Speaking from personal experience, if you ever have the opportunity to train with professor Gustavo, take it. To this day one of my favorite instructors. Simple clearly, explained, highly detailed instruction. All killer, no filler.
I honestly cannot imagine him being 'very good'. He is not fast, not explosive, striking almost not existent so far. And maybe most importantly, I don't think he has a good takedown. Can't imagine he would be a better mma fighter than kron

Gordon ryan is deadily on the ground if ON TOP but when gets on the BOTTOM in (mma) his black belt can easily go to a WHITE BELT and rookie level when (punches) and elbows is coming down at you. It’s not the same obviously after being proved for so many years.
