You could try swapping coil input wires from stator..to see if it is a coil..left and right are both the same.......should go well when done

Hi john I've rebuilt and rewired many bikes it makes no difference which way round the wires to the coil run but wat i would do before buying another coil is transfer the wires on the working coil to the dead one and see if it has a spark? If that coil still doesn't have a spark then get a new coil

Hey, 16v is way to high for a 12v battery (even a car battery. You want to be about 14.6 but absolute max 15v, at the voltage your putting in uve probably damaged the battery and even run the risk of the battery exploding. Time for a new charger I think bud. The really cheap £15 lcd smart chargers off Amazon are very good. One in yellow & orange.
