There's a documentary now on Radio 4 Extra, and Parkinson said he could never even look at him without laughing. I came here to find the time he wore chicken feet and a saucepan on his head! {:-:-:}
The only comedian I know that doesn't even have to speak to make you laugh.. His facial expressions and stance is enough to get you rolling on laughter
the BEST quality ànd the BEST total-filed interview with MIchael Parkinson and Tommy Cooper i found and see+hear ... 👍👍👍👍🥳🙃... please save it safely !!
What I absolutely love about Tommy Cooper, Morecombe and wise is the fact they can be so funny without swearing constantly and I could watch them with my kids. Don't get me wrong I love chubby and newer ones but these guys will always be my favourite ❤
When I was about 7, he would occasionally l guest in the Saturday night variety show on the BBC. I loved him then and app 70 years on, I still love him just as much. A Brilliant Entertainer and a genius. ❤ Richard Lubbock
What a comedian! His trick reminded me of an old song Hitler, he only had one ball, Goering had two, but they were small. Himmler had something similar, but poor old Goebells had no ball at all!
A master at comic timing and expression Pleasant natured humour. Weak material in the hands of a genius gives us laughter within our reach. His brilliance is difficult to emulate but easy to impersonate. Thank you Jesus for him and the talents You gave him.
Is this the one where he almost beheaded Parky on his own talk show? The story goes a slightly drunk, aging Tommy Cooper brought a real-life guillotine to the show, which had a safety catch for his 'trick'. Parky put his head under the blade, and an assistant sprinted on the set to switch the safety on. Cooper was about to use it without the safety! Anyone know if this story is true? How close was it to a disaster? It was apparently edited out of the final cut.
In 1979 someone getting sidetracked on TV was inherently assumed to be intentional and earned a ton of laughs. By 2004 or so, the entire world had acquired a serious case of ADD, and these days it's not unexpected--even commonplace?--to ask someone about their hat and hear how they lost a horse race. The man was both genius and psychic.
A very funny man, genius, worked hard at his art, and a great loss. RIP Tommy Cooper, and thank you for everything.
RIP Parkie
Agreed a sad loss his face alone just standing there with the funny fez hat hysterical
Much as I love Tommy, the best thing about this is watching Parkinson losing it big time - thanks for the upload.

Never ever noticed Toomy Cooper using bad language! That in itself is something about the man!
Simply saying "Cheese" was funny.
Different times then, not so much swearing on TV shows as there is now.
You spelled his name wrong. It's Toomy Copper
@@finncullen You did as well.
@@pedrosa144 It should be Coomy Topper!🤣

Yeah, both very funny men but Tommy was tops for me - he only had to walk on stage to have you in hysterics
One of Tommy Cooper's very, VERY rare BBC performances (most of his work was at ITV).
Tommy could come on stage, say and do virtually bugger all and get a standing ovation (quite rightly!!!)
His face is gold never had to say anything, best ever, nobody comes close
Just a very very FUNNY MAN.😁
He Was Brilliant,,,,Gone to SOON,, RIP TOMMY

Funny man, my childhood Saturday night wouldn't have been the same without him 😅
Two absolute gentlemen so totally missed.
Two greats in the world of entertainment, having the last talk show in the sky right now!! (Wonder if Rod took Emu?)

Tommy had it right about the EU
Just been in Morocco and bought a fez...A Taboosh in memory of Tommy...
The subtitles on this are funny too.

I knew it as..." Hitler he only had one ball, the other is in the Albert Hall, his mother, the dirty bugger, put there when he was small "

Easily.

Check your pulse 😂
Is this very funny Tommy Cooper any relation to the Tommy Cooper who regularly beat his wife?
According to his daughter, these alegations are untrue.
It must really hurt that Tommy was
successful and rich while you are a nonentity ? Why not just accept
that you're a failure and try to move on ?
I will, just as soon as you admit you refuse to acknowledge the truth, that you are in favour of domestic abuse and violence. Let me know when…
