This video only reflects my personal views and thoughts and not the views of Sabbath Social, Drunken Divinations, or anyone else that have appeared or may appear on the show or segments and projects that are involved with me.
I simply watched some #occultea videos and recently learned some information that I thought other members of our "community" would be interested . In this video I have only stated what was shared publicly on social media and am sharing my own thoughts, feelings and opinions. I hope this finds everyone well.
New subscriber here. So glad I found this video I've been subscribed to her for years and today I saw that her channel was all cleared out. Religious trauma keeps me away from Christianity as well so thank you for the heads up. She was a wonderful creator and I'm personally disappointed she's going a different route but sadly I've seen lots of former pagans going the Doreen Virtue path. I can't backslide into Christianity for so many personal reasons and as a native american I cannot follow the religion that harmed so many of my ancestors🩵

Yeah I just found out about this a few days ago. I have to admit it hit me a little hard .She was my first inspiration here on this path and I feel like a huge chunk of that is just gone.
Same! Especially since I have been to her home and have done ritual with her.
It’s totally ok and healthy to feel these things. It doesn’t all have to be good for her and we are so happy for her .
This reminds me of when Doreen Virtue renounced spirituality and divination and became a Christian. Ladygravedancer was a RUclips OG, and a lot of us are upset. Everyone has the right to live their life, but it does feel odd that she left RUclips so quietly. Perhaps she was scared of the backlash (I know most of our community is supportive, but as a content creator, I also know some people can be so ruthless through the screen). She has also done this once before but her conversion didn’t stick so maybe she is saving her channel in case she comes back again. I get that it’s her own life, but it feels like she turned her back on the community.
This is why I just wish these people would leave the pagan community silently. Because let's say she does make a video giving her conversion testimonial explaining why she left, it brings negative attention to the pagan and witchcraft community. Then let's say she comes back a year from now and decides she's a witch again. The damage is already done. How can you say that you're having genuine magical experiences then turn around and you're saved by Jesus, and then flip around a year later to come back again? It's probably better for her just to figure it out on her own without making a public statement. I say just let her go in peace. If she could manage to make a video without disparaging her experiences as a pagan or a witch that would be cool but most conversion/testimonial videos I've seen don't go that route.
Yea I didn’t know she’s converted before and that gives me more ick. To me it means that she does respect her viewers and we are numbers she can put away and pull out again when she is ready to engage again? Idk just feels fake to me. Not “authentic”
@@BlueNightt exactly. I want to say the first time it was because she felt pressured by family (I could be wrong but I think I remember her saying that). The whole thing just feels like she isn’t being transparent. Maybe she doesn’t think she owes us that but after building such a big platform it just feels off. I also noticed that Noah Tempestarii only has a few videos up and hasn’t posted on insta since 2022. They used to be close friends. Anyways I hope he is doing okay because I miss him.
I guess you're right that she may come back. Look at Taleisin McKnight (Clint McInnis) for example. He's very well known in Ceremonial Magic and does Hoodoo too. He converted to Orthodox Christianity but he kept his channel and made his videos hidden instead of deleting them. Years later, he came back to the occult community. Dunno what came in his head to do that but I'm glad that he's back. I guess it's 2-3 years now since that happened.

