@@e.k.d6181 Sikhs keep long unshorn hair for 2 reasons : 1) We believe keeping long hair as symbol of respect for the perfection of God's / nature's creation. Has nature given us any body part that is not necessary ? so why to cut hair and change nature's design 🙂 If they are meant to grow let them grow🙂 also after a certain length they automatically stop growing hehe.. 2) Guru Gobind Singh ji while fighting Mughal invaders in India formed Khalsa army to fight back them. He gave sikhs a unique identity & instructed those who will follow the Khalsa will never cut their hair or get forcefully converted to Islam and will always fight the injustice. So Sikhs chose death over getting their hair cuts or getting converted. They always stood against the forceful conversion. Now times have changed and many will say it makes no sense to keep hair for second reason but I still go by the first reason and don't cut them and I love them🙂

When I was 15 I cut my hair for the first time in 6-7 years. I thought my hair didn't weigh much but once it was cut off I DEFINITELY felt a weight difference! I cut off over 3.5 feet! My head felt soooooo light! It was the oddest thing! You really don't realize how heavy it is until it comes off.
Dhai Ahmed I'm in my mid twenties now and just 2 or 3 years ago I noticed that my hair was thinning out. My hair started to fall out more and more and even though I had long hair, it was so very thin. I started on birth control pills and that's really helped to balance out my hormones. My hair's gotten noticeably thicker since I started the pill. Maybe its just your hormones that's causing your hair thinning. Talk to your doctor.
I did this too but when I was 11, I am now 16 and havent cut it since (it is back to my hips) but since the lop I can definitely feel the weight of it now
Elvi Meow Don't do it! I cut my hair really short. Now it takes forever growing back and I never got as long hair as before. Also if you get a wrong hair stylist who cuts your hair wrong it's over! Yup long hair sometimes I step on my own hair while it is open but on the plus side I have this fan which I stand in front which makes me feel like Pocahontas
Lice aint no problem if u have straight hair and people who does ur hair. Here in bangladesh people actually pick the lice out one by one. Plus there are herbal remedies for lice. In ancient China, it is believed that your hair and body is a gift your parents gave you when you were born. It it is something that should be taken care of and cutting it is considered unfilial. Only those who became monks cut their hair off because they now seek the life of an ascetic and symbolizes them no longer being connected to the material world. Both men and women kept their hair long till 1619 when the Qing Dynasty forced all men wear a queue. Around 1911, revolutions led to a change in hairstyle overnight and a year later, no one wore the queue anymore.

The fact that we can't get that kind of hair are
We live in big cities
Our lifestyle doesn't support these techniques.... we use shampoos and conditioner a lot, that's purely chemical...lots of fast food.. their bun and tied hair fashion won't look good on our clothes.... dont take it that seriously it's their tradition we have different one...hit like and move on... i had 1.5 meter long hair... because of oiling regularly and keeping tied into braids all day untill age 16 now Im 20 and i have 1/2 meter long but not thick hair...it's all about care and food as we grew we spoil our lives
the only Aisha that is very interesting sister.but i think this also depend on where are you from.india,Pakistan for example .I wonder what kind of oil do you use?

@Kevin Galaise oh yes I am :)

@@e.k.d6181 Sikhs keep long unshorn hair for 2 reasons :
1) We believe keeping long hair as symbol of respect for the perfection of God's / nature's creation.
Now times have changed and many will say it makes no sense to keep hair for second reason but I still go by the first reason and don't cut them and I love them🙂
Their hair is so beautiful, but Just imagine not being able to cut your hair!!! It's interesting how they bunch up their hair and reattach their old hair too.😱

Look up fermented rice water. I saw a documentary about them years ago and tried it for a while but it was too much hassle I didn't keep up..
Rice water
Unfortunately, I think the ultimate recipe, rice water notwithstanding, is to be Asian. I'm southern Italian, and I can't grow it any further than mid-thigh. :-(

Couldn’t agree more :))
What's your secret☹️ i suffer from hair loss and my hair is so thin i want to thicken it.
I did this too but when I was 11, I am now 16 and havent cut it since (it is back to my hips) but since the lop I can definitely feel the weight of it now
My hair had been butt length for almost 3 years... and I’m thinking of a pixie cut.
Elvi Meow go for it!!! I did it in August and it was amazing! It’s grown out since then and I’m cutting it again on Monday
if you're not sure, go for a bob first!!
Elvi Meow DO NOT DO IT
Elvi Meow Don't do it! I cut my hair really short. Now it takes forever growing back and I never got as long hair as before. Also if you get a wrong hair stylist who cuts your hair wrong it's over! My hair was strong and straight. The stylist cut it weird and was rough with it. My hair is now weak and wavy
Elvi Meow Sameee somedays I wana go super short some days I want my hair to stay long ..,so I’ve brought a short wig instead haha.

@@ceilingeye I strongly disagree. I've had waistlength hair, and I cut it up to my collarbone this year because it was so annoying and took so long to wash and it was heavy. (My hair is thick and curly, as well)
Rama Mohamed our hair textures might be different! Ik that having very tight curls makes it more dense.

@@fish7860 checking out the sceneries. I believe the place I went to was called Long Jing terrace. Full of tea plantations.
And of course seeing the rapunzels. Saw none under the age of mid 20s though. Maybe because it was daytime and the younger ones went to school.
Interesting thing was that the houses of the ladies were all elevated from the ground and made purely out if wood. Don't recall seeing electricity. They cooked using firewood.

How I remembered my hair after I had cut it:
😂😂😂
I remember chinese drama where men have long hair,,it there culture i guess to have long hair.very beautiful
I want to do there hair so badly!!!!!🙌
