The goddess that died was named Etro she is the goddess of chaos orphan wanted to kill to begin with and bring about chaos onto the planet like you see in the clip above. It wasn't done the way the bad guys wanted it to be done but it got done with good old fashion misunderstanding.

To all those who don't understand, Lightning is not the goddess. Rather, she had been put into an eternal sleep. (Spoiler alert!) She had a mission and that was to make everything better, to save the souls of the innocent and to prevent the world from collapsing. That is to all to know in the Requiem of Goddess (DLC) and in Lightning Returns which is also the third and last part of this sequel.

I agree... the concept of the first and second game are very different. I wonder how they will end it.

At that time, the production crew said that they were influenced by Korean dramas, but looking at the directing, it doesn't seem like empty words.
I think that's how the third (and hopefully final) game will probably be played as well. The only way to make it challenging is to do it without leveling yourself up.

True, after a while you get bored and end up mashing to get the fights over with normal enemies. As much as I tried to avoid that I found myself just pressing the auto command to win.
This ending could only mean one thing: Another sequel will be played. Yey! Honestly, this ending is saddening. We're all fooled, even I forgot that quote. Oh god. Caius knew it all along, this is what he wanted. A chaos. And now, the fate of the world all lies to the hands of Lightning.
Lie down. Try not to cry. Cry a lot.
I mean, couldn't Noel have just pulled the sword away by cutting Caius's hands?

I meant the stuck in corridors has been put to areas to explore with people to interact with, I personally liked the gameplay but you dont have to use auto attack I personally stuck with put in commands myself to not make it easier. I know what you mean though, should have just removed it entirely.
Honestly, it doesn't make that much of a difference. The only thing I can think of right now is that you can use the elemental spells for weaknesses if you know them before you scan the enemy. Other than that...

I just find it odd how they end the first game and when you play the 2 game it turn's out every thing you seen in the ending of the first was wrong.

no she's not did you watch the dlc the true final battle took place in Valhalla Sarah died lightning fought Caius in Valhalla to save Sarah but she lost her soul in time so light give up because it was her fault and became a crystal on etro throne...to be continued

And in the end nothing changed, Good game, certainly getting back to how it should be but the story wasnt as good as it should have been.