Very good choice of words and subject structure! I too have felt a huge loss, actually a feeling of shock and mourning. She was very instrumental in my path. It’s so hard to gather my thoughts on this. She provided so much guidance and introduced me to an amazing community which embraced me like none other. I’m glad you shared your thoughts on this.
Glad you are sharing your views/opinions on here. I'm not fully invested in what happens in the community often. I think people are entitled to explore and walk their path. However, I feel happy for her based on the information I gathered. I think it's beautiful to explore other belief systems. I also find it interesting to see how many people feel so connected to her. It's sweet, but also I noticed how many are mourning her as a witch. I'm hoping this doesn't sound offensive in any way; it feels like a majority of people are making assumptions or assuming the worst. I think that's also beautiful but. We also forget that we don't have all the informationaltogether,, so we shouldn't make any assumptions until she feels comfortable coming out to discuss her choices in a video or post. Overall, I don't judge her. As for religious trauma, it's valid, and props to you for removing yourself. As someone who worked on their religious trauma, it's a process in itself that took me a while to understand. I wish you love and healing because I was there at one point in time.
I'm inquisitive to get more of her side. I don't take it as her being sneaky or deceptive. The internet will always be the internet. Everyone either takes it to the 9s or takes it too far. Then again, that's why I don't like being invested in everything seen, or, I guess, "drama." I was shocked when I learned about LGD. Like many of you, I was inquisitive as to what led up to her making that choice, but in the end, it's her personal journey, and if she decides she doesn't want to share everything online, then I think we should wish her well. Additionally, in my opinion, she was being careful with how she maneuvered her transition to Christianity because unfortunately not everyone will be supportive. I'd like to think that she thought about how everyone would feel and didn't want any of us to feel sad or mourn LGD. She wanted to avoid that for all of us but you know free will. We can hope she would come back to discuss everything but who knows. I wish her nothing but the best. I'm very proud of her and wish her so much positivity. :( Everything that you have shared feels down the lines of someone mourning. It makes you question your entire belief system; however, be careful with that type of thinking. Personally, it's healthy to question certain things about your belief system. At least with witchcraft, I always learn something new about myself. :( It feels like you're mourning a friend/mentor. I hope you're checking in with friends, supportive people, etc.; SORRYYY for the long comment, lol. I wanted to share my thoughts. This video was very interesting.

You know what the fact that people are being so dismissive concerning the situation in words for used and you know what people are really hurt by specific memes and things that were said and clearly when someone is hurt by actions or words they're not allowed to say that on here they're accused of being a starter of drama playing a victim or personal information being made public as a form of silencing someone racism misogyny ableism homophobia transphobia and bigotry are very prevalent as well as bullying and past framing within this community and no one wants to have those difficult conversations just like no one wants to have those difficult conversations when it concerns religious trauma clearly this community isn't what I thought it was
any religion who says their religion is the ONLY right religion is a fear based religion and I don't want any part of it. There is no such thing as only one way back to source if that is even something people want to believe happens. we have the freedom on this earth to explore anything we want, I would add hopefully we try not to hurt others in the process. I have a real life friend who posts stuff like that on her FB page and I know some of it is aimed at me since she knows me personally. But I don't ever see myself going back to a fear based religion.
And that religion causes SO MUCH HARM and often in the NAME of “love.”

