Minish Cap** not oracle of seasons lol
I know itll never happen but I'd rather to also have the option the buy the games individually.
i absolutely agree, even if it means they have the same overpriced prices as the virtual console did (5$ for ice climbers) it would be better than having no option at all
It's great that you can play all these games but you don't own them.
That would be a godsend if I could buy the games. Even better if they rereleased the games for the old systems again, in physical format
A free monthly game or two you can keep forever with the expansion pack would actually add decent value. They don’t have to be AAA titles, just something fun to try each month.
I'd be happier with that, if we got to play those games outside of the online service
I dont see Nintendo giving away RPGS in that way. Too good to be true.
I still find it ridiculous to lock online play behind a paywall. I bought my system (with internet capabilities) I bought my game (with online multiplayer) and I bought my internet service in my own home. Why would I need to pay a yearly surcharge subscription service just to use the things that I already own?
I’ll admit though, the emulation still tempts me.
Yeah, ive really never gotten over having to pay to use my own internet...but more and more games are using dedicated servers nowadays so im slowly getting over it...
It didn't help that they even locked cloud save behind paywall and remove any other means to backup the save manually incase the switch is broken/stolen.
The 1st party nintendo games doesn't even have dedicated servers. Splatoon 3 is still peer to peer connection till this day.
i guess we pay for the dedicated servers.
Right, so, you bought some things, so therefore other things should be free? You know, someone really needs to come out with a game which explains capitalism to you morons. Either that, or a game that somehow gets through your thick skulls that you aren't entitled to anything and everything you desire, just because you desire it. No one forced you to buy a system, or a game, or an internet service, and no one is forcing you to buy the online service. It's called suply and demand, and while there's a demand - which there clearly is - Nintendo will keep supplying it for a price, *_AS THEY ARE LEGALLY REQUIRED TO DO, IN ORDER TO MAXIMISE PROFIT FOR THEIR SHAREHOLDERS._* I find it ridiculous that people like you don't understand basic matters...
I had a lot of gamestop points and used that to get the expansion. If Nintendo added 3 games per month to each of the services it would be a easier sale. I think the not knowing when games are coming is what makes it more difficult for people to buy it.
The fact that a year later the library is still very small is also concerning. I agree they have some good games but like it’s still very small, for both n64 and gba games
IF games and consoles are added. Yes., I never had a Gamecube so that would be great
It’s a slap in the face to charge us for online play. But since it’s not going away soon, id rather they at least reduce the expansion pack base price to $30 at least since they’re charging $60 per game and now $70 for the new zelda. That, and removing the forced dlc since I don’t want to rent dlc I already own
Thissssssss 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
I can't imagine being this entitled.
"It's a slap to charge us for online play" Bitch, it's 2023! It was probably something that shouldn't have started but Jesus Christ, if you only want online play, 20 dollars a year is too much in modern times?
And to bitch about the price of the new Zelda. Yeah, it's like they spent 7 years trying to perfect a game, how dare they ask for ten extra bucks.
I forget what RUclipsr said it, but it's true. We shouldn't bitch about game prices, because shit like BotW wasn't a 60 dollar game. It was a hundred dollar game.
If we act like this, the suites are going to rake us over the coals more and we'll have nobody to blame but ourselves.
"It's a slap in the face to charge us for online play". Yeah bro. They just intrinsically owe us that 🤡🤡🤡
@@draxxthemsclounts2478 it was free before 🤷♂️
@@draxxthemsclounts2478 you're invalid
No one ever talks about the sega part
I so wish that I can purchase these classic games digitally to add to my switch library without the online service. So unfortunate 😔 I purchased a Gpd xd plus handheld and it’s filled to the brim with all kinds of classic goodies so I’m happy for that but I would of happily departed with my hard earn cash to have these on my switch…….I may still purchase the Nintendo online subscription…..still thinking 🤔 about that maybe……
Yes but emulator ports can work or be full of crap I think it's worth it and I might get it soon
I love the ability to play retro games on the switch. There are a handful of games I've played for hundreds of hours.
In the UK the NSO + Expansion Pak is only £34.99. I've had it a year and just resubscribed for another year. Even got me the N64 controller as no faffy button remapping is necessary. I have an 8bitdo SNES pad to play NES, SNES, Mega Drive and GBA games. I also need cloud saves as i own a Switch and a Switch Lite and switch between the two. I think NSO is worth it.
Here's what I don't understand
I'm a fan of Nintendo, and i can even be a fan to Xbox and PlayStation
However, why... Just why, do these companies have to add online services where have to pay your saved data.
Cloud saving might be nice and all, but what if i don't want to pay anymore. What if I don't come back to the Switch, Xbox Series X/S or PS5, and you wake up one day to see almost all game saved data is gone. Im not paying a Live membership just to wait for the next console to come out to go thru a similar thing all over again
What happened to good ol games you play and save. As for online, I'd say online shopping is fine.
What I'm trying to say is that the people have the power to control their games not the company. The Power is the Players.
It’ll be worth it for me when we get GameCube and a better game selection
@@Wario1382 lmao
I think I got NSO last year or late 2021 and I do wish that I did wait a little bit longer. I don’t completely regret my decision though.
How do you feel about the GBA + GB addition?
@@nintendovault I do feel better about it now. They did just get added a few days ago so when they receive a few games then it will be worth the price for me at least.
