Shouldn’t each time Babylon rises Christ will conquer it and then continue to grow?
I’ve thought that Israel might repent and return to Christ when they see the blessings of God poured out on all the Gentile nations, realizing that they should’ve had the relationship with God that the Gentile nations have (at the end of time even they are saved).
this is what I've found out since I came to faith and started researching what I was being told in the church and its this futurism/dispensationalism or pretism was brought into the protestant church by the jesuits 200yr ago to hide the RCC bcos historicism points out the papacy.

The orthodox study bible is good, includes orthodox canon books commentaries by church fathers and is essentially nkjv

Is there a book solely dedicated to explaining how to do hermeneutics using an Orthodox Christian perspective? Not so much a specialized analysis of certain texts, but moreso the fundamental starting block and methods. I'm not classically educated or presently a college student.
Patristic Hermeneutics by Christos Arabatzis might be what you're looking for. I read it some years ago and I really liked it, but I can't remember much detail now.
Jay, concerning what you explain starting @ 34:14, are there any books you can recommend that expound on The Apocalypse being the Orthodox Liturgy?
Aside from an article from J Gospel Net entitled "Worship in the Book of Revelation and the Eastern Orthodox Liturgy", I wasn't able to find anything. The vast majority of search results deal with why Revelation isn't canonical and read during liturgy.

When talking about the (spirit of the) Antichrist in the other verses in1 john and 2 john John seems to be talking about the gnostic heretic false teachers who didnt believe Jesus to have come in de flesh (but only in spirit since gnostic believed flesh wasn't holy).
So there seems to be a distinction between the antichrist (gnostics) and the beast (nero) the lawless one (john levi from Josephus) and the Prince of Daniel 9 (Jesus).
What do the church fathers say about the antichrist and the beast? Is there a distinction?

After hearing your talk I was knocked over by the idea that what difference does it make what I say or do about this new bolshevik-style revolution that is gaining momentum all over the west? If it is destined, as the Bible seems to tell us, that THE anti-Christ and a long period of hellish darkness come upon us, maybe it's best to just forget about trying to affect the course the world is taking, and recede into some sheltered space and just focus on the daily spiritual living?
Like, if it's destiny, you can't fight it, right? - why bother trying? I've put a lot of time and energy into informing and alerting people about Agenda 2030 and the many and various evils and iniquities of the global deep state and its various mini-anti-christ agents.
Not I'm reconsidering it all.

Krista Soots-Marchildon I held a very similar position and basically did leave it to some extent. People do need to be alerted to what is going on but only to the degree that they change their ways and follow Christ and become a member of his body in order escape all the darkness that is spreading throughout the world and the souls of humans.
Pursue Christ and struggle against the demons who are waging war against your soul and when the opportunity presents itself, tell someone else about what you know. But definitely don’t be an alarmist trying to wake people up to escape the spreading evil and darkness and forget to escape it yourself.

There probably is an inbuilt mechanism calibrating fate, prophecy and how things actually play out on the ground. Fore-knowledge allows for rejection of a catastrophic fate and, through Christ, the powerful revisioning and shaping of a different outcome...

The controversial beliefs of some evangelicals that Dyer mentions is true but not all evangelicals hold them universally. A good example are Thomas S. Horn, Michael S. Heiser, and those from Defender Publications.
I don't understand how you can read Gentry and Chilton and still believe that there will be an anti-christ figure at the end of time. I am exploring orthodoxy but it seems like post-millennialism has the best interpretation of eschatology, and would exclude having an anti-christ in the future as the gospel is victorious.

Kurt simmons has 2 wonderful books on Daniel called Addumbrations and the consummation of the ages, which is commentary on Rev. Both are very informative in the judgement of israel in 70 A.D.
Id contend however that full preterism the position. The church fathers do teach partial preterism but there is no heavy interpretation of another fitting tyoe beyond 70 A.d.

You leave out the unprophesied interruption by Christ as He reveals Himself to Paul. Christ according to the mystery as revealed to Paul. The Abomination of Desolation occurs in the future when the antichrist himself sits on the throne in the temple claiming to be God.