Thank you for the video. Well, I have really missed her and her videos.. truly, just her in general. Faith and belief systems are such a personal thing.. I have learned to edit people and things that may not resonate with my “personal” beliefs BUT I still love the person and enjoy their content, perspective, food for THOUGHT. I am subscribed to people here and on instagram (rarely ever on FB anymore) who’s opinion’s and ideology, Do not resonate with me But I still love the person. Tequilla used to be very Christian and posted a lot about it before, so while I am surprised, she has done it before so. And that is okay! Tequilla of course does not owe anyone anything, she is her own person, and I am happy for her that she found Jesus, as long as she is not harming others. The memes you showed are actually very harmful and triggering to read, I am very disappointed Tequilla posted those, no excuse for that and it honestly does change things because that is not the PERSON (witch or not) she portrayed and we have come to know. Everything you said here is valid, it is what we are all thinking.
Nathan you know I love you; but as I sit here realizing I shouldn’t have microwaved my cheese dip in the plastic container it came in… I have come to the conclusion that I have an unpopular opinion. Nevertheless I am known to keep my mouth shut sooo here we go. I don’t think tequila owes anyone anything. She was a witch yesterday, she found Jesus today … maybe she will find her left sock tomorrow. It doesn’t matter.She is on her own path. What she does today doesn’t change what you experienced with her yesterday. It was an authentic experience for you regardless of her intentions now or then. She changed the witchy RUclips community for a lot of people including me. I don’t need to look behind the curtain and question her intentions then. What’s done is done. Maybe she kept her page to become lady prayer warrior and share the word with all of us heathens.… maybe she wants to go back and watch her family vlogs… maybe she just wasn’t ready to let go. If you don’t like who she is now you don’t have to be friends with her. The only thing that matters is who YOU are and staying true to who you are whether it be a witchy way or another way. Ladygravedancer switching sides shouldn’t change that. Your path is the only one you need to worry about everyone else is irrelevant. I first wanna say sorry for seeing this so late as it was apparently stowed away in a file called “held for review” which honestly I didn’t know existed until today 😅
I agree she doesn’t owe us anything, I thought I made that clear in the video when I stated it was her channel and it’s always her right to do whatever she wants with said channel.
My intention for the video was not to come for her for switching to Christianity specifically but was rather to point out why I will no longer be associating with her. As content creators when we choose not to discuss another creator or we avoid their content or in this situation we unfriend each other, observant viewers would probably notice.
My intention is not to cancel her, as she’s done that to herself by taking her content down. I simply wanted to explain my personal feelings and opinions as I noticed they were different than what I was seeing posted. A lot of people were saying that she has their support in this change in paths and I even stated in the video that I think that’s great!
However I also don’t see any harm in myself disagreeing with her posts and with her switch, regardless of what path she switched to. We always say witchcraft isn’t just love and light, and I think that my feelings reflect that, and I also think that responses like this one is why a lot of us creator are “scared to talk about it” as stated in The Witch of Enchantments video. I never stated I had a problem with her being Christian, I did however state that the content she was posting on her new FB page does not sit right With me PERSONALLY. So yes I am attempting to claim and take responsibility for MY own feelings and actions.
With all of that being said. I love you too! I’m sorry you disagree but I’m happy you also had a platform to discuss your feelings on my channel 🥰 Also, Yes I admired I would be using the title as click bait and the fact that I have gotten more views and comments on this video than my previously posted video (including from you) proves that, sadly. Which sucks but is just the nature of creating content I guess 🤷♂️😅

Shadiness in the pagan community is a tale as old as time, every five to ten years a new batch of people come in, assimilate the culture and the cycle continues. All this goes back to the 80s and 70s.
Agreed and it's usually the ones who come in the loudest, trying to make a name for themselves and garner attention right off the bat.

"There is no pagan community so lets build one!" the reality is that the youtube pagan community is no0t a new thing, the current gaggle of content creators are just a series of people going all the way back to the early 2000s, who in turn came in the wake of bloggers and messege boarders. Honestly, I've never heard of this 'LadyGraveDancer" so to disagree with Nathan I'm going to say she's not been a piller of anything except for a few. I also wonder when people have more than 20k subscribers... how many of those are actually real and not purchased... but thats a whole other discussion. Those with staying power usually are connected to the 'community' in multiple ways, but I see quite a few youtubers just like tiktokers, vines before them, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram all of the social medias.. quite a few of them claim there is no community when it's all around them. Then they create videos about 'uncovering the history' as though it's some secret, and they are applauded by their audiences for uncovering the history, when it was well known by those of us who've been around for a while. and then quite as suddenly, they stop creating content, and the fickle nature of social media continues on without them and they get forgotten as a new batch of influencers begin channels and start creating 101 videos. Over and Over and Over. and the same dramas, the same conversations, the same UPGs and conclusions are come to, repeat. it's like a friend of mine whose been around a while too said, 'only a handful of each batch have staying power.'

