NOW THIS DUCK!!!!!!!!!!
Fell off my chair laughing 😆😆😆
Why, it was just a wooden duck?
3 words - that's all it was, nothing funny about them. But I agree, the way he delivers it, it's just funny. Tommy was special.
The most simplest things he would somehow make it funny 😄
Tommy Cooper was a very talented magician and the world is a much sadder place with out Tommy Cooper we never thought that he would die on stage God bless you Tommy Cooper and RIP thanks for the memories Tommy
One of the best
As sad as it was, in a way it was sort of fitting
I still can’t believe it’s been 38 years since he died, he is a legendary man and I hope his name does not leave the earth for years and years to come
The duck trick is one of his best if not THE best ever. I have seen it many times and it is unsurpassed.
Tommy Cooper was a true Legend!
THE Bestest ever. This is a Masterclass in Performance Art.
I was lucky enough to see Tommy Cooper live back in the day.
The matinee performance of a revue show was about to be cancelled as there was only 6 tickets sold.
However Tommy insisted that the show must go on.
He was as professional as they come that afternoon and it was a privilege to see him shine.
Those failed magic tricks were totally deliberate, he knew how to work an audience and without doubt, he was one of the greatest British Comedians of all time.
Tommy was a one off . He was so relaxed he made it look so easy . Superb
Thanks for all the laughs Tom you will always be a legend🌟
More than likely

My friend saw him in Liverpool and the stage was empty apart from a gate and you could hear him laughing. The crowd were losing it before he came on and then went into hysterics when he appeared and simply walked through the gate. Genius.
I saw that at a club in Surrey your right just magical
I love Tommy and that deep, hearty laugh of his! RIP Tommy you will always be loved! Emily from Missouri!!😊😊😊
Over 40 years later and his humour has lost zero impact. A legend.
The bit with the tree leaf was just hilarious!
Nobody else couldn't do things the way Tommy could! Pure magic! 😂
Only Tommy could have thought of blindfolding a duck! He'll never be forgotten or surpassed❤❤
That part had me laughing! 😂
That effect was one you could purchase from a magic shop at the time, and it came with suggested patter. Bascially it was designed as a 'reveal' effect, to select the top card, after a force or control of the selected card to the top of the deck. Cooper never bothered with any of that, he just saw the prop's comic potential, and ran with it. Legend.
Tommy was the only magician who got an applause for getting it wrong and a standing ovation for getting it right. RIP Tommy Cooper. Comedian, Magician and Entertainer
As an American, I've always preferred and appreciated British comedy, more so than American comedy. British comedy is clever.
Same here!!!!
You must love monty python
@@staringcorgi6475 I once read some of the Pythons saw him in the 50s and that sparked the chaotic but intelligent approach to humor
The best British comedy is clever and funny whereas American humour is generally not very clever or even funny!
@@MrTrapper28 American humor has changed through the decades! Buster Keaton; The Marx Brothers and Abbott and Costello were funny back in the day! Now we have unfunny rude comedians strung out on drugs.!! I seldom watch TV anyway because most of it is garbage!!!!
2020 and still one of the funniest comedian s thanks to RUclips. Brilliant
You can tell there was no buzzing light telling the audience when to laugh. Truly refreshing
In stitches! Pure genius!
One of the best all those great comedian s are gone but not forgotten especially Tommy That great kind of humour is not around today as it was in the good old days
Funniest man that ever lived. Expressions are priceless.
That last trick...just thinking about it sets me off. Best of the best..RIP Tommy
My dad loved Tommy Cooper. He went to see him once and said Tommy was just stood behind the curtain and laughed, and within several minutes my dad reckoned the whole audience was in stitches, Tommy not having spoken a single word.
Tommy to me is effortlessly funny
A Genius behind the character that is so silly He's hilarious.
Age of Comedy so greatly missed..💙
God Bless
Tommy Cooper..🕊🌿
A Giant in Comedy that still raises our spirits in 2021..
A true success in life
To make others smile and laugh...
Best job in the world..
There will never be another Tommy Cooper...
R.I.P.....
Well said!!!! RIP THE LEGEND THAT WAS TOMMY COOPER!💙
The greatest British comedian of all time. Tommy made me laugh as a kid and as I approach 50 he still cracks me up.
