    Thanks for info Wayne. I watched part II first because of how it showed up. The sit shock seems to be working find for now but the trunk is letting me know it's about done. So I'll have a good idea on how each one gets replaced. It's a 21 RTL and we live it. Big change from 2 wheels but it was time. Thanks and hope to meet you on the road sometime soon.

      On my first Spyder, like yours, my trunk went first. This time, the trunk & seat shocks are neck 'n neck. Believe me, both will crap out on you. I really enjoy meeting Spyder ryders, I hope we do cross paths 😁👍

    I have been debating fixing the "trunk droop". Thank you for the video!

    • @SpyderWayne
      @SpyderWayne  8 месяцев назад

      Well, the trunk fix is pretty easy. The seat fix isn't too bad, but it's a little tricky.

    Great and easy to follow. Would this be the same procedure for a model year 2016?

    • @SpyderWayne
      @SpyderWayne  6 месяцев назад +1

      Since the Spyder RT went through a major re-design for the 2020 model year, I'm guessing that for the 2013 to 2019 Spyders, it will NOT be the same. My suggestion, if you are looking for a light bar for a 2016 Spyder RT, just make sure the description shows that the light bar will fit the 2016 model.

    After I watched this video. I said to myself “Maybe I’ll get lucky”…. Not!! Went to the gas station a couple of weeks ago. And I’ve got the flops…. That was one feature of my F3 I always liked, gas fill up out in the open. Cheers Wayne

    • @SpyderWayne
      @SpyderWayne  4 месяца назад

      Yeah, with the F3, you didn't have to deal with a droopy seat. The trunk lid shock upgrade is an easy fix. Thanks, Fraser 😁👍

    Thanks Wayne. I haven't noticed if I have this issue "yet". But it has prompted me to check it out when I take the cover off.

    • @SpyderWayne
      @SpyderWayne  8 месяцев назад

      When it does happen, the trunk lid is just more of an inconvenience of having to hold the lid with one hand while loading and unloading with the other hand. But when it happens to the seat, it is very annoying and frustrating to refuel the Spyder. On my first Spyder, both the trunk lid and seat shocks started weakening within 1 year, and both were totally useless within 2 years. I've had my new Spyder 8 months, and both were getting weak. I think it's a sure bet all Spyder RT''s will face this issue, but fortunately, the Show Chrome shocks are not expensive. On sale, I got both for $29.96 (US$) each.

    • @SpyderWayne
      @SpyderWayne  8 месяцев назад +1

      My first Spyder (2020) stayed up for almost a year. A few months later, it was as if the shock was missing. My current Spyder was starting to get weak. As you probably know, these upgraded shocks are a great fix at a reasonable cost. Thanks, Doyle 😁👍

    Wayne do you know if this droopiness is an issue with the newer F3's by chance?

    • @SpyderWayne
      @SpyderWayne  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, it affects the F3's (trunk lids) from 2020 & newer. As for the seat, I don't know, but I don't think so. The F3 seat is different than the RT seat, because the fuel cap is under the seat for the RT, but not the F3.