But yea I agree with you, none of it is new 🥰 but if we are going to engage in providing these numbers I feel we should also try and all be educated in how this works right? @@BlueNightt I know you were trying to be kind :P . the benefit of having been around the community for a long time is I can see through people who try to puff themselves up or try to claim a role of leadership or eldership when they are clearly not. The bullshitters on tiktok are a good example of this. Recently a youtuber did a whole video on why we don't see more advanced content from all these channels and stumbled and pussyfooted about the obvious reality which is that channels that offer a lot of 101 content are incapable of making advanced content because they just don't know it themselves. That will change as people grow in their practice... but don't sit there and try to say you're not making intermediate content because you don't think people will be able to handle it, there is *plenty* of intermediate and advanced content on these old interwebs lol... inability to see it is no excuse nor does it mean it doesn't exist.
This LadyGraveDancer may or may not have had something good, but to pull a Doreen Virtue says a lot about where they were at in their personal journey. I know plenty of practitioners who practiced witchcraft then decided to head back into a direction of their birth faith and were perfectly comfortable with their content before. Maybe it's easy for me to be critical here because I don't know them at all, but this person seems like they were a grifter, picking this witchcraft mallarcky up for likes and views or their own entertainment. and if they were mostly known on youtube and were posting since 2013... where have they been? I mean look at quite a few of the other 10+ year practitioners floating about: writing books, doing podcasts, having spoken at events... they're known in other ways. many of them started out on blogs, or livejournal, or paganspace etc,. Not to wordwall your post dearest nathan :P just being honest.

Hey BlueNightt! I don't comment very often on RUclips but I started watching you, tequilla, raven flower, nightshade moon, Noah, Wednesday, and many more years ago! I loved the pagan community and used to love those late night live streams, but things started to feel different, almost fake with some witches. This is not her first time to transition too christianity. I could be wrong but I think this makes two or three times now! I get what you're saying though, it kinda feels like a slap in the face. It feels like she was wearing a mask huh. Well you do you and I'll do me, and we fly at the witching hour lol!

I love Lady Gravedancer, but for some reason it really hurt to see she became christian. Like she turned her back on the community she had around her. She has every right to live her life the way she wants. It just feels hard to see. Her and her work really helped me learn, grow and accept myself for who I am as a witchcraft practitioner. It feels like a massive loss to me, if that makes any sense. I am glad to see I am not the only one feeling conflicted or off (?) on this topic. I will be happy for her and happy that she is doing what she feels best for her, but it's all at arms length now. Like okay, you're happy over there, I'll stay happy over here and I hope you take care. Also, I don't know if it is just me, but I feel like witches who convert to christianity leave like a negative mark on witches/witchcraft. Because it's like all those negative christians who call us devil worshipers and satanist and other disrespectful things get this feeling like, "ha, we're right. look, even you're own people are turning on you." Not that, that is what is happening, but it makes them feel like they got more fuel for their hateful fire. Gives them a false boost of ego. It is what it is. I just want to move on and I hope she is happy with her life.

Wow I'm completely shocked! Maybe I'm very naive but I never thought she would do this lol. Its so out of left field for me, I guess I'm still processing it and don't really know how to feel. Like Boujeemystic said below, it's almost like a mourning because I feel like I'm going through phases: denial, trying to understand, questioning, wondering if anything she said at all was real, and many other feelings. lol. Of course, she is an adult and she can do what she wants, but how disrespectful to the people that learned from her, talked to her, watched her, cared for her and to not even say goodbye or anything? Like you said, people dmed her asking if she was ok! I just don't think it was handled very well.
Yikes! I spent the majority of my life trying to undo being brainwashed from being raised in a Christian home.. I can't comprehend how one would ever want to go into something that is such a hateful religion, prejudice religion and oppressing religion.. I feel bad for her, this actually speaks volumes. She can do as she pleases, although I can't trust someone who jumps back and forth from a religion like that. Makes me question if they're actually as loyal as they claim to be to their God.
Not many people had her on FB so she should have made a video and posted like a grown woman instead of ghosting everyone. If she didn't want backlash, literally just turn off the comments and walk away.
She had so many friends, and those posts give me the ick. Like imagine all of her witchy friends having to see that?

I once stopped being witchy, not renounced but just stopped cause you know life was hectic. But I never converted back to those paths. The witchy path called for me for a reason.
The amount of friends I have made in this community is surprising to me because I'm normally shy and everyone is so important to me. I can't imagine suddenly posting things that would just make any of you uncomfortable or feel targeted or like you're wrong for believing in what you do. It's just wrong to me just imagining it.
I wouldn't mind a new thing like an Occultea show from you. Almost like a news report from Sabbath Social, that would be fun and would help me know what is happening in the community cause I'm always so lost these days. 💀

My goal is to just say that it’s ok to not agree with friends decisions. It’s ok to choose different paths.