Still funny after all these years♥️
😂
The drum and cymbal on the end one just made it even better 🤣🤣
A blindfolded duck.It could Only be Tommy Cooper God rest his soul.Unique is a word often overused but when applied to this man he was the real deal💓💓😆😆
I love that he laughed along with the audience
Bloody miss this genius! 😀😀😀😀
He was the best ever. Loved him.
It's hard not to laugh along at this!
I was in the UK watching Live at Her Majesty’s when Tommy was suddenly stricken and passed away. He was a true entertainer!
Tommy Copper was born in Caerphilly - South Wales
He may have made a lot of people laugh with doing his magic tricks going wrong but the truth is that He was a very accompished magican I still miss him
There is a statue of him in Caerphilly near Caerphilly Castle!!
The card and duck trick is probably the best he ever did.
Where are the real good entertainers now, I know...entertaining everyone in heaven R.I.P dear Tommy.
I was 30 when Tommy Cooper died on live television. I was watching the show. Many in the studio audience believed it was just another gag, so Tommy passed away with uproarious laughter in his ears. For a comedian, it was a good way to go.
I was privileged to enjoy Tommy Cooper's unique humour during my first 30 years. The best tribute is him is to watch his timeless gags on RUclips over and over again.
when he blindfolded the duck i had to laugh so loud the whole house woke up hahaahahah!
You only had to look at his face and you was in tears of laughter,
the duck trick - so superb!
The very best, Tommy Cooper. Legend.
Watching this man is what got me into my love of comedy. RIP you legend.
He was my fave comedian when I was a kid, nobody could make me laugh like Tommy could.
This man is the top comedian of my lifetime. I'm 77.
I love that he laughs at his own jokes and enjoys himself. Comedians these days don't really do that.
It’s the internet. Young people can’t feel like they’re allowed to validate themselves so they wait for a laugh rather than saying something funny and laughing. More “wanting” to be funny than “knowing” you’re funny. And this man is funny 😂 reminds me of my grandpa so much I’ve heard so many of these jokes before from him but only just found out about Tommy cooper
I saw him perform live once, at Blackpool Winter Gardens... he came on stage with a violin and a framed oil painting: said he'd just bought a Rembrandt and a Stradivarius; unfortunately (he said) Rembrandt makes awful violins and Stradivarius is a terrible painter!
(... as he puts violin through painting!)
Actually a member of the inner magic circle; with outrageous props and comedy magic gone wrong; a skilled entertainer who struck me as naturally funny guy.
Glad that some of his work remains: the bottle/glass; glass/bottle routine is comedy magic magic and in the clip with Princess Ann and Dean Martin; he has the audience rolling in the isles. Almost a privilege to be stung twice...
I think this is probably my favourite of his performances - he did some of those tricks on other occasions, but I think this was the definitive take!
I'm so glad that I grew up with Tommy Coopers brand of humour along with other classics like Benny Hill,
Spike Milligan, Dave Allen and Monty Python.
Peter Gambier Dave Allen was always my favourite...
Those were the best times. 🇬🇧🍺😎👍
Good man Tommy
Benny Hill was demeaning to women.
So am I. They don't make 'em like like that anymore.
his funny witty comedy is amazing :) no one will ever match him for this type of unique comedy :) God Bless Him
Rising damp
Tommy cooper
Tommy Cooper and Morecambe & Wise made my childhood 🤣🤣🤣
He is just so sincere! Tommy was the best of the best!
Other magic acts built their show on getting the act right to plenty of applause. Tommy built his act on getting the act wrong to plenty of applause and laughter.
No-one can beat what this man can achieve.
If you put Tommy Coopers material in the hands of anyone else, it would be ridiculous. In the hands of Cooper it was pure magic.
Proves that he was a comedic genius ❤❤❤❤❤❤
the part where he blindfolds the duck cracked me up xD
And his tricks are amazing, I loved the card trick
Me and my dad's most favorite comedian since I wos a kid aka Tommy cooper the cemediens cemedian
Tommy Cooper was brilliant
I barely even heard of this man, and he's already making me chuckle.
he is one of the greatest comedians ever
He's sooooooo funny 🤣 Loved watching him as a kid in England 😂😂
As soon as I see him, I laugh. He doesn’t have to say anything. 😀 He was a brilliant comedian, magician, and entertainer!
I love prop comedy
Absolutely brilliant! He is a total genius!
Classical one! Great stuff!
Quite simply a Legend
Love this man!
