Hey! Question for you! Have you ever accepted Jesus as your personal savior from your sins? Please let me explain real quick... We have all sinned. Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Our sins have a penalty. That penalty is hell. Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death..." Because of our sin, when we die, hell is our eternal destiny. But here is the good news, the verse does not stop there. It continues "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:8 says "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." We have all sinned and we deserve to go to hell, but God sent His son, Jesus, to die for our sins and pay the penalty we owe. Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ! God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to earth to die for our sins and pay the penalty for our sins! Jesus died for our sins, but He rose again from the dead and beat death! By accepting Jesus as your savior in faith, you can inherit eternal life in heaven! Repent of your sins and place your faith in Jesus Christ today! Place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! Call out to Jesus today and ask Him to forgive your sins and save your soul! Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
really good stuff! just make sure you keep from turning your wrists over when going to the outer drums and keeping your stick beads in the correct zone to get the best sound. Also make sure to evenly space the sextuplets in the solo to get the a cleaner feel. other than that amazing!
I used to think people were weird if they were in band, now being a senior every time I see one of these videos I just think to my self how this can set someone up for success as a serious percussionist and at that have the speed of flash when playing lol 💪🏻

Just be careful with your wrists when moving over the 3&4 you are turning them over a bit which makes your playing look a lot less clean. Other than that it looked great

@rojoeclipse94 basically the band director found out i was really good at marimba so I was really fortunate to be offered 3yrs before supposed to and was not due to shortage
You're doing amazingly, just some feedback, make sure to pay attention to the way you're holding the sticks, check your zoning too, you can never be too good at something!
I always think to myself "jig 2 is so overplayed" but then I remember it's the cadence that got me into playing tenors and even though it seems super easy to me now I should probably still give it some credit lol
Hi, I am not a drummer but my wish one day is to learn the percussions, and I seen enough videos to know that it was hard, you did great! I am saving up investments to buy drums and lessons, and don’t give up! :)
When I did this at a parade in high school I got held upside down while playing it and played it perfectly with not even a single stick click. Great job man! Try to get it with no clicks on the solo!
I’m also a band person, and every time I see the quint players do this, I think to myself “Damn, I bet these people learned the art of hibachi in their last life.”
Heyyy i’m a percussionist too! Aspiring to be in my high school drumline and I’ve been practicing, i’m already in my middle school’s top ensemble even tho i started last year :)
The only people who can play it at my school is the younger snare, and the bass drum sl(me), our tenor player doesn’t have the chops for it Edit: the 2 who can r music majors who are also the 2 best set players
@ultra9349 that cadence is so horrendously easy it's not funny. I feel bad if people in a drumline can't play it. I literally joined marching band my 9th grade year and played it within a month and now looking at college and dci stuff it's just elementary drumline requirements
I’m a percussionist and playing that is pretty easy all he is doing is just playing really fast he’s not got a good beat you should be attention to the snare drums not them because they have a good beat
Stop telling this kid he nailed it. It was a fun moment for him, but telling him he nailed it is going to give him a false sense of what's actually correct. The solo is way past his skill level, but I give him props for at least keeping up. My recommendation is to stay as involved and practice just as you are. Lots of talent with the little one, for sure.
