Little kid must have super powers to not have been electrified.
There is a wooden guardrail above the third rail he must have climbed on that and not touched the third rail.
@@Ham549 That’s exactly what saved him was that wooden safety plank.
Two to three years old is that age when children tend to wander off and get lost. Most of the time, when you hear news stories about polife looking for a lost child, they seem to be around that age.
Dont be too quick to condemn this poor lady. Most Moms have been in a similar situation. Mine was three when she had somehow figured out how to unlock the front door and wandered outside, while I was in the bathroom. It was less than a few minutes of my leaving her watching Elmo so I could pee, and she was GONE.
Thank God our dog at the time was used to playing "hide and seek" with my daughter, and was smart enough to know the child did not belong outside on her own.
My instinct was to run up and down the street, but I told the dog to "Go find her!" and the dog put her nose to the ground. A minute later, the dog led me to the little girl, who was across the field out back, picking daisies at the edge of a neighbor's new COY POND-- standing on the slippery unsecured decorative stones. She could have fallen in at any moment, except that our dog found her right away.
That dog ate like a queen that night, and for some nights thereafter, and got SO MANY hugs from us all.
Ok I’m so sorry that happened to you. But even that was preventable. Child locks? Hello??? Like why have a child if you clearly have not prepared yourself/your lifestyle to do so. Idk this lady in this video just actually pissed me off, I would have been seriously questioning how/in what scenario that could have ever gotten to that point with a child you know is not fully capable of knowing right from wrong/what’s dangerous and what’s not. Especially when people keep reiterating children just wander off; so you know they do it… and still do nothing to prevent it?!?!?!? Make it make sense.
We had a little autistic boy drown nearby because of the same thing. He “just always wandered off” and was DRAWN TO WATER!!! with a river in their backyard. Are you kidding me??? They were ASKING for that to happen!!! It’s so beyond infuriating!! Stop making excuses for your Stupidity and carelessness, you have every single tool known to man available to succeed as a parent. parents are supposed to advocate for kids!!
Like, Just say that you didn’t want to take the time to care in that moment. I don’t even have children and even I know better from my experience as a PCA. I NEVER EVER EVER let them out of my sight. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! They went to the bathroom with ME! If I’m outside so are they and vice verse. I’m not outside if I cannot confidently and safely secure them out with me (ex a fenced in yard) I’ll just have to wait until some help is here so I can. I got leash backpacks for outings in crowds. Shit, it’s the same as getting a puppy. It’s hard to wrap your life around them but that’s what you signed up for. Smh. I’m like actually ragingggg inside right now I’m gonna have to log off.
Truly noble. Thank you and God bless
Kudos to those who saved him.
WELL DONE!!👍🌼
Still good people in the world ❤
Wow that's wonderful the good side of humanity ❤
The smaller they are, the easier to venture out and explore without detection. Good thing this happened in daylight
Thank You God!
My nephew, who is autistic used to run off so often he earned a nickname from the police, The Roanoke Runner. (My sister lives on Roanoke St)
Wow that give me chills!!!!
Soo much could have happened to him. Glad that guy had sharp eyes 🙏🏾💕.
Very touchy story!!
Those men arecTRUE HEROS.

Mum; "No we can't go for a train ride today, I've got a lot to do."
Son; "Only one thing for it........"
The number of people in the comments displaying their ignorance about toddlers is astounding.
yes they can wander BUT they can also be taught to STAY close to mom! ive seen SO MANY alone kids in stores with NO adult around!!
@@Lauren-vd4qe but this kid wandered. And that’s what kids do (especially toddlers) - they can get away from an adult in less than 10 seconds. It’s why we have fences around pools - because sadly we know kids that age can slip away and drown before anyone notices. So all these comments blaming the mother are illustrating how ignorant people are of just how easy it is for a toddler to go missing.
@@hotbluflame2933 oh im aware of this, BUT the mom NEEDS to TEACH the kid NOT to wander, she NEEDS to keep an EYE on him in a dangerous area like a train platform; and she NEEDS to harness him and secure the leash to her belt if she cant/wont/chooses not to hold onto his hand. thats the bottom line. thats what i did when mine was a toddler.
@@Lauren-vd4qe ahhhh, you were a kid-leash mom. That explains a lot. Have a good day.
@@hotbluflame2933 yes occasionally I was, he didnt want me holding his hand all the time and its the parents responsibility to keep them safe, so yes i used a kiddie harness/leash and so did plenty of other parents. its a useful safety device.