I got it when it first came out. Was a bit underwhelmed, but I didn’t regret it. I still don’t. It’s definitely worth it now
Man.... I really want wind waker.. 😮💨
i know that feeling
I had to research after GB and GBA was dropped. There's not many GBA right now but they are dropping more and hopefully continue to drop more games. Might grab it
I have a question if you buy the expansion pack will you only get the gba, n64 and Sega genesis or will you get all of that plus snes, Gameboy and nes?
Switch online is the base of the online membership and the expansion pack adds more, I think expansion pack comes with switch online since you need it to use the expansion pack
agree! if DS games or CUBE comes out it would be a sold deal right away! I wouldnt say i am a die hard fan of nintendo! But playing GBA games (pokemon) or old mario games is AWESOME’ and getting to play onlinr aswell! i dont mind 50$! But be like me, buy a family pack ;)
Give me GameCube switch online Nintendo!
Nice short straight to the point and sweet . Amazing video 👍
Here's the fun part, it will never be worth it. 😁 You keep nothing and have to renew each year or else you lose everything. If I were Nintendo, I would have allowed members to download the games they want, I suppose without exceeding the 50 dollar price in value.
So for each console you can download up to 5 or 6 games.
Bottom line is **I would find a way to be consumer friendly and not anti consumer**
That is what should've been done. A virtual console style experience. Personally I would toss in a voting mechanic so players could tell Nintendo what kind of games they want
@@PurpleFury2375 I'd say it's kinda worth it if you an an eighth of the cost in a family plan
Actually I am interrested in pokemon games for gba, now I actually want only to have super Mario advance 4, I already pay $20 yearly so I don’t want to pay even more
Nintendo trying to rival with pirates by providing a worse emulator and then charging you 300dollars for a console, 50dollars per controller, and then 50dollars a year for the NSO.
They couldn't even be bothered to make the emulation run good. What's the point of spending all that money?
And on top of that, there are many game titles that are simply not available. I was actually considering getting a switch for this, but after looking into it there's no way I'm falling for this scam.
Iv been thinking about getting this, as a retro gamer I feel like this would be worth it for me alone. And the plus is I can beat my kids mercilessly at Mario kart.😂 Iv just been on the fence about it.
Great video here. I too don't think NSO is quite worth it yet. I am itching to replay the pokemon TCG on Switch as well as Megaman NT but sadly there's just not enough value yet. I'm also wondering if the service itself I'd any better? I recall playing the NES games like 6 months ago and you could definitely feel input delay. Is that going to be worse with GBA and N64??
It works pretty well for me, I don't feel that much input lag on gba at least. N64 feels about right, not worse than virtual console on the Wii back in the day, but of course you could probably get a better experience with a more powerful emu machine. It's more just the fun of having a fairly easy to boot emulation device with you
You deserve to have more subscribers
amen brother
Nice pfp.
@@ruadhanmcdonagh You too
How much space is required to download the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack to my Switch? I plan on playing games from each of the consoles that are part of the Expansion Pack.
I think it depends on how many of the emulators you use. You download them all separately.
Do you keep the dlcs after the expansion pack expires?
Get a family plan with friends and family. Absolutely worth it.
For me is wroth it they finally added Gameboy and Gameboy Advanced and soon, Pokémon stadium 1 & 2 is coming soon that I can’t wait for !
I still play it with my friends and family
Is it worth it, if I wanna play super mario 64, ocarina of time and majora’s mask?
apparently its out lol
@@nintendovault it’s available since the expension pack cam out…
@@nintendovault It's already here...
If anyone wants to play those, it's worth going back to Wii or Wii U or 3DS .... or the original console and game
@@KevinGonzalez-vx2oh Wii U and 3DS?
1) N64 never was on the 3DS. Maybe via hacking but im not sure
2) even then, the eshops are closed
3) original console and game, sure. At what price?
Yea buy what happens after purchasing the expansion pass and you don't want it anymore? Do you lose the mario kart expansion? And all the other stuff too?
Yeah :(
At least after the year you paid for
This drives me nuts. It's never enough. We got n64, we got GBA.
We've been whining for them this entire time. We get them.
"We need GameCube and Nintendo DS"!
Bro. It just never stops. I'm tired of people comparing Nintendo to Xbox. Forget Playstation, as a fan, I'm not even looking to their trash ability to give backlog.
But that's what it is. It's backlog. Stop looking for what xbox gives you to compare to Nintendo
Xbox gives you newer shit.
Nintendo gives you legacy.
Playstation gives you barely either but has good new cinematic games.
So… just be satisfied? Never demand more from a company? That sounds like a bad idea.
Bro nitendo is horrible at memberships lmfao
So we should be grateful? Even though we pay these companies? What sort of backwards logic is that also if you don’t criticize a company then we get another Wii U and no one wants that I don’t care how many good games were on the platform it bombed
@@nintendovault No. Never be satisfied. Keep asking for more. Just quit bitching like you're being screwed over.
@@brandonscott3423I'm not asking for people to slobber on their... programs. I'm just so done with the entitlement. It's so cringe. Ask for more, but Jesus Christ, I've never heard of a more entitled consumer than a Nintendo fan.
Nintendo has never understood the internet
It's for me. Simple.
I honestly don't think it will ever be worth it when they lied to their userbase. Or misled them i suppose.
NAH for what they offer games and services wise a big "NO"
