No matter who the producers wanted originally, this pairing seems perfect. Two legends in their own right. And it’s cool they have already been friends.
Paty LuPone looks great, these two legends on stage what a gift, and yes Mia Farrow life story is one for the ages glad to see her on stage, what an icon she is !
OMG... I am ALWAYS grateful to see and hear two people who obviously care about each other like this. We should all have a friend like this. It is also a reminder of the kind of person I want to be in this life. Someone who is a good person and is generous to others. Thank you, Seth, for this segment. It's great.
Beyond the acting she was a style icon of the 60s. Rail thin, short hair and those huge eyes. She was the American Twiggy in a lot of ways. All of the designers wanted to dress her. Everyone wanted her at parties and social events. She knew everyone. Can you imagine the stories she has? Unfortunately for Mia, between Polanski and Allen, her body of work has essentially been cancelled. Not for me. I still love Rosemary's Baby, Hanna and Her Sisters, and Radio Days. But you never see them on TV or streaming services.
What woman on planet earth would not want to have the guts and utterly delectable magnetism that Patti LuPone displayed when she sang Ladies Who Lunch for the gob-smacked Steven Colbert during and interview he’d done with her⁉️🔥❤️
I wish they didn't mic actors on Broadway (or Off). Firstly, a trained actor doesn't need it, and more importantly the pure sound of the human voice is a big part of what people love about theater.
Mia's choices in men. Sinatra, Allen... and have you seen a pic of young Andre Previn? I'm not saying right or wrong. Just... well, it couldn't have been about love.
Its almost amusing to see how much space Madonna occupies in the mind of a frustrated scorned critic. What truly delights me, though, is the fact that the creative visionaries behind "Evita" Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice, and Alan Parker all recognized that only Madonna could authentically embody the iconic Eva Perón. They made a deliberate choice, and it was the right one. As Eva herself would have also approved. Many seem to overlook this context, focusing instead on a disgruntled woman's complaints. It's worth noting that you don’t hear legends like Meryl Streep or Michelle Pfeiffer lamenting over missing out on the role of Evita, even though they were also contenders. I get she comes from that old world where women hated women as much as the men, still lingering today.
Between the woman who destroyed the legacy of one of the greatest film directors in history and one who tried but will never succeed to hurt Madonna’s, we’ve got a pair made of peaches and cream here.
There is zero plastic surgery on Mia's face and certainly no botox. Her forehead is moving freely with plenty of visible wrinkles. She's gained a lot of weight in her older years and she had very full cheeks even when she was waif thin, so once you gain weight when your older they really puff up. There isn't a single picture of her where her face has fallen or become wrinkled and then the next year she's refreshed looking. That just doesn't exist.
Ffs, she is 79 years old. Do you expect her to look exactly like when she was in Rosemary’s Baby? Geez. As people get older bone structures change that may have nothing to do with plastic surgery.
@@barkamber554 No, I think the question is, "Why do many people hardly wait to wake up and post a negative and or mean comment on these sites"?? I mean this is just a light segment of two actresses that have a close bond of friendship. They enjoy each other. Why not enjoy them as well or select something else?
She actually did that? Now I like her more! It was the rule in theaters at the time. It’s important to follow rules. That is what society is based on. Why do you think religion was invented? To have rules and hold a society together. Masks work. If you wear them correctly.
Not true about masks doing nothing. Republicans had big gatherings, unmasked and there were large breakouts of Covid. Democrats wore masks and didn't have that happen. How ridiculous!