Honestly, i still feel like someone is going to pop in and say this whole thing is a prank. It just feels like a fever dream or something.
But I'm glad you spoke up about your feelings about this. Makes me realize that I'm not the only one who felt lied to because I've been watching her for so many years.
I was thinking, and I just feel bad for her dolls and for Hekate. Like a part of me is just wondering if she just threw them out or gave them away. Both options are pretty offensive to them either way but...eh.
I've never understood radical spiritual belief changes or flip flopping back and forth between two extremes. I do understand our spiritual path can ( and should) branch out, our views may change over time, we may go down one path and turn back or go a different direction, there are ebbs and flows. Its all very personal.

I took down my video, not because it was wrong as what I said is true generally, but because I am not on the witchy YT much anymore because I hate drama, I really REALLY hate drama, and I don't hate anyone here, I'm just exhausted from trying to survive my life that is overwhelming me. I plan on doing a new video, not to feed into any drama, but to go deeper on some things that I think really need to be addressed in general that seem to be taboo to bring up. I love everyone, wish no ill to anyone, and from my heart I just wish everyone could get along, but I know that just isn't going to happen. Thanks for sharing your truth, I'll be sharing mine later on, I just have to find my way to express my heart, knowing that no matter how hard I try, there will be people who twist what I say, because that is just how some seem to roll nowadays. But let me say this... when your "spiritual path" is preformative, in your face, rigid, full of rules and dated ideas and you worship your divinity and iconography quiet literally.... its not a stretch to go Christian. You trade out your giant pentagrams for giant crosses. Real spiritual growth is quiet and personal and cerebral and weird and you cant effectively put that on RUclips I dont think. Rules are for fools. Free your mind and the rest will follow. 🌙✨️✌️🌈

While I am deeply deeply saddened by her leaving the craft,I won't hold it against her...I am married to a Christian, my mom and daughter and a lot of my family follow christianity and I'll admit it can be kind of lonely as well as a bit exhausting sometimes because we tend to butt heads on a regular basis...lol
Whether this is her experience or not I wish her well on her chosen path and I hope that it brings her joy.
Personally I do not understand why witches believe they have to become part of the Christian religion just to follow the teachings of Jesus,you don't ...jmo 🤷♀️

You are not the only one to feel the way you do by far. I could not believe it, my first thought was WTF? Those of us with religious trauma can't help but think she betrayed us all.
Tequila’s channel was one of the first, if not the very first, witchy RUclips channels I discovered back in 2014. She was a big influence in my practice and especially about following your own intuition and what feels right to you. She was a big inspiration for why I started making my own RUclips videos too.
I usually don’t comment but I feel this needs to be said. Honestly I don’t see the point in making this video- seems like you are just trying to stir up drama. To me this feels very bash-y and unnecessary. If you are honestly worried about her then why not try reaching out rather than posting a gossipy video publicly?
People change over time and just because she is now following a different deity it doesn’t change the past and your previous experiences with her and her content. If you feel “taken for a ride” that’s on YOU and not her. Parasocial relationships are real but it’s each of our own responsibilities to realize that just because we love watching peoples videos and stuff they don’t owe us anything. Her path was valid back then as a witch and it still is now as a Christian. There is nothing sketchy about her taking down her videos either. It’s not her path anymore and at times even goes directly against her current beliefs, so it makes sense she’d want to take that stuff down. She doesn’t owe you or anyone else online any explanation. In the same way you can follow your own path so can she. Thee is no one “right” path and as long as you aren’t hurting anyone all paths are valid.
I will miss seeing Tequila’s videos but I wish her luck on her journey and hope she finds what’s she’s looking for.

