    Did 22000 kms in just a week less than a year.
    My takeaways. Negatives first:
    1) it feels like the wheels are gonna come off when going through rumble strips which are present all over Hyderabad’s roads and flyovers
    2) When on the Outer Ring Road(expressway), it feels shaky when big cars speed across in the next lane.
    3) The doors need to be shut hard. Like it needs effort!
    4) Infotainment system hangs often
    5) AC is average!
    6) There’s no rear fogging/wiper. So good luck on a rainy day especially when there’s fogging due to humidity.
    7) Tyre size can make rides on bumpy Indian roads difficult
    Positives:
    1) The dimensions. The ease with which you can park or reverse or get out of the car from the passenger seat is just 🤌
    2) can literally charge with any 16amp plug
    3) The aeroplane like windows in the rear seat help with claustrophobia. People enjoy the back seat for short rides
    4) Novelty. A lot of eyes. Negative if you are an introvert otherwise if you enjoy the noticing, be prepared for a lot of curious questions by passers-by
    5) It’s so easy to manoeuvre narrow roads and traffic. I literally bypassed big Traffic signals by detouring through the small gullies and bylanes that are hardly 10 feet wide. Life made so easy in urban areas I must say!
    6) wireless CarPlay- the infotainment system and also the option of wireless CarPlay ensures so much more interma of mobility. Every drive of mine is so much more than driving. There’s podcasts I listen to attend calls, all seamlessly without having to be restrained by wired connections
    7) The acceleration 👌🏻 pick up🙌 is so seamless it feels therapeutic
    Overall a great secondary car, that in my case needed being used more than the primary car this year lol😂

      You know I initially thought the same about the rear wiper but my usage wasn't on a highway much so didn't need it, it's for urban use so don't really need it. rear defogger yes they could have considered

    Hi, I have done 23,652 kms in my MG Comet in one day short of 9 months. Loving every moment of driving it. Yes it does have a few quirks, but we can ask ourselves, 'is there a perfect car', the answer is NO. The positives out weigh the negatives by a huge difference. I am open to share my experience.

    This sounds like just a review and not a long term review. A long term review should provide details on the maintenance cost, how does it function in rainy season, were there any battery drain issue, wheel alignment and other details. While the video is good i personally feel this is more of a car review than an ownership review

    The review is generally positive, but there are some inaccuracies. Firstly, MG already offers a buyback plan. Secondly, the passenger seat belt is designed in that position to allow for easier ingress and egress for second-row passengers.

  • @TheLazyWandererMys
    @TheLazyWandererMys 4 месяца назад +4

    Its nice to see Sohini review a car for a change. I honestly do not like how the Comet looks, but aside from that, its almost practical, mostly for two or younger passengers who don't mind squeezing in through the front door. While all companies claim they offer 8 year warranty, how does it really work? Do they replace it after it conks off? Cuz with batteries, they tend to degrade over time and unlike ICE vehicle where you could replace a few parts and get its efficiency back up, you cant really do that with EVs. So technically an EV battery could charge up to max 30% and still be working, your range with take a huge nose dive, but technically the battery is still working. Does the warranty cover a batteries max State of Charge? And if they do, what is the min amount of max SOC before a customer can claim a new battery under warranty?

    • @GurmeetSingh-dz8ff
      @GurmeetSingh-dz8ff 4 месяца назад +3

      If the capacity goes less than 70 percent in the warranty period, battery will be replaced.

      Ev lasts 25 years with avg driving kms. Atleast 16 years. If a manufacturer gives 8 yrs warranty double is the lifespan is normal equation.

    • @TheLazyWandererMys
      @TheLazyWandererMys 4 месяца назад +2

      @@bondnikunj While theoretically it may last, my only worry is the battery life cycle, in it's most usabe/effecient form. The battery life will greatly effect the resale value. And if phone batteries are anything to go by, that 25 years may not hold for the car battery, even 16 is a big question mark. I know, they are not made to the same standards, but it is still an unknown factor. Then there is the question of how long a manufacturer will continue to produce batteries for the vehicle. Unlike mechanical components, electronics in general have a much shorter lifespan, they don't last as long and/or on the other hand there is constant innovation which makes tech obsolete in a few years. we don't know what battery tech will be 5-10 years down the line. Will manufacturers still make batteries for old vehicles? or the only option is scrapping them? Cuz unlike ICE engine, you cant do jugaad to fix EV, no? I may sound like overthinking, but these are genuine concerns, especially if the EV will be the primary vehicle in the family.

    • @bondnikunj
      @bondnikunj 4 месяца назад +2

      @@TheLazyWandererMys well if its below 75% they will replace it. So the figure I quote of 16 years is the time it takes for battery to fall to 80 bcos that's the point after which they no longer considers a battery at optimal performance/ range. Also its just a matter of couple of years where the life of battery will be close to 40-50 years. China already has a few. But in all honesty resale is a big point and u r right things will change drastically next 4-5 yrs. But mostly the worries and overthinking isn't worth it bcos travelling will see a major revolution. People aren't realising how good self driving has become. U can see cars after cars in china and US going fully autonomous and by a year or 2 it would be absolutely a stupid proposition to own a car and waste parking space. Also these cars taxi's like baidu's are so much cheaper than a normal taxi. So anyways the whole market will shift. Its very hard to predict if normal people are allowed to drive in next 5-6 yrs once self driving is proved to be 40-50 times safer than a normal driver. Only enthusiast will get some kind of driving license that will be too hard to achieve. So don't think of that. Mg comet is anyways a second car mainly. And a great 1 tbh
