What a fabulous video about a fabulous looking metro system. . And loving the unit numbers. And the sunny weather
Nice semi-metro system. And regarding the architecture of the underground stations; totally agree as they're stunning in my opinion.
A northerner on the Southern Spnaish Metro tramlink of Malaga. What could go wrong??? Seriously cool Trams and line overall! I can't get over your glasses they're brilliant :D
Haha glad you like them!
Great vlog of the Malaga metro G, it’s wired to see trams running underground. 33 scents for a tram journey that’s cheap. I enjoyed watching as always.
Cheapest thing there! 😂
Loving your videos as ever G.
Have a fantastic break.
You're looking as gorgeous as ever. X
Hola G and many thanks for a really fantastic vlog & love your Sunglasses and T Shirt and the knickers song is great In Spanish😀
Thanks!
Brilliant video G. I have to say that so far I am hugely impressed with the transport networks there.
Spain and spanish westher must agree with you as you look well indeed. Keep enjoying it.
Aye loved the sunshine!
Thanks for the video G,love the trams 🚊 sun and sooooo clean.Very modern sleek and slim. Will be great when it's bigger and as I say would love a visit!!😎🙂🚋🚋🚋🚋🇬🇧
Yes bigger!!!
That's a steal of a price for each journey, great video G, Malaga Metro! is a nice small network
It really was! We are keeping the cards for next time haha
Hi I Love Watching You Video I do Go To Malaga For My Holiday When I am over there I do bus trains Metro And Plane Over there I hope u enjoy the metro ride I do love your all your video I do trains and trams has well
The trams look nice and roomy! And I suppose 'Ciudad de la Justicia' is a perfectly reasonable name, but if you translate it, 'Justice City' sounds like the setting of a superhero comic. :-)
Haha true
what a great tram system
Nice video! I went myself last year, unfortunately the week before the city extension opened! At that point the lines were operated as one single line, reversing at El Perchel. (Video on my channel but no voiceover!)
Ah cool!
Nice. Is the same CAF tram as in Granada. I did that one, is awesome, has also a few stops underground.
amazing stuff the Malaga Metro trams looks awesome & im liking the look of them & they do look modern & Malaga looks amazing & im loving the Spanish views of Malaga above ground awesome vlog
Fantastic trip round G so clean them stations and loads of space very smooth ride too I'd say thanks for taking us with u 👍🤗
Thanks a lot!
Wow, what a great Tram/ Metro system. So clean and modern, I bet the underground sections are welcome break in high summer when outside will be "Scorchio" 😉.
Love to go there. Very nice city and very nice buildings. 😊
Great video as usual G! People must think you are mad when they see you with your knickers on your head! Which you are of course LOL 🤪!
Wow, that is such a clean and modern looking system. And I like how most of it is underground - must make it really cool in the hot summer days.
Yes it was nice n cool down there 😎
That glorious Sunshine Wow
really pleasant video very nice cheers
Great video, G. I’ve been on trams that pretends to be a metro before - there’s one like this (less modern) in Brussels called a pre-metro. I wonder if that’s what these systems are called?
Great video A brother in law of mine worked building the metro love Malaga
Amazing!
I should hope it does look modern, the system is only 10 years old!
It does look incredibly impressive how spacious the stations are and how much investment has gone into them, which seems disproportionate to the number of passengers they can be carrying, but great to see trams running every 5 minutes on each line ... just shows what can be done when there's the will.
They are building future-proof infrastructure, that's why it's a bit over dimensioned now. Malaga city is growing at one at the fastest paces in Europe, the city is booming now and it doesn't look like this trend will stop soon. More metro and Cercanías (commuter trains) will be built and more and bigger trams and trainsets will come.
And very important, infrastructure construction costs in Spain are very reasonable
Brilliant, G! Well done on visiting all the tram stops on the Malaga Metro!
Cheers!
Great video, some of the stations had some really nice views
Thanks!
It’s a nice little system if not a bit weird. I’m happy to see it gets a decent amount of use from locals. I think it definitely could’ve been a normal tram network where it runs on the surface for most of its length. The most annoying part of the system is that it isn’t integrated under one fare system with the buses. So when I was there, I had to get 2 separate cards. One for the metro and one for the buses.
Why weird? There are a lots of similar systems en the world.
Same in Granada unfort. with seperate cards. Alsa for the buses and a seperate tickets for the tram. Somewhat spoiled we are that in London you can travel within greater London on all modalities, even the cable car and boat with the same Oystercard. In the Netherlands we even have one card for all modalities for the whole country.
What a great working holiday you are having in sunny Spain ... enjoy!! Great time of the year to be there too, cold & wet back home and not too too hot in Spain. Will you be riding the suburban railway along the coast?
I once visited Torremolinos for a winter short breat, the railway line is a great way to travel. And when airfares were cheap I took a daytrip to Torremolinos too, it was 28 December and a lovely time for a walk on the beach!
Didn't ride along the coast this time, sounds great tho!
Simply FANTASTIC.
