We have to separate the florets of broccoli and cauliflowers and then wash it in turmeric water added with salt thoroughly and then cut into tiny bits for thoran If it is for frying it can be put in boing water added with the same ingredients for few seconds ,strain it and prepare the dish you wish to cook.Brocoli after boiling sautéed in butter with onion, and pepper taste delicious.

Did you take the stalk or stem of Broccoli too? I used to throw it, even cauliflowers. Later, I learnt we can use that too. Even in thoran, mezukperatti or in gravy.
