I love the look of those Nauticat boats, they seem such capable vessels. Nice to see the video of the boat doing what she does best.

Nice video and great way you capture the open water contrasts with the quiet of sunrise 🌅 or sunset.👍🏻

Hallo Yvonne en Martin, Ik vind jullie Nauticat erg leuk. Jij, de Nauticat en de Grevelingen passen goed bij elkaar. Veel groeten van voormalig steigerbuurman P5, René

I am impressed with how well and how fast the Nauticat 36 sails. I always thought because it is a motor sailor that the sailing performance was a bit slow. It looks like it sails better that the 33 with its extra boat length too

Good motor sailors are generally at their best with a blow behind them and Nauticats were built for these sort of Northern coastal waters.
This time of year you benefit from a sheltered helm day or night.😊
There’s some excellent footage of a Fisher with traditional Red sails blasting along also here on Utube

Would they make good blue water boats do you think?

Thanks for the response. Indeed, we are not disappointed with the sailing performance of our Nauticat 36. Even high upwind with the small headsail and mainsail set, the Nauticat runs between 5.5 and 6.5 knots. There must be some wind, preferably between 12 and 17 knots of wind. It is a stable and nice sailing ship, partly due to the beautiful slender and narrow front, with the beautifully shaped keel that runs all the way from the waterline to the rudder.

That's why I like pilothause type motorsailers. Any weather you can drive the boat in dry and windless comfort. I also looking for some motorsailer. I just have one question: How good NAUTICAT boat goes just on sail?

@@yvonne-accordeoniste I am currently looking to own a NAUTICAT 33, which may have similar performance characteristics. NAUTICAT's comfort is said to be higher and the course more stable than classic sailing yachts. The downside is said to be more difficult maneuvering at the docks. Thank you for your reply!
