87 tbi 350 died on me one day, had no fuel or spark, I watched this video and replaced the distributor and like magic it’s up and running better then before. Awesome video thank you for the help and upload!

This is how it happens to my 1995 4.3l chevy truck, it stops running and I look at the tbi they do not inject gasoline and after about 20 minutes it starts well, very good video, thank you
Cool video, wondering if that's my problem. I have an 87 Chevy Silverado, in the runs real good for as long as I want; however, if I turn it off it won't start until 30 minutes later. It will crank, but no start. I can't hear the fuel pump or the injector pulse either untill 30 minutes. Then it will run fine, for as long as I want. Any idea? Update: I swapped out the pickup coil and still the same thing. Beginning to think that it's my ignition control module eventhough it's been changed twice?

I got a new distributor and tested it like you did and still nothing. I noticed the new distributor was getting hot while I had it connected and the ground attached like you did. Is that normal? I changed basically everything related to the ignition. Also replaced fuel pump.

Im having trouble with a 94 chevy Silverado K3500 7.4L TBI i just installed a brand new fuel pump couple day's ago and the fuel filter was changed less then 6 months ago or less but anyways i can hear the fuel pump buzz when key is turned to on position but when i have my ears really close to the carb i can hear something hissing or turn on when i have someone turn the key for me and when i took the fuel line off the carb to see if any gas was getting to the carb which the gas is going to it... ive tried starting fluid but it will still not start or anything just cranks

Have ever encountered a sysytem like this that injectors still shoot fuel even when the truck has stalled. The tachometer also is reading that engine is running. I know its a bad item just dont know what.. HELP PLEASE!!
I’m getting spark but no fuel brand new fuel pumps I’m dash switch relays and also I’ve probed there is no power making it to the pump plugs and there are no broken wires. Should I replace the fuel pump switch that’s under the bed?

I have a 95 chevy 350 TBI, no injector pulse. i will test the spark tomorrow but when i turn the key to start it it cranks then it blows the 10 amp fuse on the ICM fuse box. replaced the ignition module twice. i scanned it . code 53 system voltage too high. and code 42 ign system problem elec spark timing circuit fault. any ideas? i really need this thing to work so i can work. thanks
I had the same problem. So I put 12 jumper wire to my injectors and they pulsed. If you put gas or spray starting fluid will yours start then ? Mine will . I'm totally stumped 🤔
Hi I need help i have a 89 camaro 5.0 tbi. Sometimes the left injector won't pulse other times the right one won't pulse or both. The injector fuses are good the ignition module is good
i have a 92 s10, i changed the icm and used a junkyard distributor, and i have good spark, i have a new fuel pump and filter, and my injectors are just dripping, could it be the pickup coil or what
@@ieatfoodthatisgood ended up taking two distributors and made a good one. used a new cap and button. old one had play in the drive gear and cracks. if they don’t fire they won’t get fuel, also changed the black box beside brake booster (after distributor was changed and did not test before changing black box) it would be easier to buy a new distributor. they come with new icms. but didn’t have the money at the time. let me know how it goes
@@robertgarcia2992 Just bought the car, and have the same issue. It gets power, but no impulse, I haven't test any other distributor yet. My serviceman made a button to manually inject fuel when cranking, also I have to spray choke cleaner on every cold start, but it works!
Hey, I recently bought a 1989 2500 not running. I have change the distributor,ICM, ignition coil,ignition switch, electronic spark control module, cap rotor, relay switch,spark plugs and wires. And I still a no spark no gas issue. What do you recommend?
@@JaboTheMechanic 94 K1500 5.7, no same thing. New pump, filter, ICM. For some reason it seems to not want to start when I park in my driveway on a hill. Worked fine after replacing pump and filter (last time I parked in my driveway about 3 weeks ago, it wouldn't start back up, towed, changed pump,filter) It's a spare truck so first time driving in 3 weeks since replacing pump, filter. The truck was being driven but not by me for several days with no issues. Once I get the truck and park on my driveway overnight, it will not start again. Just changed ICM and still nothing. Any suggestions?
@@JaboTheMechanic What if you recently replace the ignition coil? I had a no start no spark situation and it was a bad ignition coil. I replaced it and it worked great for about 5 starts. I let the truck sit for a few days and then back to no spark at the coil. I came across your video, which is great, tested with a different distributor (new out of the box) and have a pulse but no spark. I still have power to the coil as well.

Old comment but ill answer. Reluctor is bad in distributor. Change the distributor to get pulse back to the ecm to make injectors work.
My throttle body 1&2 will not light up on fuse box...89 camaro. I've replaced new fuses still no luck

Fuse is good. I tested new distributor like In your video spark is present but still no injector pulse. I'm just about fed up with this truck.

Most likely the ecm is not getting power or ground. When you first turn on the car do you see the tbi spray one time