Good job guys..
I've been on those trains. And, yes, they go pretty fast.
Great job
❤❤❤❤❤
The best outcome but was mum distracted by her phone or something? Railways aren't playgrounds. Anyhow, these guys are super heroes. Very well done.
Lucky for them train engineers policy is to wait for impact before braking. They're garbage people behind the operator controls. This one had a hart.
My biggest fear right now
How does a "toddler" even access such a dangerous area? How would he just "Tumble" over a wall?
even been on a train station platform? theres NOTHING to stop u from falling onto the tracks except your own common sense. his mother was not watching him.
Guess you never had or have known a "toddler" (why your quotes?) Or been on a crowded train platform!
@@joanneweiss3864I’d like to know what a “toddler” is too. 😂
All the people criticizing the mom for "failing" her child obviously know nothing about children. Unless you glue your child to your forehead, you can't 100% guarantee that they won't sometimes slip away from you.
They know nothing about this case either. We weren't told what exactly happened, people are just making assumptions.... and its interesting that the automatic Go To is that the mom did something wrong. Kids can be quick and it only takes a second for them to dart out of sight.
And saying 'well teach them not to' is a useless reply. That doesn't work on every child, particularly if you have one with special needs.
Having a kid is a responsibility, and if you can’t watch your kid than you have no business having one. Its not a lifetime chore, the first few years are critical. But the fact she made no attempt dialing 911 or getting down to the tracks and took her an hour to get to the stopped train it’s too many red flags, maybe she wanted him gone.
1 entire HOUR
@dliguori25 They were at a playground and he wandered away.
@dliguori25 It doesn't mean that at all. I know in playgrounds there are tons of kids. I believe I know which park this is as I am from the area. Popular park with sensory activities for kids on the spectrum. It is also very grassy and wooded. Doesn't make her a bad parent. My kids are grown now but they have wandered at the park. Heck, after Mass on Sunday lots of kids take off and roam the grounds without parental supervision. Some very young but I wouldn't chastise parents for not watching their kids. That is not my place and neither is it anybody's place to do so.
How did he get away from his mother...?
How does a child go missing, while the mother is there?
Phone?.... talking?... asleep?
A good reminder to be alert.
No one mentioned something. What was a child that age doing alone and able to get away from his mother . Unsupervised at that age ?
He was at the playground with his mom and wandered away.
Nobody's talking about the level of negligence on the mom's part?
I don’t feel trusting the mother.
"Wandered off" = unsupervised.
So did she call 911? How does he just tumble over a wall….took an hour for her to get to him? None of this makes sense…
Other Metro North crew (near the closest station) found her crying nearby because she was looking for him and couldn't find him
Reunited after being separated for an hour!?! wasn't this woman looking for her child!?!
She was preoccupied with having her nails done...
Hope the child was taken from the mother, pathetic!
How come the mother's in the train but the child on the tracks in the path of the train?
the mother NEEDS to teach/enforce the child to NOT walk away!! ive seen SO MANY kids alone in stores with NO adult !! when my toddler started to walk and we went on walks etc, i put a little harness on him with a connecting strap; you can hook them to your belt if you want to. it prevents the kid from going onto the road. when i went shopping he sat in the cart OR if he wanted to walk along in the store, he HAD to keep ONE HAND ON the cart, NO exceptions. if he took his hand OFF the cart, he then lost the privilege of being out of the cart. im thinking this kid has been allowed to wander off on a regular basis.
look another Karen ... please STFU
@dliguori25 funny but not real, we know. I wonder if we can make a remote control one for sassy teenagers eh!
Parents don't leash their kids in Westchester County. If they did, CPS would be called on them. Putting a leash on a child with autism who has sensory issues to begin with is not a good idea. Do you understand the different aspects of autism? Your way of parenting is not for everybody.
This Mother has failed her child and hopefully this will be a learning lesson
Child neglect to a different level....
so true !!!
How he’s 3 shouldn’t be anywhere alone except at home in his Bed .
okay--- the child should be in FOSTER CARE RIGHT NOW ! His mother has little to no mental capacity to care for him. He fell and rolled on the train tracks ?
I thought trains couldn’t stop. I mean godbless they did, obviously of course, but I always thought that was a thing idk maybe I’m trippin. Thank you for saving him. 🩷👏
Some good news from america for a change🙏