I find it funny that you (and several others) take away only that I am “bashing” her choice in religious paths and not at all addressing the fact that she did post memes on her new social media that invalidates and mocks religious trama as an experience. You know, similar to me saying there is only one way which btw I never said. I am however blaming her for her triggering memes and in the video I am simply explaining my personal feelings and an explanation of my actions in un friending her on FB. I think just like pagans will post pagan related memes that Christian’s or other religious people don’t like it’s the same thing with her posting Christian related stuff. It’s fine if you don’t like it or agree with it but I still don’t see the point in making a public video about it when you know it’s just going to stir up drama.

This breaks by heart. She was a great influence in my practice of witchcraft. And was one of the first I watched. I'm glad she is happy, but I will stick with Paganism.

I have labeled myself Omnist, which is the only label I can truly relate too. My opinions and beliefs are still changing as I take every day in and progressively move forward into the future. I can respect everyone else’s opinions and beliefs because I can never righteously judge another according to my own beliefs 😅 So, this is entirely my own belief, when i say this…..the memes you posted on her behalf do seem to be a step backwards in her journey. And yes, everything is but a half truth, in my hermetically induced opinion. Which is why I leave myself open to listening to others opinions and beliefs, since their journey is entirely different than my own. So, I know for myself, how important it is to listen and consider someone else’s opinions and beliefs. It’s taken many lessons to be who I am today, lol. I do believe that her authenticity is in question when I think of why she would choose to not eliminate her channel and not be an open book to her previous community also. It does seem odd. For some reason I think her account still got hacked & someone is pretending to be her. She disliked the Christian path so much. Even in her vlogs she would rag on them. Her husband was Christian(or was he catholic? Tomato tamoto), but regardless she still did her thing. I remember some years back in 2016-17is Her account was the way it is now. Just showed the name & the content disappeared. Not sure if it was because of inactivity, or she got hacked back then.

Of course anyone can do whatever they want with their platform but I also feel like content creators have a bit of responsibility to their communities (well I think everybody does but that’s a whole other discussion), and when people do this, it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth and makes me question their integrity. When I "discovered" I was a witch. That's another story. My point is that reverting to Christianity is such a back step. Jesus was a way shower if anyone really reads the research. We have the Power. All religion is about control. Jesus / God will save anyone. We have to save ourselves. So for people who are still on their knees. I have mixed feelings. People always want an explanation when people change spiritual paths but then they bash them when the answers arent what they want to hear. Ive been there when witchy creators went Christian and made videos explaining why. They got torn to shreds. Anyone remember WildMoonWoman? Making a video would be pointless. None of the audience is going to understand because we have no interest in being Christian. I wouldnt personally be Christian. I like being a witch. But people changing isnt the same thing as being inauthentic. Sometimes people change and things that once called to them dont anymore. This is why it's best to not get overly attached to content creators. They are people just like everyone else and they can change just like everyone else

An experience I had when I found out someone in my family hurt another and I was sooo furious that on the outside, I may have looked crazy because of it. My mother in law used this opportunity to try and convert me to Mormon, saying that Jesus or praying will take that anger, that loud noise and quiet it and make it go away. She got my polite no, but inside, I saw through it and was ashamed for her that she was a opportunist like this.
The situation, deserved anger, and I found my own way, taking responsibility for my own feelings.

Lady Gravedancer was the first person I found through YT, and has been a consistent reference source for me for over 10 years. I have many similar vibes and feels that you do. I also have hope that maybe her path will come back round - it has in the past. Thank you for speaking on this, had you not I would not have found out until I went to her channel. @@CloudedGreens in the same breath, I also feel like a lot of pagans maybe feel that the pagan path is the right path and only path and vice versa with Christianity. I myself work with Jesus, though am not Christian or a Christian witch, he is just as powerful as any other deity I work with. So I do find it interesting the division between the two and that she felt she had to pick one or the other when both paths are equally valid in full or mixed. Regardless, she's doing her, I just really would appreciate all those videos to go back up because that's the content I send to nonwitchy friends who are having problems and need a quick spell or ritual idea. :/