This video is utter joy. I love how these two elder icons relate to their worlds and each other. Bravo!
Utter Joy YES!!!!
Me too.
That was exactly what I needed to see this Sunday Morning. Amazing inspiring women!
"I'm really glad it's Patti."😀😀
....so good to see you again, Mia!😊❤🎉

Good for both of you. I've watched Mia since the Payton Place days. Love you Mia!
I loved watching Peyton Place with my Mother. I was born in 59.
Peyton.
I love Patti LuPone, I'v been her fan for years. I wish Broadway weren't so far from me.
Love to see these two...great artists!
What an awesome interview!
Two amazing ladies❤❤🎉🎉
Love how she leans into mia.🎉
I have loved Mia Farrow for 30+ years. She does not look 79 years old at all. Mia, what the hell do you eat?😂😂😂❤
At least two facelifts and she didn't have those cheekbones in Rosemary's Baby.
Two beautiful and talented women
Love Mia, gorgeous- Patti is a GODDESS!☆☆☆☆☆

Spectacular actors and examples of success for all to admire and learn from.
Mia is the most underrated actor of the last 50 years. Would love to see this show.

@@jm7804 I think she cancelled herself, if you know what I mean...
I am so excited to see this in a few weeks!
Great interview!
Two iconic queens being interviewed together!🤩😍🙌🏼Oh my god CBS, y'all are spoiling us!😀😃😄❤😅
Legends
It looks like a great play. I wish I were in NYC to attend.
Mia: an Iron 🦋 Butterfly, an ethereal beauty. The framed photo of her in the opening credits of The Great Gatsby, is unimaginable loveliness.
1:51 i NEED to see the full Evita play with Patti in it, with that camera quality!!!!
Would live to see this play ❤
An odd pairing, but I think it works on and off the stage. Both are very interesting and talented people.
2 Beautiful Gorgeous ladies ❤❤❤❤

Hooray! 70's are nothing anymore--bless you CBS
Make it a movie. I would watch these two.
OMG. I need to see this!
Good segment....now I want to see the show....
Going next week 😊
Mia was so good in this play. I didn't know she could do comedy. Why was she never in comedy movies???
Seth Doane has a very pleasant manner and a really cute guy. 😍
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Lady Amalthea and Yellow Diamond doing a Broadway Show
Woah
It is sooo rude to use a cell phone in front of others!!!!

I saw the show last night at the booth theater the play itself is pretty bad but they are so good it didn't matter.
Mia's choices in men. Sinatra, Allen... and have you seen a pic of young Andre Previn? I'm not saying right or wrong. Just... well, it couldn't have been about love.
♥♥
Go read Mia's son Moses letter from 2018. Mia was basically a "Mommy Dearest" type mother.

Saw this with two wonderful actors and I still didn't care..
I actually kinda remember Peyton Place! The mid 60's.
Did Mia diss Annette Bening?
No.
That’s my take
I think it's more that she'd rather perform with a good friend she's known many years.
Their relationship almost gave me diabetes... ;-)
🕊🇺🇲💕
Yikes Mia noooo
Mia Farrow..........Ms Looney Tunes
...Read my comment.....
She is crazy but beautiful for 80..
But koo-koo
I really want mia to cut her hair
Cissy Spacek can play Mia Farrow.

Cannot stand Mia Farrow.
Geesh thanks for letting us know. Don't know how I would get through the night without this information.
Bravo 👏🏻 someone said it !
Mia looks ... Terrible.... Plastic surgery.. Botox.. Patti looks Great 👍... poor Mia addicted to looking young ... just my opinion
Mia looks okay. But she frightens me. I worry that if I ever met her she’d accuse me of something I didn’t do.

Good to see Patti back on Broadway!! ❤
Why do old women like Farrow think a mass of hair like that makes sense??? 😂
She looks beautiful... The question is why do most old people feel they have to cut their hair short just cause their older
Disagree with you. Her hair is beautiful. She is pretty and classic looking

@@simplytruth9729Great response. I don’t understand the gripe; her hair looks fine. It’s beautiful.
I think that it works for her.
who cares?
I don’t like Patti after she yelled at a audience member not wearing a mask. Those masks did NOTHING.🙄
Especially when Patti wasn't wearing a mask herself. Technically they could mic her with a mask on for safety to her audience.

@@clee2598They were constantly testing the actors during that time. Can’t do that with the audience, hence masking.
