Cheers guys, it's lovely and quiet up here, I think that you'll enjoy the chilled out feel to it, just stock up on the beer though as pubs are few and far between!

Hi T&T :) I remember when we were on the Calder and Hebble and the Aire and Calder many years ago it all seemed a bit daunting because of the size of the locks/swing bridges etc., but that was offset by the ease of use as most things were either done for you or were electric :) Interesting to see The New Junction Canal. Certainly not boring!

Hi Ronnie, we were pleasantly surprised at The New Junction Canal. In fact we've really enjoyed what we've seen of the South Yorkshire Navigations, really interesting and not at all what we expected!

Very interesting video. We visited the C&H and A&C navigations this year for the first time and really enjoyed these northern waterways. Great contrast with the often crowded canals further south.

Thanks, yes one of the things that we love about these waterways is that they are quiet. You get a real sense of peace up here.

I think they knew it was going to be a boring straight stretch and decided to add some odd bits and bobs in to spice it up. Then when they ran out of ideas someone decided to just throw a swing bridge across the middle of a lock.
    Cheers!

Hi Guys, can you tell me if you drink the tap water you have on board or do you buy bottle? thanks

Hi, we drink bottled water but use the tank for everything else. There are lots of water points along the canal so can refill our bottles there.
