I have one of these and the engine needs to be replaced (cracked the block) just wondering if you could recommend a shop that sells either new or qualiry used motors??
i have a honda trx 70cc from the 80's and that thing will run a solid 36 hours on 1 gallon of gas! it is amazing! i am not bullshitting one bit either. if you know nhow to ride it,70 cc's can and will take you almost everywhere. the 2 main places i get stuck is in the sand dunes and i get high-centered on rocks,but that is what my 250 is for :D
@Derek130b Not bad on gas but it has a rather small tank. Not bad in snow but would be better with dif lock. Depends on the size of the tires. I wouldn't go over 26". Plus, more more aggressive the tires the more the front limited slip differential slips.
this would be my first replacement for my little bayou 250, but i want a gear drive transmission. belts are too expencive and a hydraulic transmission is too hard to maintain and a part can just randomly fail,leaving you stranded. i don't want water cooled or injected i want as simple as possible. gear drive,carborated air cooled atv that is extreamly reliable. my little bayou will last for a long time to come,but do you have any recommendations for a decent replacement?
How long? 100 miles? more? Less? Any of the smaller Japanese ATVs get great fuel economy. Even some of the larger machines get well over 100 miles to a tank.
i would erfer a solid axle anyway,an irs is just asking for more problems. and of you put any more than 50 pounds of toughweight on it the headlights are pointing straight up!
i don;t know why anone would change tire size. honda paid a shitload of money to build that atv to match thoes tires. i don't care what you think is going to happen. bigger tires= loss of power,and probably lower fuel milege. it gains speed,but you put exess wear and tear on the whole machine. smaller tires=more torq and pulling power,but your speed drops like a rock and you get shit fuel milege. just get the stock tire size guys!

i have a bayou 250. if you dump the clutch in second gear, you can get that thing 0-40 in about 3 seconds. im sure if it had good tires even better!

so is it like a random pick but when you read a color you dont like you throw it away and keep picking?
the trans on these are the best, but low heavy work they get hot quick

@parkerparkerm A little of both actually.
im looking for a atv that can go on long trips without refueling, what would you recomend?
@Derek130b Some newer Hondas have IRS.
do you guys chose the color or just get a random color?
@Rensiej This one without hesitation!

Actualy i have one of these beatiful. :3
i got a 04 rubicon 500 and 97 500 sportsman polaris and my polaris aint crap when its against my honda
i would erfer a solid axle anyway,an irs is just asking for more problems. and of you put any more than 50 pounds of toughweight on it the headlights are pointing straight up!
you guys should have a video testing the 02 rubicon lol

just because it is more designed for a load and durability than comfort.
@Derek130b way more durable. virtually impossible to break an axle.
@parkerparkerm You lost me!
@501video501 Unfortunately it's what pays for the videos.....
hah nice but yea, that would be nice, not much different tha nthe other rubicons though, but i like mine... unkillable lol
@parkerparkerm Don't laugh - it might happen;-)
