I was there too. Nothing will quite put into words how it feels to have been able to experience this. So bittersweet but also so brilliant. "Friendly Fire" and "Waiting for the End" were my two favourite of the night, but the mainstream songs were crazy to see everyone hop to their feet and chant together. Once in a lifetime experience i think.

Glad you made it, being there on the floor with my two kids was awesome, watching them sing, scream and bounce their way through the two hour set was an experience I never thought would ever happen - if you were at Crewe station, we must be pretty local to you and could have given you a lift (we drove down and back as the trains were a nightmare) :)

When I first heard Heavy is the Crown I thought Emily won't be able to do that scream live (not many people can). I was wrong. Glad you guys made it and brought us along for the show!

Great video i think most of the fans are angry about their return is that they are playing songs from HT to OML in shows in my opinion they should have dropped the emptiness machine and heavy is the crown (quite similar to MTM, ATS, LT and thp) under some different side project in order to avoid reactions of fans if people would say that it is quite sounded like LP then they should have released rest of songs from zero under linkin park name this could had suffice the fan base expectations they are angry because emily is singing old songs and not in the same way. example the keys have been changed to fit emily in her range but among those immature people if they were fan and have little brain then they should understand the situation of band that whether it was not emily or someone else it will sound and feel different than earlier it was what linkin park is need to do that is to create new music based on classical meteora or hybrid theory vibe then i would see that it will shut all angry faces these guys have took more than 7 years to move on i would want new music and new songs instead of not seeing them making music ever again

The phrases "Chester's own son said" or "Chester's mother said" are meaningless. They probably shouldn't say anything, particularly not "Chester told me..." because NOW their words are suspect and their motives seem possibly financially motivated. They are trying to insert themselves into the situation as Chester's proxy. They are not. But the media, as you so rightly say, are only trying to drive engagement for financial gain. The whole thing is needless and unhelpful and hurtful to no one more than the band.

The reason behind AC/DC transition was there was no internet then. Any venomous bile stayed with the haters. Also no online bitching or background searches. They were a band together and not a Chester Bennington disciples combo. And seeing Mike coming out of the grief's ashes is so enlightening, like he got new power from processing the loss of a best friend.

Chester Bennington’s desth wasn’t suicide nor murder but Euthenasia or mercy killing. He was molested as a teenager,he did drugs, and he was abused. Suicide is selfish well Euthenasia is not. Suicide destroys family members and friends as someone that thought about suicide after Chester Bennington in 2017. You never know who will miss you when you’re gone tomorrow.

Thank you, I have not seen anyone caring at all about what Mike’s been going through. Seeing him smile is genuinely all I need to experience in order to know what is happening is right and to be so incredibly happy for all of them. That’s all I need to see. I keep watching the livestream concert and seeing him smile literally all the time fills me with so much joy I literally cannot contain. I didn’t even need to listen to Post Traumatic to understand this man was dealing with the indescribable, and he’s had to do it in public too. I only listened to Place to Start and What The Words Meant and couldn’t listen to anything else. It was just too painful then, and maybe I’ll be able to listen to the whole thing now, but it might still be too much for me. I just can imagine what Mike and the other guys were going through and what thoughts and feelings they’ve had to deal with, and that’s enough for me to think all fans owe the band members kindness, respect and grace especially now. Because this moment is glorious to witness, but it’s a delicate moment too. It’s delicate for them too. And if people don’t want to be kind that’s fine, they can just shut up then. Otherwise they really aren’t fans. They don’t care about the people who made the music they love.

People hating on Emily. Yes she has a past. Who wouldn't have a past. We still don't need to crusify her. People can learn from their mistakes. Give her a fucking chance. She has a great voice.

For me, it's strictly the fact that Emily is or has connection to Scientology. I cannot get behind that. I don't care if that comes across as religious persecution. I can't do it. Not when they don't think mental health is real. Given who she is taking over from--someone who had severe, SEVERE mental issues and essentially lost his life to it and the fact that I have depression myself--I can't do it. And people saying that she sings badly need to STFU. She is not that bad. I can't speak for Chester, but something tells me he wouldn't be on board with that idea. Continuing, yes, but I don't think the fact that she's a Scientologist or has connection with them would sit well with him. I am glad they waited a respectful amount of time at least. If it really was a cash grab, then they would not have waited.

Great video. You've summed up a lot of my very same thoughts. The band deserves to continue. They ALL built their legacy together. They didn't choose to lose Chester and shouldn't have to keep paying the price for it. The pain they felt from his loss was grander than any of us as fans could have felt. The fans kept asking the band what'd they'd do in the wake of Chester's death, to which the band wasn't even thinking about that then. SEVEN years later, they've returned and "fans" are mad at them. Chester was a PART of the band, he was not THE band. Mike poured his heart out after that loss and now fans, whom I'm guessing did not follow anything from Post Traumatic, are now calling Mike heartless. He is a human. He grieved. He and the rest of the guys deserve to move on.

Saw the video of the crowd chanting her name, was actually amazing. I hope she now sees it's the vocal minority making an issue with her not the general fanbase.

I love Chester Bennington, but Linkin Park is not just him. Linkin Park started without him to begin with.

I actually agree with a lot of things you said about Mike and his grief. And also the band moving on. However I am just not comfortable with the new singer having connections to Scientology. It makes everything Linkin Park does seem so suspicious. I don’t want it to be true and I don’t want Linkin Park to have any connection to Scientology. I want it to be just a conspiracy and I want the band and Mike to be able to move on and be happy again. But it doesn’t seem so genuine anymore in context with Emily’s links to Scientology.

Alot of people blame Mike the most in this whole comeback and put allegations on him left and right. I just wish people can decide to just support if they still like the music or leave it if they just feel they no longer like the music/band and just stop the hate and bashing coz that just cause chaos for the fans and that also affects the band aswell. we already lost Chester because of depression we shouldn't be vehicles of that enemy who took down Chester.

I was ready for a video that shits on Mike as usual, but that was way more interesting. I find myself agreeing to everything you say and I am one of the few it seems. Chester would like his friends to be happy, creating music for the fans they all loved and cared so much about. People are used to being entitled and negative, they cannot accept that the band wants to keep making music for themselves and for the fans.

They all deserve to be happy. I just dont want to hear anyone else singing the songs Chester sang, it really just isnt the same, she doesnt give it 1/4 of the passion that he did. I love Linkin Park but i feel that with a new band member they should be singing new songs if that makes sense?

I'm so sick of people. Hand waving away genuine criticisms of Mike shinoda and Linkin Park management. Emily Armstrong is a member of a human trafficking cult, a cult that is hidden and in a lot of cases perpetrated some of the most horrendous crimes you can imagine. She herself showed up to support and defend a serial rapist and tried to harass and intimidate one of his victims. For anybody who needs a better understanding of Scientology and it's unbelievably horrid practices I highly recommend a book titled " a billion years my life in the highest ranks of Scientology " by a guy named Mike rinder. That book goes into excruciating and blood-curdling details of the horrific crimes committed by an organization that Emily Armstrong is a member of. An organization, which by the way has adamantly fought against the concept of psychiatry and mental health treatment, which is even worse considering she is replacing someone who spent their entire life dealing with mental health issues, including depression and trauma brought on by childhood SA. Mike's shinoda deserves every bit of flack that he's getting for this, not only for his poor choice of recruitment, but for his complete unwillingness to address these issues and condemn the cult of signedology.

Thank you for saying all this. I`m so sick of seeing people disrespecting the members of Linkin park. If you like the band then you should respect the band`s choice to continue making music.