That looks an awesome tram system, with amazing views when you are out of the tunnels
33 cents per journey. I wish you could travel for those sort of prices in this country
Yeah well good price!
Clean spacious efficient. I could go on.
Interesting.metro of trams. I like the mixture of tunnel and street running, pity Edinburgh did not go for this approach. G fun to spend time with as always.
Wow, what a tram network, So clean & modern than many Metro's hear in the states.
Those trams look very similar to some of ours G very good value for money
Aye same model!
Great video G, you always seem to have the window seat 😊
Those trams look amazing, where they air conditioned?
Brilliant video G, looking forward to the next one.
CAF?! Say no more, you have my complete attention
Haha!
I will have to check that out tomorrow G when I am there 😊.
Fantastic Video. Well Done.
Stunning
STEPS!..... that's a TRAGEDY!
A topical pop pun there🤔😄
Not gonna lie, weather looks stunning
Hi G great content x
YAY! you explored Malaga "Metro" a shame you did not the brand new urbos (4 units) that is runing along side the existing Urbos 3 fleet. There the same ones you can see both in the UK and Australia!!!. Where youe migth be going next? (:
They weren't running on that day with limited service
It's like the Nottingham NET, but shorter!
Brilliant video G, honestly it's weird to think there's trams that mostly go underground. Those trams look nice, apart fromn the fact that there's slippy seats on them lol. 😂
Lol!
It wouldn't be a G video without a mention of a supermarket near one of the stops! 😄Supermercado, por favor!
Lidl and Aldi lol
G Going Europe , love it , hope your enjoying
I am thanks!
Spain looks so much like here in Arizona! Well like a cross between Arizona and Southern California. Such beautiful sun! What a beautiful beach too, thank you for the awesome journey! 😎
Spain is big enough to have different climates. Some parts of the southeastern Mediterranean coast like Málaga, look like Arizona indeed, but others, like the northwestern Atlantic coast, Galicia and Asturias, look like Ireland or Seattle
loved this video, do you ever think that you will make it out to Australia because if you do you have to come to Sydney to ride our trains, trams / light rail and metros I think you will be surprised by how big the Sydney rail system is and also think that you would be blown away by brand new metro
Sounds great!
Buen vídeo G Espero que haya hecho buen tiempo. lol 😆
You are having a great time you could try Copenhagen in Denmark or Berlin in Germany
great video G, do u have any advice for travelling edinburgh tram
Ding ding!
Reminds of the Ret metro in Rotterdam
Utrecht and Amsterdam have the same CAF trams now, only the front and livery is different on those.
Rotterdam Sneltram (lightrail) is just an extension of existing metro lines and is in effect just a metrocar on high platforms, same vehicles, albeit with a pantograph and road level crossings, while CAF Urbos are really low floor city trams that happen to run some parts free from traffic underground.
A very sleek and modern design 😮 Weren't doing slip-and-slides on those seats were you? 🤣
Not intentionally lol 😂
Must be strange having that blue expanse above you!
Yep 😂
Could you please do tram versing the luas in Dublin
Great vlog, as usual. A little tip to help improve your Spanish. They normally emphasis the penultimate syllable when speaking. There are exceptions and they indicate exceptions by putting an accent over the letter. In the station Clínico for example, there was an accent over the first I, because it's an exception, whereas you emphasised the second I. Hope you don't mind me pointing this out. ¡ Disfruta te!
Haha it's alright i tried! 😂
You did a lot better than most Brits could manage. 😊
All these stations look so nice and clean snd so do the trains but them seats look like you would slip off them 😅
Easily done 😂
Tetas blandas always gets me 😂😂😂😂 it should be tetas suaves I reckon 😅😂😂😂
I was informed it is blandas 😂
@@GLovesTrains stick to blandas then, it's already your motto! Enjoy your time in Spain, if you're ever in the Northwest I'd be happy to give you some railway recommendations (Galicia, Asturias, Santander)
The London underground is much older
You can have a modern transport system with investment and without allowing the private sector to rip you off ...... who knew?
clean not like the uk ones dirty
If I went to the Malaga Barbarella metro station I would shout out "BarbaRELLa !"
Hahah!
Granada next stop??
So the Spanish lessons finally pay off!
Owwww, my A level Spanish brain was in constant pain over your English person who can’t speak Spanish pronunciations 😂 🇪🇸
It is a really neat system tho, just needs to be bigger, like every metro
Trains Station 🚉
Announcements in English.........
I swear you showed us the same underground station twenty times. Designed by a concrete loving brutalist, lacking any semblance of charm.
Wow, it looks great, Your lookin great, The trams looked excellent, hope you enjoyed making this video , as much s i did watching it, as one of your new fans I still say " you still Rock" , well done G! 🚉🚋🚊 Oh hope me never woke you up forgot its 2:50am Shoot! Soz.
Haha cheers 🤟
Great entertaining vlog as always, when will your next trip abroad be, and where may I ask? ❤👍
Not a clue, need to save up 😂
