- FESTI-VAULT season is here! Last year, we had some issues at Slam Dunk North, and wondered if we'd go back again this year.
If you criticise something, you at least owe it to them to go and see efforts to improve, so we went to South for the first time; happy to be proven wrong.
So, is @slamdunkfestival3356 the MOST IMPROVED festival we've been to? There's only one way to find out...

I can't even describe to you how happy I am that festival season is back
So happy to hear Slam Dunk turned it around! All eyes on next years line-up...

@@TheAltVaultYT Wellll - absolute pipe dream bands to see announced would be Blink 182, Paramore, BMTH or Fightstar! Any of those would be an instant sell for me. Buttt more realistically it'd be great to see them bring back Plot in You, or book KennyHoopla or Fire From the Gods.
Fightstar would be great! Hopefully Charlie wants to bring back all of his projects not just Busted 😂
Dang wish I was around you guys for Dangerous Summer set. And wish it was 3x as long. Overall it was a great festival, no real complaints except not enough toilets in the waiting area before getting in. Liked the layout of a festival, really nice location, good food, great mix of nostalgia and newer bands in the lineup.
We arrived late so just ended up passing straight through the waiting area, but that's something we've heard a few people say. Seems like with one or two tweaks, it could be a perfect layout

As a frequent attendee of North, the site at South looks so much better without those damn hills. I definitely felt like there were improvements this year, but it was hard to say how much because of how much of a clusterfuck the closing of the car parks became. The only thing they seemed to run out of was certain beers which makes a change from last year.
As much as they did improve things, i think they're going to have to take a serious look at moving to a new site for North because although things would have definitely been better than last year if it was dry, the fact that the site can't handle a significant quantity of rain is a huge problem for a UK festival, even if it is normally dry that time of year.
I'd also like to add, despite it taking 2:30 from YMAS finishing to getting off the shuttle bus, it was a good day other than that. Getting there was around a 40 minute queue for the bus which is a massive improvement on last year, and getting to see the reunion of Mallory Knox made up for the shite weather,
As a northerner, I want to say the North event is better, but having a flat site makes all the difference when you're on your feet all day. There does seem to be a curse on Temple Newsam, hopefully they manage to find a way to overcome the problems because it could be a great event.

Great to see that they have worked a lot of the issues out this year. We went to south last year and ot was a nightmare, I'm glad that they have ironed out the issues because all running well it is an awesome festival. Maybe bump into you at Download!
Great to see them taking input on board and making attempts to improve. Shame about what happened at North but there are some fights you just can't win.

Was great in Leeds this year. Very muddy. But good to see it back in full swing after the shit show of last year. This was my 4th year.
This was our 4th year too, first time at South. Lots of improvements from last year all round though. Glad to hear the weather didn't ruin your day 😊
Real shame what happened with Bob Vylan as they are awesome and always get a good crowd in. Really good vlog tho! Becoming a fast favourite 🔥

You obviously weren't at Leeds then! Some horrendous organizing involved. Two weeks ahead forcasting bad weather and no steel roads or chippings down. We found out at 9am on the Sunday morning that the carparks were closed so we had to spend extra on travel and were basically trapped in the arena the whole day. Bands were great and the only thing that really kept us from leaving. Which is a shame, I have been doing festivals around Europe for years and can't recall a time we were shafted this hard.
We heard a lot of horror stories from North, hopefully they reassess and manage to put plans in place for next year if the same thing happens. Strange also that Live At Leeds seems to have had no problems the day before.

Son of a gun….did not know about tickets being a fiver for nhs workers. Anyone with more info on this like how you go about finding these nhs tickets for next year maybe would be much appreciated 😅
We found out about the scheme through Tickets For Good. You have to sign up with your NHS worker ID, and then some events will become available to buy up to 6 tickets for a fiver. But the NHS worker who buys them has to go in with their entire party

We went last year and it was awful so didn’t go this year
We had a lot of issues at North last year, but did South this year. Obviously there were a lot of issues still with North due to the extreme weather, but as far as South goes, they've done everything they can to make everything as smooth as possible
