If ur planning on a ringneck you should know they scream louder than cockatiel
I have ringneck i trained it to say hey and that was my biggest mistake it shouts all night saying hey
@@saulgoodman8390 😂😂😂
My Ringneck is super quiet, only ever screens if I leave the room and close the door behind me but if I give her a snow pea before I leave the room she will stay quiet because she is distracted enough and I guess to her giving her that before leaving the room means I will be back shortly. Same as if I leave my phone in the room or bring one of her food or water bowls out because then she knows I will be back. The rest of the time she is really quiet, she quietly chatters to herself a bit when playing and growls and hisses at toys but is overall really quiet. A lot of the time my housemates even forget that there is a bird in the house because they don’t hear her, they only remember when they see me preparing food for her or when I bring her out of my room. Most of the time she is also just free in my room, she’s the only animal in the house so I could bring her out of my room more often but my roommates aren’t very good with birds so I don’t really want them harassing her and they normally leave the front door open. Anyway overall Skye is an adorable and very very quiet bird. She’s also super cuddly and constantly begs for kisses from me but is terrified of anyone else because no one else puts in the time to gain her trust.
@@gennasharples9409 how much time do u spend with her? Ig she's depressed you might wanna see a vet for antidepressant meds

Here in India one can commonly see them in the wild
Also, they are illegal to be kept as pets in India as to protect the Indian wildlife.
It is illegal but not these pet birds no types of pet birds can survive in the wild they are pets please understand.
Colored ones are now mostly mutated and can't live in the wild. But wild ones are non mutated.
My mother used to own two when she was in college (back in India)
@TaeChWiTa same
But.... I am having one in my house
I always see a Indian ringneck parrot in front of my house they are sooo adorable 🥰 I can see them in the morning and I’m the evening. 💜💙
When my father was a kid he always wanted an Indian Ringneck. He never got one, but now he helps me TA,e care of an adorable cockatiel when I’m at school C:
I’m also in school but with my living arrangements I don’t have anyone to look after my Ringneck so I just spend all of my free time with her, do homework and assignments after she goes to bed, clean up while she’s playing or on weekends, let her just stay in my room while I’m at school so she has more space and more to do than if she was in her cage. She is honestly never really in her cage I mean, she plays in it sometimes when her favourite toys are in there or she just wants to be on a certain perch but she’s never locked in her cage. My bedroom is bird safe like when I leave in the morning I put all cords and other potential hazards away and as soon as I get home I just go straight to cuddle time. She spends most of her time on the curtain rod or the toys and swings hanging from it. She sleeps on one of the swings hanging from the curtain rod which is super cute

From my experience, it can take years before birds get cuddly. However, older ones can want constant petting.
I’ve been fascinated with Indian ringnecks for quite a while, wanting on myself ever since I discovered them. It’s interesting to know these facts I’ve never known myself. Thank you for making this

Awww Tesla 🥰
I love pets and roblox too!
It is important to note, especially if you want them to have that beautiful ringed look, that ONLY the males acquire the fully developed rings. The females might get one, but it will be far harder to see the coloring. The one I rescued is an albino and female. Pretty rare to find one like her from what we've been told. It is also highly important to check with your local jurisdictions regarding captivity laws and if your area permits ownership of that species, regardless of which breed you get.
That dinosaur in the title got me 💀💀💀

@@annalisa14 They’re believed to have escaped from zoos, homes, exhibitions or to have migrated from their natural habitat, they managed to adapt and reproduce so those that you see now are actually born in the wild.

The natural bright green Indian Ring neck parrot can be found in large numbers in my country of Bangladesh 🇧🇩 😀 😄. I always see hundreds of them in flocks when I go to my house's roof. It seems that
the wild Indian Ring neck parrot has quite adapted themselves in urban areas. They are thriving.
Is Tesla a male or female?
By the way, Tesla looks soo cute ❤️
I am waiting to see if "he" gets ring when he turns 16 months 😅 if the ring stays pale, it's a female, if it becomes black, then Tesla is a HE

Same with the ring, only males have that ring around their neck
I loved my little Ringo. He was very nice and gentle. I never clipped my birds wings. I could call him and he would fly to me, even in the yard.
Sad
I really want one but I am unsure if I would be able to spend enough time with it to not get bored or lonely... I really would hate to see such a beautiful and sweet bird plucking its own feathers because I am too busy going to work. ;;-;;
They are everywhere in cologne, Germany!

The main, bright green color is illegal to keep as a pet in my country

№14. Beginning sometime around 2012, it was noticed by farmers under contract to the Indian Government, that their poppy fields were being 'raided' by Ringnecks. They developed tactics which allowed them to select the ripest pods, at peak harvest time, and carry them back to area roost locations, where many overdosed on the raw opium inside the pods, and fell "stoned" from their perch.
I have the green one and I love him so muchhhh and he loves me too he is not a pet or something he is a human for me I spend a lot of time with my parrot love you my muchhi
Hi there! I’m worrying about my budgie recently, on his left wing around 1-4 of his secondary feathers look to be frayed? I’m not sure how this has happened as he hasn’t had any incidents that could have damaged his wing. I thought it was moulting at first but it has gotten worse and has been like that for 2 months. He seems to have a little bit of trouble flying but he still chooses to fly and do laps around my room as usual, he sometimes lifts his wing up for a few seconds and I’m worried he is in pain! I don’t know of any avian vets around my area and I cannot check myself as he hates being touched or grabbed. Can anyone give me advise on what to do or what’s happening/happened?
Edit: He is fine in his behaviour and personality and he still eats and drinks as normal.
PBFD? Maybe? Research it, it’s a beak and feather disease which is quite common
best case is that he just slept a funny way and now they're "crimped"
If you do you smaller birds with an Indian rindneck I would recommend keeping a close eye on them even if there not aggressive just to be safe and make sure they don’t hurt each other
