I can't stress enough on following torque specs on the water pump. I had one of my water pump bolts back out on a Type R build I did and was rubbing against the timing belt without me even knowing. Chewed right through it and I luckily jumped time without bending any valves but something happened to where that car never ran the same and still to this day have no clue. Slight pop and misfire under a load...more than likely I'm off a tooth when I retimed it, it was 4am

The "keyway" is the slot. Not the piece that goes into it. The piece of steel (keysteel) that goes into the slot is called a key.
