    Thanks for the vid!
My 740 just threw code 212 at me.
    “Heated oxygen sensor fault”
My turbo is leaking so maybe it’s burning off into the exhaust manifold and giving the sensor a bad reading?
Either way I had this code 6 months ago, cleared it and took this long for it to come back. I’m going to replace my turbo oil drain line seal and gasket and hopefully that will prevent the oil from coming up the drain tube into and out of the turbo.
Getting new air filter and o2 sensor as well. Hopefully that solves my issues.

My 1989 Volvo 240 has been getting the Lambda control -"Engine running too lean at part load" code. I cleaned my MAF a little while ago. I'm also getting bad gas mileage. I'm probably going to have to do this. Thanks for the video. Those sensors can be expensive.

I think I have a similar problem with my 940 how did you get on?

@@AnimalStomper After about 6 months I have this fixed. I had to take it to a Volvo mechanic in SLC. I had purchased an OEM O2 sensor. I also purchased an aftermarket TPS. I kept getting the codes still. I was also having bad idle issues. The car was constantly looking for the correct idle. My Volvo mechanic tested all my new parts and non of them were communicating correctly together. I had to replace all my sensors with OEM Volvo parts and it fixed it. The MAF was $550. Ouch. I was able to return the O2 sensor and get some money back. Those guys have been working on Volvo's since the 50's. They're a family run shop. They insisted, if you're replacing any sensors, keep it original Volvo parts or you're going to have issues.

Any idea why the new 940 O2 sensors have 2 electrical connectors on the harness and not 1?

Would you happen to have the part number for it. I can't seem to figure out which one I actually need there is 2 that are both Bosch brand

I believe there’s one for turbo cars and one for non turbo cars

Did it make any difference? Was the eBay sensor good quality?

hey ! why did you change it ? i wanted to pull mine to see if i could let air flow out and see if my engine vibrations went away (and stop oil out the cap) but yeah. why change it ? was it not starting ?

I was getting bad gas mileage my friend. And it wouldn’t hurt to change it with a brand new one. I don’t know how long it’s been on there. I’ve had the car for 4 years put 35k miles on it. So I thought I’d change it

1993 940 here too. 184k. just did head gasket. still got some engine shake (after engine mounts too). be cool if we were neighbors. I'm in jersey. cheers !

They have a useful life of about 100k miles. Even if it's not throwing codes, it's probably worthwhile building into a big service.

@@michaelduva5217did you ever figure out your shaking engine problem?

    • @michaelduva5217
      @michaelduva5217 Год назад

I did not figure out my engine, shaking problem, and it has been going on forever, just two days ago I removed my rear muffler, still have the middle muffler, the shaking reduces, in a very strange way, when it rains very heavy and I’ve been driving in the rain for a little bit, it is a mystery, and it’s 30,000 miles in

Alright how would you know the difference between Bosch and Rex/regina?