Everyone loves Tommy Cooper
Love Tommy cooper
Ridiculous jokes and you thought he screwed up the card trick, in reality he fooled you. Pure genius.
what alot of people dont realise is that he was a real Magician and a member of the Magic Circle
Tommy WAS a real magician - and he was a genuine member of the Magic Circle! In fact Tommy was a member of the "Secret Six" they were so secret he didn't know the other five! ✌️
By The Way, a friend of mine bought Tommy's trumpet at auction some years ago!
Simon G i
A lot of his humour was screwing tricks up. But occasionally he would let go and do a trick 'properly.'
Tommy Cooper was a brilliant comedian. It was so funny when his magician's tricks went wrong. His famous "Just like that" became a household phrase all over England. Pity he is no longer with us.
NOW THIS DUCK!
🤣... genius.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Tommy Cooper was a brilliant clown/comedian/magician- his ability to turn terrible puns into belly laughs and magic into slapstick is legendary.
(I named my mind reading raccoon Cooper in his memory)!
I love this Man always have and always will.xxx
Much missed. A true original.
I saw Tommy live in 1974. Still laugh about it now. He even made the ex wife laugh, must have been a genius.
He died on stage. It was hilarious
@@user-vh5eh1fu4lYou're morbid
Tommy's memory deserves all the praise it can get, for humour isn't really universal or eternal. But there are so few comics who could merely enter, or crack a few jokes, on anything, with any background of prejudice or culture or promotion, and, get a round of applause. Tommy Cooper could walk on and get a laugh for just being ready to get a laugh. We anticipated a laugh from this subtle, relaxed, versatile comic. Timing.
Tommy bless you genius
HE DIED ON STAGE IT WAS HIARIOUS
Love his style. The card trick was hilarious =D
The best! Very funny with no smut unlike the current brand of so called "comedians".
@IAmLedsterOo
I'm brazilian and I can only thank the internet for knowing Tommy C. There are good comedians here and all around the world, but I can't believe how TC was shown only in UK. His shows should be viewed by everybody. This guy is obviously a genius in comedy. I'm really sorry that's not possible to find his work subtitled, cause when english is your 2nd language you end up missing one thing or two, and so one joke or two too.
Frankly, even as a native english speaker, I don't catch it all
He was famous in Holland too and came to appear on Dutch shows a few times.
It was funny back in the day but people were easily pleased back then and life was so much less complicated. God knows what Tommy would make of it all now.
In the cabinet thing he frightened himself drawing the curtain lol it's just the way he does it he's hysterical. At 5:10 you can see one of the props guys stifling a laugh
never seen a duck. doing a trick .with cars. genius. Tommy cooper
LMAO when he put the blindfold over the ducks eyes :)
My uncle met him in a pub once. It was Tommy's day off so he didn't HAVE to act funny. Nonetheless, being of above average height, Tommy knocked his head off a low doorframe. What did he do? Hand to forehead - and nobody taking any notice - he staggers slightly, "ooh! Did'n see that! Anybody else see it?" And he walks on like nothing happened. A genuinely funny funny man. Greatly missed and still loved. R.I.P. Tommy Cooper. One of the best.
I remember him in the 70s on BBC television, even as a kid he cracked me up.
GunCollector007
P
He was.a genius
The finest Briish comedian of all time
Quality :) God Bless Tommy, you always make us laugh dood :)
He built his show around magicians of the day getting their acts right and he was a very good magician so he thought how about getting the act wrong! Regardless, he only had to walk out on stage and he had everyone in stitches.
He was such a funny comedian.
He was really funny!!!🤣😂🤣😂🤣👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I give Tommy props for all his props!
You can see him over and over..........still laugh, he was one of his own...........
Kelly Norman - are you not well ?
Nobody else could get away with such outrageously bad jokes and make us beg for more. Genius.
Tommy Cooper is a LEGEND!
Tommy Cooper is hilarious.
The part where he blindfold the duck lol.
XD wha ha ha ha.
5:07 horrible foreshadowing. incredible set, still holds up in 2023
He was so funny.
It was just silliness for silliness sake, he was so funny and I was watching when he died on TV and it was terribly sad, but the last thing he would have heard was laughter.
Wonderful!
Crying with laughter watching this :)
a great man :)
I only have to hear his name and I start laughing.
i love the part of the leaf and the duck... the man is a genius! he died too soon
The absolute definition of the rare "having a funny bone".
