@@razer-9964 Batman fans waited for decades to see The Batman which is a proper 'batman' movie compared to other movies and comic book accurate as the world's greatest detective and broken Bruce Wayne before his playboy days. The Dark Knight is about the Joker, Nolan Trilogy is well made and focuses on villains more. Personally in my opinion The Batman has more of Batman and less Bruce Wayne. This is my kind of movie. If Matt Reeves decides to make Bruce Wayne into a playboy which Bale already done, then Pattinson can pull it off, he is a brilliant actor.

But in my opinion the latest Batman movie felt really derivative of trendy tik tok depression with influences from pretty childish soundcloud icons like lil peep and xxxtentacion. Because of that i couldnt take it all that seriously. I could at the same time feel that it was a good movie, just not for me. The dark knight felt larger, grander, bigger and gave an overall new more grown up perspective on a superhero ultimately designed for children. But thats just my opinion.

How is The Batman movie "childish" SoundCloud icons and tik tok derivatives, you don't know what you are talking about. There is nothing mature about The Dark Knight. The dialogue is terrible, nobody knows what Christian Bale is saying in his Batman voice sounds like throat cancer. The Joker's "do you know how I got these scars" are lame stories and Alfred's story "some men wanna watch the world burn" is laughable. This grander, bolder story you are defending, what is The Joker's motive. He had four, first it was to rob the the mob bank (their is no honour among thieves), then to kill the Batman, then it was not to kill the Batman, then it was to corrupt Harvey Dent. The Joker's role is all over the place. The Dark Knight had no plot, it imitated some of Batman 1989 scene. Bravo Nolan!

Now quite frankly the concept of a superhero in general is not possible to acquaint with maturity, theres not a single rational thought that can lead to someone becoming a vigilante, Batman understands this but neglects it because hes broken, just like some kid with ADHD who decides to beat the school bully, hes not rational, hes not mature and hes not law-abiding because hes dumb, he doesnt understand real life, considering he isnt a part of it, comic book evil Gotham doesnt and Frankly coudlnt exist. For Batman to be in any way similar to a real world mature person would be kind of stupid, lets be clear he isnt in neither the dark knight nor the new batman a mentally or emotionally developed person. The same goes for both the Joker and any main pro-/antagonist in the movie, they dont have to be mature because theyre supposed to be part of a world where maturity is overruled by the good deeds of an individual, very American, not how it actually works but something americans love to write stories about, the traumatized nerd beats everyone evil into submission (so tik tok dark phonk Edit mode). Now for the dialogue, ive heard people say this before but more directed towards the sound mixing and volume, yes, the mix is way to loud. Now for the written lines, no they are not mature, yet again, they dont have to be. However, what I think youre talking about is actually the fact that they come off as rather corny, totally agree that a lot of stuff has aged badly, specifically some of the quotes. However, the backstory and and lore told in the lines are exactly what they should be. Fuck do you want Joker to be a taliban? Maybe batman could have a normal Voice so that people deffo wouldnt know hes the famous billionaire profile Bruce Wayne, whom which is supposed to be an opposite of batman to maintain his cover. They play a role, and because comics and superheroes are immature, nerdy, goofy and childish theyre allowed to be goofy, however in the new batman Bruce is supposed to be a weirdo because they decided to be self-referential and realistic and realisticly bruce is a weirdo, a kindergarten kid with a diagnose,. Hes a tik tok punk who because hes rich and autistically obsessed with martial arts and ninjas is gonna cut himself loose and be dangerous towards other dangerous people.
In conclusion, the only thing im trying to imply is that a superhero cannot not be corny. He cant be mature or rational, because superheroes arent real their fictional, and in the dark knight Nolan knows this and decides to be okay with that and further build upon the fictional corny superhero world Bruce lives in with large and Grand music, bassy explosions, corny one liners and daunting visuals, which if that doesnt hit your spot totally fine, it does for me. In the new Batman, Reeves wanted to treat Bruceman how he would be treated in the real world, as a fucking retard, who if you say it to his face will scare you and beat you up, a schizofrenic? No because then he woudlnt be a superhero, holy shit hes just some weird kid, but with the same capabilties as the real world fictional character ”Batman”. And this is something tik tok constantly adores, because tik tok kids are weirdos who want have the power to bring others to ”Justice”. See the simily? Its not good or bad im just not particularly fond of it. However for the dark knight it doesnt try to tell a story of our world it Tells the story of Gotham which is something were familiar with because it scares us and reminds us of how we saw the world as kids, it is allowed to be corny because its in a corny world and if it wasnt corny it would just be weird and schizofrenic.
