I mean you aren't wrong, in order to catch up you definitely need to take some losses, just some might take less losses than others lol. IDK much about Europe, but it definitely feels like there is a good amount of newblood in the NA scene, I hope you can link up with some newer players over in the EU.

Yeah, for a new player you probably can go ham with Belial in the beginning. Then at higher levels realize how much spacing matter because feels like everyone out ranges him with pokes.
I feel like gran's gameplan might be easier to learn? But it also changes drastically from MU to MU while lance's goal is getting the same situation going in both neutral and offense on every MU in the game. Where Gran stands vs yuel compared to in the mirror or vs charlotta etc they're all different and what he's looking to do can be very different based on the character/player. Lance wants to set up a tough to deal with FB or try to hit you with whatever reactable option you weren't expecting and go from there.
I think that most of what you mentioned is just the difference between higher tiered characters, the gameplan works more consistently, but it can be harder to learn
Same way you practice any other character, learn the basic combos, watch videos of top Ferry's and copy what they do until you have a solid gameplan. It's just gonna take more time to get to that "solid gameplan" then other characters
I must say I always enjoyed these types of video but I always say to folks too play who they have the most fun with. If a character fun you'll be motivated to learn lol. Thank you for breaking this down
Taking it from a strong and experienced player as yourself. I would believe it. Especially since you can pretty much play all the characters efficiently. You have a good sense om what to do with them.
i just picked the game up and inmediatly gravitated to narmaya i think she's really cool but im getting wrecked online mainly because i'm always matched with s and master and it's quite hard to practice her if i'm getting owned so much lol an good pointers Cheers!
Iv had the game since day one but havent invested time on it. I like the character design of pretty much all characters. Is cogliostro a strong character?
@@aegisreflector1239 yeah The thing is that u need to spam her Land/Air mines and know how to teleport and bait your opponent into them To resume: IQ plays

Her game plan just isn't as effective VS top level competition IMO. So you have to be strong to make it work. Some characters have lots of ways around zoning, you can't abuse hop because it's death on AA, and most of her "mixup" in the corner also isn't a true mixup.
I think the essence of Yuel's relatively low placement is that you can get by pretty easily just using 5m in neutral lol. Not many characters have 1 button neutral 😂
Is this game even worth getting at this point? Ive been browsing thru steam for a couple weeks now, getting bored of a lot of games these days. I was looking for something more than a looter shooter like destiny 2, warframe, etc... ive been getting tired of mmos like ffxiv and other games atm so im looking into other genres. So far this is probably the closest thing to interest me but the game seems so dead and steam says there's a avg of 250 players only so im just trying to decide if its worth playing or even buying at full price rn.
IMO where you live/what you like. I wouldn't say it's dead cause there is still strong tournament support (see Teamspooky, etc.). You can find matches and tournies, but it is harder than say SFV/DBZ/other more popular games cause there is higher player base, and you might have to use discord MM. Up to you, I do wish this game would go on sale more so I feel you on that. I have a vid on this topic too if you wanna read into it more.
I don't get it. How can a character be Hard to learn but easy to master at the same time?, theres only 1 character there. I honestly don't know what you mean with "learning" and with "mastering"
Learn = achieve baseline proficiency. Master = how much time does it take to bring out characters full potential? Hard to learn but easy to master means once you get to that baseline proficiency there isn’t that much left to learn
Lance and Percival being mirrored (ish) in their positionning is thematicly fitting. also, as a Lance player, I think some of the mid to higher level stuff is more knowledge based rather than technicaly difficult. I agree with the placement. I wish Lance would be stronger too btw 👌
Look back on Granblue stuff in preparation for Rising. The clip at 23:19 is so funny lmao. I remember Gandido talking about his Zeta bible back then. Good times
Well ik this old but ig a good definition for ease of learning should range from the ability of a normal or maybe pro fgc player to just pick up the character without any knowledge and fight a match and range of for mastering is prolly jus optimization ofc lol
@@Diaphone Easier as in close to Charlotta and Gran? or to Lowain and Zeta? Hardest as in Top 3? Ferry, Narmaya and Eustace? Just trying to see a more clear picture of where they might stand to everyone else in the graph.
Charlotta has the highest skill gap, you can't understand how many times I did yolo M Ball and lost 50% because my opponent knows how to punish it and I should know better not to yolo M Ball against them
There is no 'wrong decision'. Try characters you like or are interested in. Winning will come later. If you're only interested in winning, then forget what I just said
Think the problem was that definition for "learn" was inconsistent... Noticed it was constantly flipping between it representing a tier list for low level plays vs level of inherent technicalities of a character (most of which can act as an entry barrier but gets selectively thrown out the window anyways at low level)
Yea.. so it sort of became a mix of the 2 definitions lol. Thankfully I think there's a high correlation between the two. Another way of looking at this is How "low" is low level lol.

every character is hard because you're only gonna be playing against discorders who have been grinding the game since launch, especially in europe

That's a fucking stupid take. Learning and mastering a characters is completely different than mastering pvp difficulty of an opponent.
