the original rear brake.
I have a 2002 4x4 all the time that I bought in 2018. I use it for yard and firewood work only. I replaced the rear axle and differential this year. I always use d2 with no load and d1 low for wood work. After the axle/diff. repair I put it in esp ( thumb 5 speed ) and it topped out at 48mph. Then the same day the carburetor started acting up so I parked it in the repair building and bought a new ( china ) carburetor for it. I just have not installed it yet.
Great job and well worth it
What spray paint did u use
